John your thoughts on the militarization of the police forces and ad hock organizations tasked for crowd control inside the U.S. borders. Is this a normal evolution of cause and effect or have the inside circles of power that you might be aware of deemed it is essential for the survival of the republic or their own power structures? There have been many articles about all the alphabet agencies being armed and around here one report of the government buying over 1.7 billion rounds of hollow point ammo got many people's attention.. Comment if you care to or have an opinion?

Like you I have the benefit of a long hindsight which to my memory never included a Swat team plus backup for something that before was taken care of by a Mayberry Sherriff...? Anyway thanks for joining the sight for a few questions and hope it is entertaining for you as I know it will be for us... Salute

On my web site you'll find an entire monograph on this topic. I'll be writing more about it shortly - probably in my HP blog.

Hi Colonel. It's very kind of you to come and answer some questions for us. I'd like to ask about Skinwalker Ranch. What do you think is going on there with relation to the strange sightings that have occurred?

Welcome to ATS, I would agree with your statement in that UFOs are real and that the explanation is probably a very complex one and my question which may or not be connected to this, have you ever spoken with anyone (or even heard rumours) of possible ancient sites being discovered in which technology(or something that we have had no knowledge of yet is significant) has ever been found?

Probaly heard the same rumors you have. Have not seen any hard evidence.

Hi John,
Welcome to ATS.

Frederick Valentich and his disappearance - what do you think happened there?

I very much appreciate you taking the time to visit ATS and discuss these fantastic topics with us.

Hi and thank you for your time!

Do you think that humans are the only intelligent species living on Earth?

Welcome to ATS! I'm glad you are here.

Thanks for taking our questions.

You have stated that you have had experience with shamans and healers around the world.
What can you tell us about these experiences?
(and were you yourself or someone you know healed?)
Have you noticed any theme or commonality that runs with the authentic ones?

I'm sure there are many 'fakes' out there.
Also, those who have spiritual forces around them that are not good.
When the non-authentic ones are involved .. have you seen people 'get worse'
instead of better ... or nothing at all happen?

You mentioned John of God in Brazil.
Tell us about him.
Also - How about people who are healers in the Northern Western Hemisphere?

I have one person in particular in mind but I don't know if I am allowed to post the name.
I'd like an opinion on her (if you have one). Some guidance from a moderator on this
would be helpful.

I'm only supposed to ask one question at a time ... So I'm asking about the healers and shamans .... but my question sort of has many levels to it.
Thanks again.

When it comes to healers, caveat emptor is the best advice. My preference is getting personal recommendations. There are two huge issues that complicate things. Obviously there are frauds. The second is sometimes the answer is no. By that I mean, some people are not healed even though the healer has been successful with others. The same is true for traditional medicine, but we overlook those failures.

As for John of God, we have visited him. You can find quite a bit about him on the Internet. Possibly the best testimonial comes from Wayne Dyer via Oprah.

Like you, I would not be comfortable providing a stamp of approval on specific healers - but they are here.

Welcome Mr Alexander,

I ask everyone this, given half the chance. Do you believe aliens walk amongst us? Have you met any?

I know they do and I have to live my life as normal as possible with that knowledge.

WE'll agree to disagree then. I do not think ET is here.

Again, I come down against the ETH as it is too simple.

In that case do you prefer the Extra Dimensional Hypothesis ? , and if that's the case are we talking spiritual or physical ?

Quite possibly. The spiritual aspect is a dimension most people don't really want to consider.

Hello and welcome to AboveTopSecret.com. Thank you for taking the time to deny our ignorance.

My question is simple: not many of the AMA guests have been willing to be entirely forthright with their suspicions and educated guesses regarding the nature of UFO's and their apparent origins as determined through devoted studies...such as those studies may be, given the nature of the subject material. Would you be willing to offer your personal insights, such as impressions you've gotten during your years of investigating these phenomena? Do the findings seem to mesh with any known model of physics, or do they seemingly operate under a completely different class of material interaction? Is it predominantly military testing? Or is the alien theory a more fitting hypothesis? The biggest question is the nature of these occurrences and whether we're being played for fools by ambitious officials or being protected from a knowledge we deserve to possess. Maybe that's presumptuous on my part. Do you think, if aliens do exist, we deserve to be told?

Anything you can tell us is appreciated.

That is hardly a simple question. As all agree, most UFOs have prosaic answers. Others are probably from all of the above. The really difficult ones just defy explanation. Have addressed a lot of these in the book and far too long to go into here.

Colonel Alexander Ph.D Sir,

From a military stand point of view...Do you think that through ART/MUSIC and MEDIA...that most of the world's population are being fed 'CARL JUNG TYPE' unconscious symbolization to control and lead the masses?

Thank you for your time sir.

Welcome Mr. Alexander, and thank you for sharing your time with us.

One question: What is your opinion on the ufo's seen by many people, and chased by the Belgian military in 1989? Were they military craft, or something else..
edit on 30-9-2013 by soulwaxer because: (no reason given)

Definitely something else - but I don't know what. Not ours.

Hello sir and thank you for your time!

The question I would like to post is in regards to an earlier response you had about consciousness effecting future and prior events.

Me and a group of people I work with just did an experiment with this and got very interesting results. We did the experiment as close to a scientific model as we knew and could.

Anyhow have you ever seen anything that sticks out as an underlying ability in ( perhaps certain) people or groups that account for unexplainable phenomena??

Perhaps hauntings or certain ufo sightings being nothing more than a manifestation of the observers ?

Recommend an old book Conjuring Up Phillip. There is hard evidence to support your claim.

Hello and Welcome Dr. Alexander,

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us.

Do you think a contributing factor to the disconnect between mainstream science and what can loosely be called "the unexplained" stems from the lack of practical and involved investigation/research?

In your opinion, how willing are the established institutions to accept the unconventional or the non-generally accepted theories that are common within your unique fields of study?

Third question, off-topic:

-Are you a fan of the film "The Men who stare at goats"? I have seen some similar parallels between your history and the movie.

In noting your work with IANDS (something that is of high personal interest to me), I would like to know your answer to how you feel about current NDE research and its potential impact.

Mr. Alexander, some people claim that NDEs are simply a physiological manifestation of the brain's shutting down at the point of death. Have you seen any evidence that refutes this claim, and if so, what was it?

Thank you!

The only people making that claim are ones who have not investigated the topic. There are many forms of evidence. Check out the IANDS web site. Also recommend Proof of Heaven, by Eben Alexander (no relative)

Always loved that cartoon. Many questions here. Blue Book was exactly what the USAF wanted. Make the problem go away. DOD does defense/security. The question to Condon was threat, not reality of UFOs. Since there has not been an invasion by ET, he seems to have been right (partially). As for Blum, he stated more than he knew. Even heard he got the topic wrong as Hersch had pointed him toward RV not UFOs.

So if I were to read between the lines. I take it when you say, "DOD does defense/security. The question to Condon was threat, not reality of UFOs." That you are indicating the intelligence community never employed any of the bigger guns (e.g. MASINT systems) because they didn't think tracking unknowns was enough to warrant the manpower and cost?

If you could comment more explicitly on this section below (I understand if all you can say is no comment). I would appreciate it. As is, the answer sounds like a resounding "no."

I am curious to what extent you participated in MASINT/ARGUS related operations, and whether you are aware if data fusion systems were ever crossed over to look at the UFO problem. I understand you can't talk about intelligence systems in detail. However I would appreciate if you could address whether you know of any automated tracking system like Hessdalen, Project Pennine, or UFO Capture in use (past or present) by the DoD to try and grab multiple source inputs to better figure out what people are seeing.

Thanks for the reply John.

edit on 2013-9-30 by Xtraeme because: (no reason given)

Actually, MASINT didn't come along as a branch until after Blue Book was concluded. As I indicated elswhere, these are extremely rare events and don't make the cut when it comes to resource allocation.
