So instead of talking about "kids belong to the collective" someone wants to talk about that "conservative view" but who was it that marched children on stage and passed "gun control" in their names?

Children should not be mowed down in a place of learning - a place where they should be safe. With weapons people may have the right to - but don't actually need...

That would be Obama that did that - and, yessir - hats off to him. You want to turn this into a game of ideologies and words?

We protect our children - we civilized folk

If you want to come into this thread to promote your favorite agenda - then I've got nothing left to say to you

This thread is not about guns

Or, in a round about way - is it?

Is it about the needs of the many or the few then?

Education be damned - there's a war been declared on anything even remotely smacking of left - let's cut the crap and call it what it is then neo

shall we?

:-)

It's a dog eat dog world...the advantage of a socialist collective is that the big dogs can reach into the collective like reaching into a bag of M & Ms to snack on some munchies.

I don't get this mixing the word 'progressive' with the word 'socialist.' It should be degressive that fits better with socialists.......

I don't own my child, but I'm sure as hell responsible for his education, NOT indoctrination.

I belong where I choose to belong.

It's been my experience that children actually own the parents....

Can you fault children for sometimes being smarter than their parents?

I have all the respect in the world for children who say they are not satisfied with the socialist collective and they want to do better with their lives.

well....it is your mind that is beautiful. I always perk up when I see you posting.

And that image. I like it. Bright and vivid. It is art in a style that I employ: bold colors and high contrast.

What do you think a community is? A City? A County? A State? a COUNTRY!? These are all collectives. Nothing new. Stop making a big deal out of absolutely nothing.

By your definition...a ghetto is a collective.....just saying.....a third world village is a collective....just saying....a prison yard is a collective....just saying.....

Then you admit you're economically conservative and socially liberal?

Because left on that chart means more government control of economy. Libertarian means more social freedoms; homosexuals marrying, abortions, etc.

Right on that chart actually means economically liberal; more free market.

Authoritarian just means government control of social freedoms. So homosexuals can't marry and woman can't just get an abortion; these're just possible examples.

Notice on this page nobody is on the bottom-right in the example profiles:
www.politicalcompass.org - Analysis...

Someone who is a strong economic and social liberal would be on the bottom-right.

Why doesn't the Host prove it, by giving up all her kids, house, bank account$, car, and everything she owns for the collective to use.

I can go so far and say also that if she's married, that doesn't mean anything. She doesn't belong to her husband and she be collectively available to all suitors who are single and need of sexual relations.

There is no rules and all of this creates creates gray areas if you want to belong to the collective.

America is a country built on Personal Freedoms and Individual rights. It was never supposed to be a Socialist Collective or Corporate Fascism like its now turning into right before out eyes.

I'm going to call her up and tell her she needs to let me use her car, bank account, food, and house for a few months since everything she owns are belong to the collective

Hey, the collective socialists are being left behind....again...

(NYSE: C ) stoked a major debate when it argued earlier this year that America would become energy independent by 2020. Now the bank is out with another bold new call. In a research paper titled "Global Oil Demand Growth -- The End Is Nigh," Citigroup argues that global oil demand is "approaching a tipping point."

Children should not be mowed down in a place of learning

No one ever said they should be

That would be Obama that did that - and, yessir - hats off to him. You want to turn this into a game of ideologies and words?

Nah that was done here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

We protect our children - we civilized folk

How so?

Hiding behind the state, and making laws does not "protect" children in fact that is outsourcing a parents responsibilty.

Also how is it "civilized" to punish people who have done nothing wrong?

This thread is not about guns

True it is about children belonging to the "collective" and they are used as political props however that was still relevant to the conversation.

there's a war been declared on anything even remotely smacking of left

And the point is?

What only the right can be criticized?

The ones always complaining about the Bilderbergs are the socialists on welfare.

It's not rocket science to tell the difference.

They tried that giving everyone a house for practically nothing with the subprime debacle....and look what happened?

So many homeless....so many foreclosures....so many Occupiers living in the park in New York City...

Say. Whatever happened to the collective once known as the Occupy Movement?

Interesting test - I scored -5.4, -5.5 an I wonder what that means!

As for as the OP goes - I thought we all became "property of the state" when our birth certificates became collateralized against the national debt or at least when we received Social Security numbers.

Good advice only hurts those who don't know what to do with good advice.

Here's a hint: Winners really don't have a lot of sympathy for losers. Regardless of what the liberal media tries to convince you into believing.

Not true. Winners have sympathy, but only when the losers aren't complaining. When the losers complain, they're suggesting that the winner is illegitimate and not praise worthy.

Winners can have the most sympathy of everyone for a loser they respect. Why? Because winners have lost. They know how hard it's. They also know they've had some good fortune.

Yes. All of those are correct. When you're in High School you assimilate the micro culture. You move on to University and there is new micro culture, You get a job you have to learn how to socialize and live in that environment.

See if you knew anything about socialism you would know its about the workers owning the means of production and the state acting as proxy for them. There are mixed economies(canada and western europe) and there are public economies(ex-USSR).

Where the hell do you see the workers owning the means of production in america? Liberalism is about a welfare system attached to capitalism. I have grown sick and tired of explaining it to people who refuse to listen and enjoy hyperbole.

And so many socialists of the collective high school never get a good college education, never get a good job...and end up living under a bridge with others of their collective.

Just saying...it's a fact of collective life.....

And a perfect example of the collective.....If you have a workable idea, don't come into our collective to muck up a well worn rut we of the collective have dug out for ourselves.

What was that collective called the Borg.....RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!
