What is the next predicted date for a major catastrophe\earth changing event since so far not a single one has actually happened.

I've been here 9 1/2 years. Of all the predictions made on this site, or discussed on this site, I think I can remember TWO actually happening and being fulfilled. I don't know if that means those making the predictions were given advanced knowledge ... or (and more likely) they just got in a lucky guess and managed to hit it. (even a blind pig can find an acorn once in a while)

Okay .. I just googled around for 'prediction california 9.3 earthquake'
And it looks like every year for the past 4 or 5 years there have been
predictions for a 9.3 earthquake for California.

It's really strange.

Every year the same size earthquake has been predicted by "god' or whoever.
And every year nothing happens.

Very interesting links. THX THX.

I've long been a bit skeptical of the plate tectonic theory. Haven't known why . . . and they made it sound quite plausible . . . and I believed it for a long time to a point. There just didn't seem to be a totally believable whole gestalt about it somehow.

Maybe part of it was that they SOUNDED SOOOOOOO much more convinced and knowledgeable than they seemed to justify.

Stan Deyo of

www.standeyo.com...

has a different perspective. He's no ignoramus. He's quite a scientist in his own right.

Anyway--he asserts that it's more plausible that the earth is an expanding sphere. He claims that such a reality explains far more data points than does the plate tectonics one.

I don't know if he's right, or not. But at least bright, well trained folks disagree dramatically with the plate tectonics theory.

IF the expanding globe is true . . . it seems to me that a 10.X+ quake could be quite possible.

Certainly the Bible prophecies for this era include "EVERY MOUNTAIN AND EVERY ISLAND will be moved from its place."

We don't know precisely what that means but it does NOT sound like a relatively small quake magnitude.

Interesting posts to track down.

Not sure when I'll get to them.

If you put links to the titles, I'll try and check them out, then.

So, if this doesn't happen the either "God" is a fraudster or "God" is a Scamster or "God" is simply ignorant, stupid and not quite as good as his many millions of followers say.

Evidently your considerations are rather, extremely, narrow and rigid in scope and application.

Other options:

1. Black ops folks inserted such images, voices, ideas into heads of victims.

2. The people concerned were obsessing over such topics the day before and such seeded their dreams. That still does not explain how 3 different folks in different locations had the same dream about the same date.

Your solution to that puzzlement seems to be to ARBITRARILY DISALLOW IT JUST BECAUSE--JUST BECAUSE YOU DISBELIEVE . . . as though your disbelief were omniscient and omnipotent.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

3. demonic occult forces seeded the minds with false information to discredit their Christianity--because they didn't have their spiritual acts together enough to prevent such.

4. They ate too many spicey tacos for dinner.

Sigh.

And you folks pretend you know something about Ockham's razor.

Sheesh.

That's an impressive list of additional 'prophecies' regarding October and an earthquake.
I guess we'll get to find out this week if it's going to come true or if those people are
all going to be eating crow.

Personally speaking (I have no prophecy or predictions) I think Tokyo is next for an almighty whack.

I lived outside of Tokyo for three years (1983-1986).
The entire time I was there, there were predictions about Mt. Fuji blowing.
It never happened.
SOMEDAY it will. But that won't make those who predict the date into any kind of prophet.
It just means they got lucky and guessed correctly.

Maybe I'm more patiently and forgivingly philosophical than many . . . even than many Christians.

I know I'm not perfect. I don't hear people perfectly. I don't hear the still small voice of Holy Spirit perfectly unless He is emphatically loud and clear for some reason.

I know the naysayers have been throughout history . . . and they typically reign supreme . . .

until . . .

. . . until . . .

the moment God shuts the door of the Ark and the rains begin to fall for the first time in history . . .

. . . until . . .

Resurrection morning dawns and the tomb is empty with an angelic guard thereat.

. . . until . . .

9/11 struck with emphatic punctuation and many deaths and inexplicable deceptions from the powers that be.

. . . until . . .

the proofs became too abundant that Pearl Harbor was staged by the powers that be, including the complicit traitors in the White House.

. . . until . . .

the proofs became too abundant that Oswald did NOT act alone.

. . . until . . .

the UFO critters and craft begin descending en masse over cities around the world

. . . until . . .

the global government steps tyrannically and overtly onto the world stage demanding allegiance from all on the planet under pain of execution . . . including worship of satan and the personal "ON-STAR chip implant/locator/monitoring chip

. . . until . . .

famine begins to hit home personally

. . . until . . .

one's own house is literally falling down around one's ears.

. . . until . . .

one's own house is swept away in a big tsunami or flood . . . talk to Coloradans who probably thought they were quite immune from traumatic END TIMES type "Biblical calamities."

Some folks learn some from history . . . most . . . not much at all . . . if anything.

I don't think your assertion is entirely logical.

It may not mean that XYZ specific prophetic source guessed correctly.

Perhaps for some.

Some MAY WELL HAVE HAD advance info from Almighty God . . . who definitely knows.

Time will tell.

I teach English to a bunch of highly strung high school girls and they come to me nearly daily with nonsense predictions that have been posted on Japanese forums like 2-chan. I keep telling them there's nothing to fear ... But I've got a 15 month old daughter, a wife and four cats to consider. I have been considering moving as I don't particularly like Tokyo anyway. It stinks of pee. Haha.

To me . . .

it boggles my mind to even think of making an assertion

"nothing to fear" in terms of events, actions of government or natural forces . . .

I'm NOT ANYWHERE REMOTELY NEAR THAT

omniscient.

I can assert . . . FEAR NOT in the arms of God . . . HE IS ABLE . . . and willing and dedicated to taking care of HIS OWN . . . whether through martyrdom or supernaturally through the Red Sea of impossibilities.

But then, that presumes I'm listening constantly TO HIM and doing what I can to OBEY HIM more or less immediately.

I really hope not. My friends wedding is that weekend, couldnt imagine more of a bummer than to have a massive earth quake and float off and sink into the pacific.

You know, lousy things do sometimes happen on wedding days. About ten years ago I was belly dancing at a local restaurant, and a middle eastern family was supposed to have had a big, private event for a wedding, but something happened to part of the extended family (I think a car crash) and they died the night of the wedding, so the private event was cancelled. Instead, the smaller, immediate family came a week or two later and just enjoyed the dinner and dancing at the public restaurant. The word got around quickly, among the dancers, as to what had happened, and I remember feeling very wierd - it seemed kind of inappropriate to me, at the time. Anyway, the lesson I took away from that was that really bad stuff can happen any time. Sad, I know...

Impressive.....an earthquake on the west coast.

1. I can understand the idiots that worship this god
2. I can understand the idiots that deny this god exists

Why would god tell people about the earthquake and let the cat out of the bag. Obviously he wants to kill a lot of people otherwise he would just prevent the earthquake from happening, since he is all powerful.
since he wants to kill a bunch of people why would he tell anyone about it and risk that once the news got out that people would leave the west coast and his plan of mass murder would be foiled?

I`m going to go out on limb here and predict that there will be no 9.7 killer earthquake near california on thursday morning october 3rd.

Sooooooo . . .

WHEN you have tried repeatedly to get your child to avoid touching the hot cook-surface . . . and finally you conclude probably quite wisely . . . that they must have an EXPERIENCE of the burning sensation to learn from

we can conclude that you WANT your child's flesh to singe, burn, hurt lots etc?

or

IF you'd set up the system such that it afforded a serious robust degree of FREE WILL

including the CHOICE TO CHOOSE NON-LOVE

AND THE CONSEQUENCERS THAT ACCRUE FROM CHOOSING NON-LOVE

THAT DOING SO--SETTING THINGS UP THAT WAY

AUTOMATICALLY MEANT

that YOU WANTED folks to suffer horribly

vs 'merely' supporting the option of choosing love

even though that meant that it was required that there also be an option to choose NON-LOVE

as long as the NON-LOVE CHOICES HAD THE AUTOMATICALLY REQUIRED AUTHENTIC NON-LOVE CONSEQUENCES.

BTW, where did you purchase your SUPREMELY OMNISCIENT & LOFTY PERCH from

from which to judge God?
