I didn't say that Jesus would never come back. It looks like you read my response quite hastily.

The world will be given signs, miracles, we will witness God's Truth during this middle coming, only pride will keep people from believing.

Matthew 12:39
But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So the prophecy wasn't fulfilled through John of Patmos' vision.

Whoever wrote Revelation claimed to be speaking for Jesus saying the time is near, just like Jesus warned about.

It must be convenient to be able to just shrug off all the clues pointing toward what Jesus warned about in Revelation.

Some guy writes in the name of Jesus saying the time is near, just like Jesus warned, Revelation is full of pagan symbolism and Jesus considered pagans to be hypocrites and liars. You'd think you would get the message, but conditioning wins over in the end.

Oh, and even if Jesus did say some would not die before seeing him coming in his kingdom, how does that have anything to do with John's vision of the second coming? As Jesus said, Earth is not part of his kingdom, so John's vision can't have anything to do with what Jesus said because he was supposedly prophecising about a second coming on Earth.

It is so silly ww, when those who reject the faith try to use God's revelation to try prove it wrong. Very immature, don't you think? Illogical too.

Jesus is saying have faith, how it pleases God. The "signs", "miracles" from God are for disbelievers and for the faithful to strengthen their faith. God has shown many a sign and miracle in the last 2000 years. Most of them have been Roman Catholic related. Figure out why.

The "miracle of the sun" in 1917 at Fatima, a sign from God was witnessed and testified to by thousands, some of them unbelievers.

Disproving the bible with the bible is no more illogical than the opposite. If the bible can lrove itself right then so can the Quran or any other religious book. Whether you believe that or not depends on what religion you belong to.

I think the bible proves itself wrong on its own just fine. There are lots of contradictions in it, though the faithful refuse to see them.

Where do you get the 7 years from? If it is from Daniels 70 weeks there is only 1/2 week left 3.5 years. I challenge you to find a 7 year time period in Revelations.

What's silly is, a group of people (the Catholic Church) who claim to have written/compiled the Bible, don't even take the thing seriously! Your church contradicts the very teachings of Jesus that IT put in place in it's Bible in the first place.

He merely said at that time talking to Pilate that His kingdom was in heaven. The point of the 2nd coming is to bring His kingdom to set up on Earth. See Daniel's explanation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream where the rock becomes a mountain and takes up all the other kingdoms of Earth.

Listen, for salvation is for the Jews and Gentiles, the 144,000 are the Jews who truly serve him, the rest of the people left still will have a chance to be saved, but just won't be with the 144,000 which will be saved from the wrath of God.

..i ve read the OP, and i assumed you were either Judahite or Jew 2WA
[ which is a difference between day and night]

..because of your signature [ if you write David you must be jew or judahite]
and because of the way you put things
- on page 1 you said Right things about the synagogue
....but here you go wrong
There will *not* be "144.000 jews"

that is the same nonsense as 144000 kitchensinks
"jews" and " God" do not Fit into the same sentence.

what is going on,
is that there are the 2 witnesses : israel [ the northern dispersed tribes]
and judah/jacob [ the sothern 2 dispersed tribes]

isaiah says about these 2: " YOU are My witnesses, declares the Lord" .

...israel - the 10 dispersed tribes - and judah - the 2 dispersed tribes.
Yes - dispersed : untill this very day.

- the present "little country", NOR the peoples "calling themselves jews", have ANYthing to do with God.
[ though théy think so ; or dont ; or who-cares what they think or dont think ]

144000 souls

perhaps someone who reads this now

carrying a Vital Attribute

to establish the Legal Kingdom - at rapture.

That is what rapture is about : establishing His Legal Rule. [ according to spiritual law]

- that is why the Trib will start.
because Evils rule will implode - upon earth.

144000 hidden ones

....that is what is going on right now.

worse:
also Evil has his 144000 lightworkers
...make no mistake.

regards,

and now i tell you a secret
there is - there are - some , who are reading ats - members or readers -
who are Certainly belonging to the 144000

i ve felt
and because of the context

But you wont get them out into the open 2WA
because they re under the most severe oppression
financial
marital
social
spiritual
...ánything It can find to throw at them

so
make sure, you keep your ówn Stance
that will be the most Help, you are able to give.

...kind regards,

Hmm, Where have I heard that before? Oh Yeah!

Matthew 16
27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. 28 “Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.”

You can deny history, Scripture didn't fall complete from Heaven. Someone had to decide which writings
were divinely inspired. He did, by his God given authority, Pope Damasus decided the Canon in 382 A.D.

The Church who gave the world the Bible is Christ's authority here on earth. She professes the teaching of Christ.

God wouldn't leave us not knowing windword. I'll say it until the Great Warning, God wants you to become
Roman Catholic. Everyone in Heaven is Roman Catholic even if they died believing something else.

God bless you,

I earlier posted that what Jesus said was that his kingdom was from heaven.
So there is no reason to have a "second coming" since Jesus' kingdom already fulfilled the interpretation of Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
In the time of Nebuchadnezzar, the fulfillment was in the future. In Jesus' time it was in the present tense, where he claimed to be the Son of Man in Daniel, who was ushering in the kingdom.
The kingdom outlasted the other empires and has spread out throughout the world.
Your interpretation denies the kingship of Jesus and the current kingdom of God, the church, reducing all of that into insignificance and holding out for a revival of an Old Testament style kingdom, while relegating all the Christians to being removed from the earth to make way.

I'm not the person who chose to be rude instead of clarifying a question. That was you. And my point has been challenged, but the argument still has not been broken. John did see Christ coming with His kingdom, it happened via vision while on Patmos. Jesus did not say "My kingdom will come before some of you taste death."
