Most people are not "anti conservative"in the sense of being "anti" right wing- I would love this country to have referendum style democracy of the likes of Switzerland- might see hanging brought back, removal from the EU, proper border controls etc

Slightly off topic...but it really bugs me when people talk about the labour government

being 'for the people'. The first Gordon Brown budget awarded the 'pensioners' the grand

sum of a 50p increase. For which there was an out cry, and the fact that it would cost

more to administer than it was worth Later that year in a mini budget and with his smug

grin he made much of giving the pensioners a 'heating allowance' of £200 a year.


Now every time it is mentioned it is as something BIG and EXTRA a Gift??

when in fact it only represents for that year of an increase of less than £2. 50 for that

year.

I don't recon that kind of policy was any better than many of the policies under the Thatcher

government!!

Thanks for posting those videos showing her other buddies.
People are so distracted by discussing the economy and how THEY were affected, they aren't able to see the forest for the trees. There are many, many victims who suffered from things other than the economy.
Maybe once everyone's done celebrating and they sober up, they'll be willing to face how twisted this woman was and her accomplices are still participating in some truly sick stuff.
All anyone has to do is a bit of research into how close she and Jimmy SoVILE were, then ask themselves how Thatcher could NOT known about what he was actually doing. There's no way she didn't. Mighty convenient for her to be dead now before people actually started caring about what's going on. Go ahead and stay asleep, folks. It's so much easier to try people in the justice system after they're dead and can't face the music. I guess it's easier on everyone this way.

I agree with you Silo - she was an amazing woman. She was one of a kind, and no woman has really followed in her footsteps.

I believe those who wish to celebrate her death are acting in a vile and disrespectful manner. It just shows what sort of people we have in Britain these days. Hard hearted and disrespectful - it is shameful.

Thank you Margaret Thatcher for being an amazing figure in our country and may she rest in well deserved peace. I offer peace and condolences to her family, friends and colleagues. Her death marks the passing of an era.

She was a great woman.

I too live in the North East and don't see the destruction you are talking about

As mentioned on other posts if a business cannot continue running at a loss, how is it

possible for a 'country to do so' Unless like the last labour government they put it

all on the credit card.
