I love it. Now not only am I not a vampire, a debate begins to form as to the existence of women on the Internet. Can we stop feeding this troll?

Eidelon clearly has not read the thread for comprehension. I've never said I was worried about "a staking". We call that statement, a "strawman". A popular debate tactic.

Perhaps he is hoping for you to post a nuddie pic as proof lol...he is maybe into vampire porn lol.

When you've talked to others who you also believe are vampires, have you asked them about any experiences with hunters or researchers etc. Have yourself or others ever been tracked down by a researcher and asked for quotes etc, like 'interview with a vampire' type idea.

I'm also intrigued by any faith or beliefs you may have or any knowledge you may have, especially anything that may hint or link to a duality concept of any type. Any fables or myths you have picked up that have helped explain your heritage ?

A PM is fine if its not something you wish to be posted and discretion and non disclosure is assured.

I knew she was a woman before she created this thread.
I read a lot of posts here and have a pretty decent memory.

I think for it to be a heritage I'd have to be able to say it hereditary but I can't. I really don't know if that's true. One might assume it's in the DNA, but it may not be.

As to faith, I have one but won't talk about it here. I don't know anything about fables and vampires. I was interviewed by a psychologist in the UK once, just on the perspective. He and I did some follow ups a bit. Nothing like fiction I assure you.

My heritage is Norwegian in part and that's as close as I get to following my heritage.

The idea of hunters actually came from some vampires I speak to from the UK, who told me they were accosted by one claiming to be a "vampire hunter" and so that spawned the question in my mind to ask here.

I assure you, I did read every word.

You are inquiring about "vampire hunters", without doing your own legwork because, going in order from least to most likely:

A. You deprive other humans of their vitality to sustain yourself.

B. You are under the delusion that you require other people's vitaility to sustain yourself.

C. You are spinning a cool story to deprive other humans of their vital force in a far more subtle exhange.

And, once again, ew.

There are role players of all makes and models out there.

Talk about a tough hunting tag to fill. May as well be hunting purple unicorns. And on the off chance they're real, you're doomed anyways.

Ha, no, I doubt that. I'm not too doomed any more than we all are.

Finding the true things in the world like real vampires and other things is like digging a mine shaft with a shovel in the back yard. Sure, it starts out as dirt and clay and muck, but, eventually you hit bedrock and water, from there you can just follow that layer horizontally. I assure you, I'm on that level now and it's amazing what turns up if I start digging.

Still, I suspect vampire hunters fall into the category of fanatical humans and they're just as zealous as those that hunt aliens/Bigfoot. They're SURE vampires exist and they're just crazy enough to try and do something about it.

I understand skepticism from the general population on my existence, that's part of the game that's been set up but I'm looking for the people who are seeing past the game board to the hands moving the pieces.

The problem is that water and bedrock exist and vampires do not.

Lady here. Genuine article.

Here's me at 17, back when I was a LARPer. Not into White Wolf, just straight-up D&D. At least, even at that age, I knew the difference.

And my tastes run toward... *cough* other genres.

Anyway.

OP, here's how you could provide a shred of proof, both of your sex and your affliction. Before and after feeding pics. Yeah? There must be a discernable difference, if you aren't trolling or just subject to a psychological disorder.

Or, if you've ever been to a physician, which, if you have the clinical affliction I assume you would have sought help for it before resorting to an online forum, you could scan the diagnosis? Redact the names/places and post it?

Oh, but even then, are you expecting someone to pipe up with info on a super secret vampire hunter lodge?

Better roll a BS save.

What in the world does her sex have to do with anything?
This damn thread wasn't even intended to be about her "affliction" either. This stuff is getting borderline silly.

And I really appreciate you repeated concerns for my gullibility or whatever, but trust me, I'm fine.

I'm wearing my big boy pants.
I've been on this site for nearly ten years. I've seen all kinds of wacky crap come and go now. This is nothing more than an interesting convo to me. And I made a new "friend" along the way.

So again, no need for you to feign concern on my account. I'm sure most others are capable of living their own lives as well, wonder woman.

So it hasn't migrated much from where it started.

Glad to hear it. You seem to take these things pretty rough.

The mud's already thick enough (and black enough for that matter), without piling on fresh muck.

So, you're not invested emotionally? Sans proof? Of any kind? With the OP's opening gambit being based on a prima face acceptance of the claim to vampirism?

Do you recall the kind of turmoil you went through on the other vampire thread? Do you think you're the only one susceptible to that kind of predatory narrative?

That turmoil had much to do with me having had a bit too much to drink a couple nights. Haha

But again, I appreciate the concern.

Are we gonna discuss the topic?

Last note.

If it were a human killing or harming other humans for their gratification, it would surely be billed as an affliction.

Just because it's tarted up with romance novel grade trappings and deployed to hit the target's self-loathing doesn't make it any less pathological.

I think that you guys have been discussing the topic, and she's been doing it quite well. If the topic is legitimate information about vampire hunters, then one also must consider the topic of the existence of vampires for, in order for vampire hunters to really exist, vampires must really exist, QED.

Since vampires do not exist, vampire hunters do not exist except for those deluded people who are just as delusional as those who describe themselves as vampires.

Thus, in actuality, we are discussing two delusional groups who pretend to circle each other but really just hang out and think they are cool and cutting edge.

To your credit, you have a point.

But the OP was written seeking info on a particular group. Eh, whatever. It hardly matters. I just found those hints at a group of people who hunt down info on people and observe them, to later be decided whether they live or die, very interesting

That is some very dedicated LARPing right there.
I've caught three independent references to the same group now.

Fascinating. Whether they are hunting real vampires or mythical beings I find it intriguing.

This is the secret societies forum. Not secret undead super humans forum.

ETA: seeking legitimate info on Southern Baptists. Its rumored that they congregate and pray to God. God doesn't exist. Therefore, legitimate Southern Baptists don't exist...

Does something really have to exist for someone to hunt for it ? There are plenty examples in science where evidence was searched for theories that were later proven false. The fact that the evidence did not in actuality exist does not lessen the intent and the validity of the existence of the searcher.

So, while you may be correct in stating that vampires do not exist (a topic that would need its own thread), that does not 'prove' that serious and committed vampire hunters also do not exist.

Whether I believe the OP is a vampire or not is irrelevant to my ability to contribute if I am able. It may even be better for the general discussion if the OP does take this stance so we can try and understand the viewpoint from the hunted.

It is surely to everyones benefit to try and understand the mindset of people or groups whose reality perspective is different from our own.

When talking about "vampire hunters" I assume we are not talking about legitimate researchers such as folklorists or anthropologists but people who actually believe there is undead and are actually hunting them down.

Thus, in reality, said vampire hunters are one of two things. People who claim to be vampire hunters because it is a fun game or because they think it is cool or they want to belong to a subgenre or something different and they don't really hunt down and kill people but just talk about being "cool and dangerous hunters." (Most likely)

Or, someone delusional who really thinks there are vampires and actually may try to kill someone because he is under the delusion he is facing a vampire. (Not so likely)

Either way, neither group has any rare, unusual, or esoteric knowledge and, like vampire faddish people like the OP, are really driven by pop culture.

Cool mate, and your perfectly entitled to your opinion and beliefs so I have no problem with that at all. In my own view, reality is seldom as black and white as we would like (or hope ) it to be.
