Precisely! I liked and resonated with the info... as far as memes go, it wasn't damaging...except to existing power structures, that is.

As far as fantasy of one individual, yup, that's what I thought until I got that info I laid out above... (shakes head) ...as far as consciousness control... that's what ALL info is...we are what we are exposed to!

I'm with MrMask on this one, I have been around this watering hole much longer than my avatar claims and whatever happened in that thread is simply not the same poster prior. If there was anyone on this site less likely to support such claims I don't see'em but by all means point them out.

There's a saying: Lead, follow or get out of the way. Some people know their role and step into it proudly even if just a follower. This community has grown and matured into a platform to discuss truth just as much as it is to receive obfuscation, propaganda, disinformation....whatever. Certain individuals who also have influence are similarly influenced by those with more clout.

"Pick" the least likely person to spin a community on their collective heads and measure the response. Find the tipping point and mark it. Inject further disinformation and watch it grow, like a Chia Pet. Perhaps ATS outlived its usefulness to some and seek to do it harm.

Either way, whatever happened on those threads, if you're looking for truth, probably have better luck digging up a Dulce base with a spoon.

When I think back at certain behaviors from those threads I keep asking myself, que bono? Who benefits? What is gained by making such a dramatic attempt to induce creditability if not to sway masses? Again, I ask, who benefits? Why does someone risk their own creditability with such behaviors? Who benefits?

Just to re-assure, this online persona isn't gonna spin out from any info he gets... no matter how weird or detaching from the consensus it is... I'll be spunout from private cogitations upon the nature of personhood itself long before any exterior new bit does that... truly nothing will surprise at this point... though I hope I'm not jaded and dead enough to not be delighted by something new to me.

ETA and excellent re: getting more real time off line... I myself have been reintroduced to the sun and canyon country of my environs and despite being sequestered by a home office, find time in the real world infinitely healthier, overall.

KPB, aside from having to gulp and scrabble to remember some long ago vocabulary lessons in brainiac academy, I hear you. I can't, for the life of me, figure out the downside of this alleged "true" information, though... it IS terrible along with hopeful... as most things are in that yin/yang manner.

But you are entirely correct about attachments to belief systems... they control you and do far more damage than good.

So, as stated, I'm never 'all in'... just considering some novel info, is all... cause that's what gets me up in the morning (or afternoons on bad days).

I'm more upset about UFO cults that kill children and adults and things like that. I am more concerned about Jacques Vallee's warnings detailed in his book "Messengers of Deception: UFO Contacts and Cults".

I am also very upset that my peers seem to be so weak minded that they jump on any shiny piece of "hoax" as they free fall into a false world view that creates an apathetic public.

I don't know if you truly understand the ramifications of a public that lack critical thinking skills. Look around.

M. Mask is one sharp cookie... but he jumped in with preconceptions this time, imo... he came onto the thread a ball of righteous indignation and latched onto poor Zaphod like a rabid vampire... and managed to get it shut down before proper crowd sourcing could be accomplished. Sort of like some guy running into the movie theater and shouting, "Hey everyone... this is just a film, idiots!"

I sure understood his impulse as grand guardian of all things true... but again, this info isn't exactly damaging or cult building and the individual (or agency... who knows) who posted it just left... and won't be around to soak up credulous foot lick-ers. I imagine he's (they're) looking at the results though... if human!

It doesn't suss as that sort of thread/instance... thus I'm asking you good folks here to ponder and perhaps show me something I missed.

Sadly I didn't get to see what he had wrote before it was deleted. Justified or not, I am sure there were some nuggets of information worth pondering within the lost text. Shame the thread got closed without closure...., even if it allowed MM or anyone else to contribute more ideas. Maybe the thread I linked above will offer that in the days to come.

Yeah, I'm catching up. Censorship always raises my hackles, although I sometimes see the basic point if someone goes psycho on another member. I don't consider Mask a psycho, but we all have our moments of frustration. We'll see.

Somehow people seem to assume that the 'control loop entity' is sane, rational or at least comprehensible....They also assume that the human appendages of the CLE, especially the presumed alphabet or mystical order crazies (theosophy...arcane society...care international rose crux or thelmic variants etc) are somewhat competent and being good little soldiers playing their role.

Well the CLE that dogged me for 40 years is insane and in pain...and lashes out at itself and fights itself through all these proxy battles. It's more like masturbatuon than anything actually involving us.

It seems to me that the core CLE has exactly one desire and exactly one fear.

The desire is to keep ITSELF distracted by keeping us distracted....as it lives through us...

The fear is to be 'caught' as it really is...it doesn't want to face how weak and ephemeral it really is.....it's not a god or godling....more like that nasty rat creature they use on Southpark when they show god....or a very delusional AI computer program. ..

I don't know WHAT it is at its core but it sure seems to be afraid of facing reality...

This is why ufos only appear to tease...
This is why 'summoned entities' never let themselves be 'caught' or bigfoot or whatever.

Its all a big tease and distraction and vapor.....so that CLE doesn't have to grow up.

My 2 cents.

Btw. ...I'm very busy in real life too....more than ever before. ..found a wonderful woman to spend my life with....and happily do honey do's constantly....never been happier....don't want to screw that up...

But this CLE took the first 40+ years of my life away....I'm not feeling charitible....I may or may not put on my armor one last time....

Yaaaay, regarding your personal life, sir... yaaay! I have found that finding is... difficult... but perhaps active looking is the first step, heh.

And as far as your ruminations upon the CLE (control- ?- entity...forgot the acronym atm -but the gist is known)... I will say it fits many aspects of this 'butterfly' that are never firmly pinned to the wax board, so-to-speak... which is why I, too, liked Keel and Valee's takes in the first place... as they agree with my own experiences/ observations... the Trickster runs wild in this Astr0 instance... quantum and mechanical uncertainty at its finest.

So, I have put my golden stamp of "Huh, something out of the ordinary here" upon the affair and await further developments... which was my whole point at first... but it sure is nice typing to you all again, as physical people in my environs just back slowly away from this sort of thing.

Okay, I finished Astr0's thread. Unfortunately I have to mow some acreage. I'll throw this out there for now: Most who frequent this thread are familiar with folk who have been made to feel as if they are "insiders" and are subsequently fed all kinds of faulty information for various intents and purposes.

Think Paul Bennewitz for example. A mix of truth, lies, and showmanship that sometimes includes elaborate "stage props" to totally blow the target's mind. They are often then released into the wild to spread the desired disinfo.

It seems to me that some consistently vague self-proclaimed "insiders" and Astr0 "apologists" are rather prominent in the threads and posts leading up to, and including, Astr0's opus. Just some food for thought. That would, of course, make them more victim than villain, but then again a villain's puppet can do much damage.

I am concerned for Astr0. Maybe Mr. Mask was right about his identity being assumed by others. Maybe he did reveal too much about more earthly matters and got black bagged and then discredited with all this. Maybe he had a break with reality. Maybe it's all true. Maybe he was a plant from the beginning. And maybe we should note those "insider-types" that are on the peripheral of this story.

Yes to all... I found myself fond of the brain behind the words, too, over the few weeks I 'knew" him. By gosh, it would make a wonderful screenplay/novel.

The other persons who are/were apologists... they, so far to a man, feel ashamed and embarrassed (heck, me too, but I am an all info on the table sort, raised eyebrows be darned)... but were sucked in despite their very pragmatic (well except for one individual) natures.

And there is point two... what, if a psi-op, is the downside here... what would change in the public grand meme ...except no aliens probing... just docs with mind reading/playing machines.

A psi-op from the usual suspects would include good-ol' greys from Ziti- rigatoni land... it doesn't 'taste' like that to me, anyway. I'll shut up again... I tend to run on... apologies for repeating myself!

You know I like you and I think that you are one of the nicest web-presences I have met. Right? You didn't, huh? You and I, I think, are on the same LAN.

Cities? Right? They have been on my mind too. Constantly.

That's what philosopher's seem to do since Socrates and especially since Plato got ahold of Socrates: they get themselves in to this place where they feel as though there should be a physical embodiment of The Good, or Justice, and they invariably imagine it as a city. Like Bacon's New Atlantis thing that you linked me to, or Plato's Republic or Aquinas' City of God; then there's Calvin.

I'm convined that the pattern for all of this comes from our brains and that despite all the differences that we as humans are able to find in one another, it's this "city-building-pattern" that really links us all.

Human organisation as a whole, I think, is neurological: all of our management systems and ways of solving problems with engineering and science.

So, organizations like Freemasonry, to me, are secondary to this neurological impulse that we have towards organizing ourselves, and we do it a little differently depending on what sort of stressors in the environment are driving change.

So, of course there is going to be that element that looks like a secret college or Freemasonry in Astr0's story, because as Baddogma said, the story is very human.

So I don't see ascended masters or secret colleges or whatever, I just see an old plot device that is driven by how we organize ourselves.

It's a pattern recognition problem, not a secret society problem.
