This just popped up on the BBC news feed:

BBC Monitoring reports that a man named Anzor, who said he was Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's father, told Russia's Interfax news agency his children were framed. "The special services framed my children because they are believing Muslims," he was quoted as saying. "Why did they kill Tamerlan? They should have taken him alive. The younger one is now on the run; he was studying in his second year at a medical institute in the US. We were expecting him home in the holidays. Now I don't know what will happen."

Problem is he was telling the cop on the scene that if the cops came any closer he would blow himself up.

Why in case of a attack should all the countrys resources be avalible to be deployed and used to sort the mess out as quick and safely as possible rather than leave it to the local police who obvioulsy are out of there depth?

My first response would be why not.

But this has not been done yet for a terrorist attack, and the first time it is there will be a out cry.

Besides I have confidence in the police and FBI. It might sound easy to someone in front of their computer to find a guy. But it's not this is a city of what over 400,000 ?

I think that he is just a mentally disturbed old man looking for attention.

There are no real journalists anymore. Gone are the days when the lady from the Miami Herald would arrive at the hold-up before the police and would be in the bank interviewing the robber when they arrived.
