For some reason even I don't know your post made my day. I hope you have great night.

Thank you, you too.

I'm going to the pub for fine, upstanding London beer. And then I'm going to Brick Lane to eat a load of delicious muslim curry.

Thanks for your answer. It was rhetorical by the way.

I know what freedom is because I am losing it everyday. I am not from the UK but the problem there is spreading and has been for years. It is easier to immigrate to the UK than the US unless you have a student visa. Then you can fly planes into buildings and blow up children in crowds.

The MSM in America did not cover the bomb plot and in the UK it was censored. Anything that could paint Islam in a bad light is censored or pushed to page 4. You cannot see it because you are on the side that wants to bring change and not integration. Islam CANNOT and never had been able to assimilate into another culture. Instead, it immigrates, breeds and builds mosques. Plain and simple.

Free voting? We do not even have that in America so if you think the right to voite means freedom then you are farther from the truth than you know.

Enjoy your curry

I think the EDL have become alot more peaceful recently, the majority of videos I've watched on YouTube involving tensions haven't been always instigated by the EDL. I've seen just as many, if not more, videos from the UAF showing them provoking or trying to get at the 'protesters'!

Two groups cut from the same cloth in my eyes. Both on their day can make some salient points, but can also make some very pathetic accusations and actions to match.

No. Serious efforts at addressing the problem will. Getting drunk and shouting and brawling in the street will not.

I would bet that junior disco is a pakistani muslim, the clue is in the name.

Is it? Where?

Like i say if you criticise the e.d.l then you invite more child victims of inhuman grooming gangs.

Absolute nonsense. The EDL are doing nothing to eradicate this problem, nor are they even publicising it effectively or realistically. And even though it's a vile crime, the numbers involved are minuscule, and replicated in other ethnic groups.

The logical equivalent of your stance - that criticising the EDL is an implicit endorsement of child sex rings - is like saying that if you weren't in favour of Timothy McVeigh blowing up stuff then you must be okay with wasteful government expenditure.

The issue is cut and dry. How many child rapes are acceptable?how many more should we tolerate?

None, obviously. But what's your solution? More getting drunk and fighting?

A rhetorical answer? That's a new one.

Are you incapable of addressing what I wrote? It would seem so, but why? The logical conclusion is that you have no answers.

Notice how I engage with what you write, specifically? You should try it some time.

The MSM in America did not cover the bomb plot and in the UK it was censored.

I can't speak for America - although the US has never been that good on foreign news. But I'd like to see one iota of evidence that the story was "censored" in the UK. Or is that the "rhetorical" use of the word censored?

I saw it in the Express, the Mail, the Times, and the BBC, prominently featured. Hardly an effective campaign if burying it was the goal.

Anything that could paint Islam in a bad light is censored or pushed to page 4.

All the way back to page four!!! Oh Orwell, where are you when we need you?

And that's rubbish anyway. There have been stories about muslim extremists on the front page of British newspapers and splashed on websites for years. The Sun led with this two days ago:

www.thesun.co.uk...

Here's another front page:

And another:

img.thesun.co.uk...

And another:

And another:

There are loads more. Loads. So I really think at this point you should just admit that you're making stuff up.

You cannot see it because you are on the side that wants to bring change and not integration.

I can't see it because you're making it up.

Islam CANNOT and never had been able to assimilate into another culture. Instead, it immigrates, breeds and builds mosques. Plain and simple.

Immigrating - yes. Having kids, yup. Building mosques, yes.

Not sure which of those you want to make illegal, but if you're in favour of no immigration, forced sterilisation and forcible prevention of religious observance then I'm not sure you are quite the guy to be lecturing others on freedom.

Free voting? We do not even have that in America so if you think the right to voite means freedom then you are farther from the truth than you know.

For the second time, I didn't say it meant freedom. I said it meant that your statement about "no freedom at all, none" in muslim countries was baseless cant.

10000 victims are not a miniscule number now is it. My solution would to warn all young white girls of the menace of these gangs. Not put adverts on t.v of white boys raping white girls upstairs at a party. Im sure white girls may get raped at a party however i doubt they will get passed around to hundreds of men.
And as for the your name? Work it out. youtu.be... i suppose the uk should tolerate this as well? Listen to the EDL before its too late

How can anybody state if you criticise and extremist group like the EDL you support peadophilia?

It's just rediculous, people can stand against peadophilia without having to join a racist organisation.

Wrong, I am asking for Muslims to stand up more. They are for the most part silent to radcialization like a black sheep of the family. Saying it happens, we saw it coming but did not do anything. If more imams stood up to the radicals there would be a difference. In almost every instance of radicalization and crime you here the same thing..

"He/She came to the mosque and then after they said some bad things, they were asked to leave and we are not sure what happened to them" They know what happened, they started hanging out with the others mot allowed in that mosque. Islam is also very close knit so do not play the ignorance role.

do you genuinely think the EDL's tactics are a peaceful upsurge of popular dissent, expressed with restraint?

Yes. There are multiple groups under one EDL brand that include women, gays and children. I would like to see the Muslim Front for Homosexuality as a group. They would be strung up by light posts before noon. Jsut as you want others to not group all of Islam you should do the same with the EDL. Look at the message not always the messenger

- do you still claim that the story of the failed islamist bombers who were jailed was not covered by news sources?

When i say not covered, I mean there is no malice against what caused it. You know damn well what I mean. During the whole thing it is be nice to Muslims, no reprisals not Islam stating they are sorry.

- can you describe one single way in which I, as a Londoner apparently surrounded by militant Islam, have had to conform to Islamic social codes, or even had to be affected by them in any way?

Again, the imams condemn but do nothing to stop it..why not? How about some Anti Muslim patrols???

.

these guys...be careful after you have that beer with your curry.

- you say (incorrectly) that nothing has been done in the wake of Rigby's murder. What would you have done?

I would not have said to confront Extremism like Cameron did, I would enforce it. They know the names like they knew these guys.

I view any orgnisation with racist ideals to be extreme.

I dont see how not supporting a group like this makes me brainwashed?

I am english and they are not defending my ways, and i feel the majority on English people do not feel this group represent them in anyway whatsoever.
Nothing wrong with them being white or liking a drink, however racist chanting is off.

Who else is speaking up for the victims? A handful of people thats all. These children are cross examined by each lawyer in these cases-20 rapists 20 lawyers. These children are murdered if they speak out. Its ingrained behaviour and nothing will stop it. So we must warn our children, this is the biggest threat our children face in the uk. You dont have to be a member of the EDL to speak out about these crimes. Thats why i support the EDL .

The way child abuse cases are tried, does need to be looked at.
No arguments there. There are already moves underway to do this.

The EDL is this....

"a group which opposes the spread of Islam, Sharia law and Islamic extremism in the UK"

What is racist about that?

Just to clear up the lies n the OP

1) The EDL started off as football hooligan firm backed by wealthy bankers - it's not a grassroots movement or indicative of the general pubic (most think they're violent drunken thugs) - Now why would a banker behind the financial crisis, mass unemployment want to create a war between the nutters on both sides - plenty of reasons but detracting from the real reason we're in this mess is.

2) Paedople gangs are sadly present in the UK, with a weak bias towards Muslim perpatroators - also worth noting several members of the EDL (including leaders) have been caught child grooming and never expelled - which

2) By his own admission Tommy/Lennon has never read the Koran yet repeatedly lies about it's content - compare the original translation to the current bastardised versions which is just as bad in my eyes.

3) The Muslim terror plot was never hidden, it was front page news and top story on most outlets - the terrorists were aiming to create a tit-for-tat war with the EDL and sadly the EDL are playing into their hands.

4) Roughly 40 EDL members have tried to blow up mosques, set fire to them and promise many more attacks - is this really better than the nutters who beheaded Rigby. Around 20 times more English-Irish far right people are found guilty of terror plots than Muslims in the UK so why not attack both equally?

4) Do you honestly believe sections of the EDL getting drunk and beating up innocent 'foreign looking' people is going to cause an end to extremism.

5) Many members are completely ignorant to UK history - The country has been in a constant state of flux since it's inception, it's essential to avoid turning into a collapsed nation of inbreds.

6) Care to explain how you can support the EDL and IRA (designated terrorist organisation who target civilians) ? The EDL have been at war with the IRA for decades under various guises and it's the basis of the NFSE slogan.

7)As for the EDL being racist look no further than their facebook pages - they're full of racist slurs and statements like 'send the the black #s home' and people praying there would have been more kids in the community centres they bombed.

8) The EDL are completely lying through their teeht about Sharia - Cviil courts exist but they're bound by the rules of the country and it can't be used in criminal cases - as already happens with all religions in the UK.

If you can come up with valid arguments against these points then fair does, but currently I'm left with the impression you don't know much about them. - This is an attempt to educate, not to humiliate so appologies if it comes across at that way - I know how hard and misleading it is to try and get an accurate picture of a situation when you're the other side of the pond.

This is a great site for releaving the true face of the EDL@ twitter.com...

How about you spend that much time showing the true Islam instead of trying to knock down a large and diverse group of people who want to keep England the way it is? You won't because you think tolerance will save you from Islam. Try again.

1. You 'think' and are spewing the same propaganda BS as the UAF and Muslims. Has the EDL beheaded anyone or walked around shouting death to british soldiers. it is a threat to your own country.

2. Who in the EDL is convicted of Child rape as Islam has shown in England?

3. Keep going back to that. Front page news to say it was just a few rotten apples...love the rest of Islam. You know this true

4. Convicted? Name these people...

5. Drunks beating people up...I blame alcohol not the EDL

6. Stay the F%$# out of Ireland and there are no problems, are there? The Irish had the balls to stand up to oppression. You should now be aware of what is happening....

7. Does Islam have a chapter to counter these guys?

www.facebook.com..." target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow">Link

8. Sharia law needs to stay where it is. There are multiple instances where it is trying to be implemented in England, and in the US.

9. I live on the other side of the pond and have relatives in Ireland as well as Scotland. They do not want to see happen in their countries what England has allowed to happen.

Bottom line is someone was beheaded on a city street and still the government is asking to be tolerant. No way. Good thing we have guns in America. YOu might want to think about getting some.

So after all this you don't even live here?
ok.
Not your fight mate, trust us we know when we need to do something and that time is not now because they are not a threat to the UK way of life.
Just because a few nutjobs are about doesn't mean that all Muslims are nutjobs.
I live in West Yorkshire and it has a very big Muslim community and I get along fine with them, I have been to a mosque in Bradford and talked to the Iman and he was a sound bloke. Christians give me more crap than Muslims, they are the ones telling me I will burn in Hell.
Trust me I hate all Religion and If it was up to me I would just get rid of it all but the EDL....pffft footie fans with a chip on their shoulder nothing more.

Sounds to me with that Irish statement that you are the one supporting terrorism....
Oh and don't start with the gun crap If we want one we can get one...legally.

Don't know if you realise it but with that statement you not only damage your own credibility but also distance yourself from many who may otherwise sympathise with some of the opinions you have expressed.

You allege to oppose terrorism yet display sympathy for the I.R.A. and other murdering, scumbag terrorists.
Sorry but that is just hypocrisy, plain and simple.

And it's ironic that you say you support EDL and their stance yet EDL are fiercely anti-I.R.A. - 'No Surrender' can be heard at nearly every one of their marches and rallies.

One other thing;
I understand that the story about the Muslims who planned to bomb an EDL rally in Dewsbury may not have been reported much in the USA, but I've got to be honest and say it was given quite prominent exposure here in the UK with all major TV and MSM outlets reporting it.
There are certain legal criteria which have to be maintained to ensure a non-prejudicial hearing.

To be fair there are many instances that go unreported or are tucked away in some corner - this wasn't one of those.

Good thing we have guns in America. YOu might want to think about getting some.

Why is it that in nearly every single thread about UK or European issues one or more Americans who are taking part in it always seem to resort to this nonsensical sort of statement.
The UK isn't the US - what's right for you isn't necessarily right for the UK - there are plenty of threads here on ATS about The Second Amendment, it has absolutely zero relevance whatsoever to this thread.

You say EDL 'want to keep England the way it is' - which is true to a point - but that includes our gun control laws, something the vast majority of British people, including EDL, support.

Just a polite point, in this thread we have people of both sides saying not to lump everyone together - can I ask you do the same? Labelling the EDL as "footie fans with a chip on their shoulder" implies that all footie fans are prone to outbursts of violence, which is obviously absurd.

As for the EDL - yes they are a bunch of knuckle dragger's, but they do at their core have a valid message which many in the UK can at least sympathise with, because up until recently, the mainstream political apparatus has just ignored the issue - or in the case of 12 years of Labour actually attempted to socially engineer the UK into some left-wing wet dream Benetton Advert.

People have mentioned the Nazi's quite a bit in this thread - It is interesting, because the Nazi's came into power because the mainstream establishment at the time failed to address the concerns of regular people, who in turn turn to more radical outlets who will address those concerns. By continuing to ignore the problems the EDL are at the forefront of opposing, you will only end up driving more and more people into their arms, making the problem much worse than had you bit the bullet early and dealt with it.

Now, the actual OP of this thread also has a point. The EDL are often painted in the media as the troublemakers while any UAF counter demonstration is painted as perfectly normal. Often, this is not the case. The UAF often team up with gangs of young, radical Muslim men and, ironically considering the name of the group, engage in violent and abusive tactics against people they disagree with. In the early days of the EDL, the UAF were the group who instigated the violence and often, were the ones who had their members arrested.

There was a case in Birmingham I think where an EDL march was opposed by the UAF and they, without provocation, attacked the EDL with bricks and steel bars torn from a nearby construction site. The EDL retreated to a pub under Police orders while the UAF and their Muslim Youth battled with the Police for a long time outside.

United Against Fascism? More like proponents of it....

Now, on to terrorism and Islam. The fact is that the UK security services stop dozens of attacks each year, most of whom are planned by so called "British Muslims", which then begs the question just how deep is the level of extremism in the Muslim community. Since 2001, 312 people have been convicted of planning attacks on UK soil - that is 26 people a year! Add onto that their circle of friends and family who would likely support such action and that gives a haunting picture of there being a sizeable minority in the UK who would willingly murder their fellow citizens based on religion.

There is a problem and the longer it is ignored by the mainstream, the more likely people will turn to the fringes for answers....................
