OK guys we have an avatar to make, lets make it good ........................ and let's be careful out there *Queue music from Hill street blues* I've no idea where that memory came from.

nonspec check back, there will be more than one over the next couple days if we stay true to form. Anything you want added taken away or integrated just let us know.

For fun, its not perfect at all...but this is what I'm working on to give you an idea... I thought this would be fun.. I'm taking a picture, keeping it to look like a picture and taking a thing out of it, and making it look very 3D.

This one in particular, I'm working with it large to get everything right... (and saving it here I do see some mistakes!) but I'm going to make this picture into a waterfall animation, to where the water is falling onto the picture like so...

It should be pretty cool when I'm done I think!

Can't wait to see the finished image, how many layers you got there ? I wouldn't want to insult you by guessing, but I'm guessing around 6-8

lol... just three.. I'm not really a layer person!

In that one I have the original image, then added the border and removed the water in the second layer, then the water layer.

How I removed the water in that, was I used content aware... to replace/fill the background after I removed the water, and then I distorted the water I removed to make it look off of the picture...

I am more than happy with that, I like the way you managed to put my workshop in the background and even left the drawers open.

Are you spying on me or do you know how ATS'ers live.

You need a transparent background first. Please read the first page, it has that too, if I remember correctly.

This is the original picture:



I selected the water according to color ranges.. (which needs some work because I selected too much green in there!) and used content aware to fill/replace the water I removed - this is what content aware did:



And this is the water I took... which I distorted in order to get the effect:

I thought the first one nailed it but now I am not sure.

Take whatever we throw at you, RR and I have some kind of synchronisity going on, we keep finding the identical base image and then work out, it's weird but it happens.

No need to be torn no ego's here

I use history a lot... but history will only go back so far... so keep in mind when your pushing history... and start up a new layer!

OR make as many layers as you want! But I utilize history more than most!
