The Ending of GOT.

Is democracy.

Tyiron made such a point. When he was talking to Dans about her legacy.

Between the War of the Five Kings. Cersei. War for the North.

Much of the nobles of Westeroes are gone.

And if the end does come at Winterfell like we've seen in the trailers.

Everyone does die. Which makes me sad after all the time I've invested in this show.

I guess there will be a little drama between Jon and Dany, but it will be over ridden trying to defeat the Night King.

And I think what Davos said at Castle Black is how it ends, 'Keep failing', and they do.

Like Jon Snow.

I know nothing.

It also makes watching the series again in the future kinda pointless.
Will be a shame if the best they can muster is some shock TV - kind of overplaying it.
Last season seemed a bit rushed - I suspect this one will be the same.
Have to say - I watched the first 7 seasons again in prep for the 8th and they have been getting worse. It's really noticeable when all watched together. You can see the divergence from the good writing in the books at the start to the more shallow (and obvious) hollywood style entertainment later on.

I agree with that.

Much of the series was about the boy who should be king, and ends with never will be king.

Excuse me while I go bash my head in to a wall.

I wonder if what we will see is how GRRM would have written it.. or whether he succumbed to the cash?
I strongly suspect the delays to his books was because he gave up trying to control the TV producers and let them take over the story.

This thread is just fine - thanks.
Only 10 days to wait to see how it plays out - or at least starts to play out.

Who knows.

In the original pitch Jon, Daenerys, Tyrion, Arya and Bran are the five main folks who make it to the end of the story. Notice anyone missing?

www.digitalspy.com...

I am going to stop wasting my time even trying to think about it.

A lot!
Sansa, Cersei and Jaine for starters.
I am looking forward to seeing the show but I am also dreading the very real possibility they ruin not just season 8, but the entire story.

Bran wargs Clegane and traps Cersei down to table like they did the high sparrows snip.

I'd like to see that ending.

They didn't specify which little brother.

The consolation is the took they directors of the best received episodes and let them do 6 of the 7 for this season.

Perhaps Bran will warg the Night King and kill him....

The show runners got the ending for the books and major characters before they even went into production, it will be the same.

There's popular consensus that Bran is the night king, and the reason for everything.

IDK if Bran is a hero or a villain.

He's become quite a little sociopath since he became the three eyed raven.

That would be interesting - kill Bran then.

Maybe they should rename the series to something else like Game of Bones or The Walking Dead part deux.

There is something significant about the Dagger.

LittleFinger to Brandon to Arya.

There was even a picture of it in the book Gilly was reading.

A way to kill the night king?
