I don't live in Hawaii but if he can hit Hawaii, he can hit Missouri. I ran the numbers out of curiosity. Honolulu is just over 4,800 miles or 7,300 kilometers from Pyongyang. Guam just over 2,100 miles or 3,400 kilometers.

Wrabbit, Just curious about something my friend. Did you find out the distance from PyongYang to Missouri? If you did, what is it?

It would seem to me that it would be logical to assume that the U.S Hawaiian Islands are much closer to North Korea than Middle America? Course, The vastness of the Pacific I do realize can sometimes be deceptive, it's huge and so much bigger than folks understand. Your thoughts or findings? ~$heopleNation

All kidding aside, I think governments are looking to create a war. Before WWII there was poverty and financial despair. After WWII, everything was destroyed and it got the economy going again.

With the state the economy is in, I wouldn't be surprised that they are looking to trigger some war behind the scenes or maybe I'm just being paranoid.

After WW3 there won't be any rebuilding... not by humanoids anyway.
And whatever economist is koolaidized enough to think there's an
economy in glowing dirt needs to U2U me. Besides, for the most part
we're done for anyway with just backgound radiation frmo what's already
happened. It just seems the devil worshippers want to put the cherry on top.

After a lifetime (55 years and counting) of confrontational, self-justification wherever I sometimes reacted prematurely or overly aggressive on perceived threats, I have spent a great deal of time recently learning to turn the other cheek. Pick and choose my battles more wisely, and have the patience to make better decisions. Having been one of the worst offenders of shoot first ask questions later, I had far more to learn than probably anyone I have ever known. I have developed a strong distaste for any attitude that embellishes a rigid, chin in the air defiant righteous arrogance.

Screw it. This man has threatened my family and all those I love and he claims to have the tools to do it. He may as well have used the words "please remove me from existence", and this time I won't even have to be the one who does it.

Not turning the other cheek this time.

I get it because this fat litttle Despot has along with his father an grandfather brain washed a nation.
Starved a Nation an commited genocide resulting in millions of infants deaths an maluntrition driven deaths.
The people of his country are liveing in one giant prison camp.
Where anything but complete idolasation of dear leader gets you either a death in a labour camp.
Or a bullet in the head.

So because of this hate you feel towards this odious little man backed by his war hungry elderly near death genrals.
Wich by the way is nothing compared to the hate the avarage N Korean feels against this man/
If you genuinely think they all beleive this dear leader crap then you are nieve.

Besides all that the untold suffering visited up on this population.
We should just go a head an nuke them.
To kill one man ?
Hardly a surgical strike is it .
Collaterall damage much?

8. NKSL-X-2 - Taep'o-dong-2

----------------------------------------------------------
Guam = 3,400 Kilometers.
Hawaii = 7,300 Kilometers
Los Angeles = 9,552 Kilometers
Kansas City, MO = 10,438 Kilometers

Federation of American Scientists
Centers for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation

The second link includes timelines for both development and testing of the above systems and outcome. Most failed in one way or another. #7 and #8 have the range for Guam. Only #7 could reach Hawaii and as noted, it's not believed Iran (Shahab-5 Variant) or North Korea have a functional version of it. #8 is designed for Satellite launch and is Iran's basis for the Shahab-6 design variant.

South Korea wouldn't even need our help. Maybe fleet and weapon delivery, but South Korea is more than capable of handling North Korea.

I would notify China, and pre-emptive strike the heck out of North Korea. If a nuclear EMP has to be launched, so be it.

Distance from Pyongyang to Springfield (MO) is 6632.1 Miles, and the distance from Pyongyang to Hawaii is 4597.2 miles. That is over a 2000 mile difference in regards to hitting the USA's middle America, Which is a very huge difference when it comes to an ICBM's top range.

So with that being said, Without Red China's help, the DPRK most likely can't even hit the Hawaiian Islands at this point in time. Maybe Guam, but maybe not even that. ~$heopleNation

America what are you getting yourself into? Don't ever underestimate anyone, NK has never invaded any country, im sure NK has something special for the u.s, you all laugh because the U.S flashes their fancy war planes and technology an saying NK is weak.. no country is ever weak, don't forget that America. This isn't the "poor" countries you're invading like Iraq or Iran..

Instead of saying things like "we'll blow them up we are that powerful so don't worry ppl!!" Should focus on peace.. This is one of the reasons why i dislike the Unites States.. huuuuge ego, all talk no action.

peace.. and good luck to whatever happens. I'm sure your president will aid your families if they are caught in the conflict of NK.............

Agreed there. If they are 100% alone and developing all by their own ability and resources? Well... They can't MISS Japan. Anything that flys can hit something THAT big. They can't miss South Korea. It's a few miles away. Guam? They have the range ... guidance? Well, I would not lose sleep if I were sitting there. Not really ...

Hawaii? like you said... They don't have SS-18's or SS-27's...and if they DO somehow have main line, latest generation ICBM's? Well, SOMEONE will have a hell of a lot of explaining to do when it's over ....and that WOULD bring an honest to goodness Minuteman type response I think.

^^^ We're talking CNN level hypothetical though, as we both agree.

Obviously the main threat is to South Korea and our 50,000 troops stationed there from the 10,000's rounds of artillery fire. NK can't realistically hit Hawaii or even Guam. Just hope that Obama is not at this moment drafting a letter to NK, apologizing for any perceived wrongdoing that this country has done to them. I don't want war, but if rockets start raining down on SK, not even shock and awe should be our response.

Amazing.

Everyone on here goes on about the MSM and how it cannot be trusted, but as soon as the MSM 'tells us' that the North Koreans are going 'battle-ready', everyone jumps on with remarks like "press the big red button", "kill kill kill" etc.

You've JUST played right into their hands! You are giving the VERY reaction they WANTED from YOU!

Congratulations.
