Oh no could that mean a national bacon shortage?

Do not joke about such things. Not. Funny.

I don't doubt there has been a lot of hype - they'd rather hype it and be wrong, that underplay it and be wrong.

But you are quite right, in comparison to other events, this is pretty minor. We're not soft though, it's a national obsession, the weather!

Stu
I will wait and see - BUT we will both know if it has been hyped by tomorrow.
I still stand by the fact that it is nothing much - probably.
It is not like the bush fires in the Blue Mountains or Katrina or some Siberian snow storm.
The British are by and large just soft.

Don't forget fukushima and tsunami's.. I think you guys down under will be just fine.. Im the south east of America and have survived through cat 4 hurricanes and EF 3 tornado's.. Not going to be such a big deal. The media hypes the smallest things here now after Katrina it gave them the excuse they were wanting.

Does this mean our electricity will get cheaper, spinning all those turbines on our horzion?

|N|o? Its still going up 10% you say?

I am jacks lack of surprise

No doubt the uless peices of crap will break as they wont be made for that "type" of wind and our bill will go up 20% to replace them (IE line the pockets of the energy barons).
