Boonies yes. Very beautiful boonies, it's grape growing country. Most of Missouri is still wild, with the occasional small community, or solitary house here and there. It would be highly likely that Antar is this events only witness.

There is a lot of military activity in central Missouri, but for me the burned face says it was more than that.

Ye Gods! My "experience" was tame by comparison. I only grew up in a house that may or may not have been haunted.

is this anywhere near savannah?

And while the noisy jets flying often over the Coastal Empire for the next 30 days may provide somewhat of a nuisance to locals, Grabowski said, the training is necessary to prepare troops who could at any time be deployed to a war zone.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase Savannah and showcase the Combat Readiness Training Center here in Savannah as we bring in guest units from all around the country to show what this area has to offer,” Grabowski said. “We know the skies over Savannah will be noisy over the next 30 days, but we like to refer to that as the sound of freedom.”

Looks like a big no on that. And I for one would really appreciate it if the military didn't practice over populated areas with money they don't have...
As far as I know, Mach 1 and sonic booms are still prohibited over houses unless it's an emergency. Can anyone with recent military background verify that?

BURNZYY
How about the people that dont believe either help debunk this or leave the thread and let the people who want to try figure this out figure it out. Just a suggestion

If you ever do make it to the States, consider your tour guide booked and ready. You can camp out in central Missouri and get an eyefull.

Adding to the list I'm compiling.
I'm fully on board with not questioning or expecting proof in this specific forum so I am just trying to better understand what the OP encountered.

1. Object destroyed by planes.
2. Her face was burned or at least left with a red color.
3. Doesn't seem likely the burns on her neck or face were caused by jets as the low level at which they would have to fly would cause other problems or leave other signs of flying so low.
4. From what I can read no debris from a destroyed craft.
5. Warbling metallic object
6. Pursued by 5 planes.
7. Loud sound event
8. No reports anywhere else yet.

Why? Just because people aren't automatically going with Aliens as an explanation doesn't mean we don't want to figure out what happened. If you witnessed something like the OP did, wouldn't you want it explained? Or would you be disappointed if there was a more prosaic explanation for what you thought you saw?

Personally, I'd want to know what the heck I really witnessed. If it was a military exercise I'd be fine with that. People who say "pics or it didn't happen" can simply be ignored. People coming into the thread and trolling is par for the course with claims like these. Some of us don't doubt the OP saw something, we just aren't going to assume it was the air force shooting at little green men when there are more reasonable explanations.

Simple solution: Don't feed the trolls, and lets try and find out what it is the OP witnessed.

thats fair enough but if shes claiming burns then surely she should still post pics for people to make up their own mind?the lack of pics doesn,t help, why wouldn,t you post a pic of what you claim?the fact it isn,t true, maybe?

if i claim the same thing then even if i have no means of taking a pic i find a way.especially if its to prove something significant.

In case no one else has asked, I would respectfully request a picture of your burnt face...with a comparison picture of your face that has not been burnt...

Absent that, some follow up with some documentation indicating your face has been burnt...

Nothing that could possibly reveal your identity...block out eyes and nose...

I'd agree if this were something of a smaller magnitude. The thing is, people don't come by often claiming to have seen 5 fighter jets engaging an entity over mainland US. I am a skeptic, but I do believe that there might be something to the UFO phenomenon... be it earthly or otherwise. The reason that I personally respond so passionately is because I can't stand it when a field is smeared/discredited because of claims like this, and confirmed hoaxers. For example, I believe that there is something greater to the mind. That psychic effects may exist. I, however, respond critically to claimants because of the amount of hoaxes out there. I breathed a sigh of relief when Sylvia Browne passed away. She was a heartless, greedy scam artist. People like her are the reason why scientific bodies are hesitant to fund or take part in paranormal research.

In the case of this thread, the OP is our potential Sylvia Browne. I want there to be research. I want this stuff to be taken seriously. Making extravagant claims, and having them accepted wholesale on faith is not good for the UFO community. It isn't good for any community.

Hopefully that explains where I'm coming from. I'm sorry if I've offended anyone in my previous posts. My blood tends to boil when I get in situations like this, and I need to learn to control that.

On the contrary, I've had some extremely anomalous experiences starting from a very young age and I've shared them here many times. The difference? I don't expect anyone to believe me and I don't continually post on the thread adamantly expecting people to, irregardless of having no proof to offer.

Some things just are not accepted by 'modern science' and you're left to your own devices to question your own sanity, whether or not you've had enough sleep lately, anything else it could possibly be, and then accepting it. There's simply no way to prove lots of things you've seen with your own two eyes and there's no point in trying to convince others; that doesn't make it any less real to yourself.

If I ever seen a UFO or other striking skyward event, I'll simply post it for the sharing and historical documentation and move on. In the end, what more can you do?

And yeah, Al, good point and good for Antar for spreading good will even if maybe telepathically to a maybe alien... and addressing the folks that poo-poo the woo-woo, heh, well, maybe you're right and maybe you're wrong and the reality is probably a huge grey area in between the polarities.

I totally get looking for mundane or more rational explanations, but it can be done politely, right? Antar is a smart, grounded lady whose had some crazy, ungrounding stuff happen to her, like many folks here.

Edit: and Stormdancer77... that is a weird tale... I had another (just the latest) weird thing happen to me a couple nights ago where it seemed something invisible made an imprint on my bed and terrified me and I laughed and went back to sleep... so... ???

Pretty sure she stated at the beginning that she does not have a camera or a camera-phone or a camcorder, or a webcam. This thread is getting derailed over and over again by people who are asking for pictures as "proof" of her claim. So here's some food for thought:

I am a make-up artist, and I can tell you right now that asking for a picture of the burned area would NOT constitute any type of verifiable proof. I could make someone look as if they suffered a burn in about 5 minutes with some ordinary makeup, and you would not be able to tell the difference. Sorry, but not having a picture of her scorched face does not make her story any less true, and it is patently silly for anyone to suggest otherwise. Not to mention blatant harassment, seeing as how she already told everyone that she does not own any devices of that type. I don't have a camera or a cell phone or a webcam, nor have I ever owned a television. There are in fact people out here in the world who don't have all the cool technological toys at their disposal.

I don't think that how many posts anyone has makes him/her/it more credible than others...I've been a member for a couple of years but don't have too many OP's under my belt simply because I do not have the time to spend online that others do. But i do agree with the assessment of some others who have stated they would vouch for Antar, and i have to say I am like-minded, because over time you figure out who is trustworthy on this site and who isn't. I believe her...if she says she saw it, she damn well saw it.

I agree entirely.. There is no need for a revealing picture,
The op could easily take a face shot that would make it hard to identify her/him.
And crop another one previously taken.

Come on OP show us a little faith that you are asking us to have in your sighting claim.

The thing is, I don't think antar came here wanting validation, other than the validation of fellow eye witnesses. she came here for answers and to talk about something that was very powerful and has likely taken all of her thoughts since then. When our local refinery blew up once, it was all I could think of. A major event takes over your mind like that.

But you can bet if i came here and said, "I saw a UFO. I have no pictures", with my posting history I would damn well expect a touch of respect from at least the members who have been around for awhile.

Is that you in your avatar picture?
If so how did you get it if you have no devices of the
kind used for taking pictures and loading them on to a website???
