i do not know weither vampires are real, but the new twilight movie got me thinking what if they are? if any one has any proof of vampires would you please post in here. if any one thinks thay know a vampire please tell me....

Just saying, cuz u can't stop at one folklore, u have to hit them all.

I love to think about things beyond reality so don't take what I said as a joke. And I wonder, to those admitting they are real vampires, have you seen creatures that shouldn't really exist also?

Like I said before don't trust what others tell you... take bits and piececs from what they say and try and uncover more information about a certain someone or something. The only way you will find anything is by research and field work. I do believe that there are certain paranormal things out there but what is going to happen when they are uncovered?? I know the government will try and capture some for tests. They will find out what makes it tick because its something stronger than them and they can't stand that. If you find out something be careful about who you tell.

Don't take this the wrong way but i really don't give info like that on the net. but if he well is what i think, well all of them they can be anywhere in wales or all over the world when ever they want.

and i have been thinking about one big topic.
if they really do exist...

*If vampires are really as clever and intelligent as myth and legend make them out to be then obviously they're going to be clever enough to pull the wool over humans such as us and stay in the shadows*

Yes they exist, they are from all parts of the world.

No, they are NOTHING like what you see on movies, tv, and nine times outta ten....what people say is BS about them knowing one or seeing one.

This being my first post on ats, and how I am stating this, I don't beleive for one second that anyone will take me serious about this. But, vampires are very secretive. They only associate with select people/groups of people in their life that know and don't care or know and are associated with what they are.

They are so rare to come by though, you have better luck finding a living unicorn.

ok so the last part bout having better luck finding a unicorn....so ur saying that vampires are non-existent...then ppl will say if i believe in vampires why dont i believe in unicorns...but unicorns have existed its just a rare genetic gene that died out a long time ago.... second..everyone keeps sayin that vampires are secretive...if they are how do ppl know that???... you hav your people that pretend to be a vampire...you hav people that believe in the rituals...and you hav the people that claim to see vampires...todays world has gotten so corrupt and distorted that everything will soon become a lie. i am not trying to ragg o someone but just trying to get passed all the irrelevant bulls**t and get to the truth..but everyone keeps sayin the same thing...either its a poser that wants attention to feel special or its some joke that re-writes posts in his own words.

Question..how do you know that everything from the movies is fake???hav you met a vampire to test it all out?? In Underworld there was and actual person named Mathius Corvinus way back around the 1600...dont quote me on the year...He helped Vlad Tepes which was Vlad Dracul's son...but thats a weird timeline...point is he did exist. Now if ur talking about sunlight and crosses or holy water or even garlic...again how do you know...???

I dont know if ishould believe in vampires or not.. i kinda want to becuz i love vampires and the way they act and stuff... i;ve always wondered if vampires are real or not but guess the only way i will believe in them is if i ever see or meet one!

vampires have always intrigued me since i was a little kid as fuked up and false as this might sound i have always had dreams about vampires always the same type where the vampire not euoropean not aisan or american but african in my dreams the vampire is born a normal human like u or me in ancient egypt where he meets a important persons daughter like a high priest or something of that sort they fall in love obviously and because the boy is of no importance they are condemned to live seperate lives and oviously they dont like this so they kill the girls father also they end up killing a good few people to be together this in turn leads to them being cursed by the sun god never to see the light of day and u can probably guess the rest,,,,,,,, i swear on every thing i no this is true i may not have this dream every night but enough to have sum significence and for me to remember i never want to wake up after this dream its like it holds me in make what u will of this all i no is its a dream

I don't truly know if vampires exist or existed, so don't reply back to me if you 100% do not believe in them and think everyone who has their opinion on them is insane.

But heres some points that i must say fascinate me:

1) As someone said in a comment

2) A few years ago people said that no aquatic creature could live beyond a certain point in the ocean but years later they find whole new species of living organisms. which shows even science sometimes gets it wrong and that we dont always know the truth of the things we want to know or believe.

3) And i was thinking shouldn't we not be looking for ways to prove vampires do exist at all. but be looking for ways why they cant exist? we do have some prove to say why they cant exist like they haven't been seen, But they have! numerous eyewitness accounts show that people have seen something. but we haven't any evidence that they haven't or do not exist for the only proof we have showing they dont is the fact that they haven't yet been caught or indefinably been seen.

I have so much to argue on both points of the argument and would love to hear your ideas and proof so comment back

Belief is more than seeing and/or meeting one. If you really liked them as much as you say you do then no one can tell you otherwise that they do not exist. Vampirism is an intriguing subject. Propheria is an actual disrder. and could it be that the vampire society maybe messed up by either mating with a human or maybe one of their prey got away and that is how we came in contact with the disease. dont give up just because you want physical evidence. Maybe the closest you will ever get is understanding the genetic disorder....i feel like i ran out of resources in my area that is why im here...to find out more.

are you a hunter? well not in that way but are you going backpacking to look for vampires? because i have friends that do and they sometimes bump into others vampire searchers but my friends are scientists of the paranormal so they do it as strictly business normally

Hmm, aside from the random diverse posts in this thread, i think i may go along with the original concept of it . NOw before i throw my encounter out there. Imma join the club and say that Vampires do exist, as do other "things that go bump in the night"...but at the same time i always have that seed of doubt in the back of my mind. But anyway, back to the point:
My strangest "encounter" i guess we'll call it happened about 3 years ago in my hometown of Great Falls, MT. Very eerie place at night btw, gunshots, screams and of course supernatural activity. haha. I was walking back from a concert at the community center that night, about a 13 mile trek. I was walking down 6th street, passing central Ave. There is an old old church on the corner of 6th and 3rd ave north. One of them that still have crucifix' up top and a courtyard. Now i kept watching the moon that night (solely for the fact the band i had went to see had an obcession with werewolves ) but as i got closer to the church, the full waning moon didnt seem to move from atop the crucifix. I thought it was odd, but i was alittle "open minded" at the time if you get what i mean . well. as the night was fairly warm out, mid july, but as i neared the church it suddenly got very chilly and it seemed the sounds of cars and people babbling had went away. it was quiet and eerie. As i said, i had kept gazing at the moon and the next time i did, the moon was covered by a dark sillhouette, i didnt think anything of it at first as i continued down the street but then it hit me and i looked up again. very eerie. There was just this ..black thing that looked much bigger than a bird or anything, it had a construct of a male actually just..perched there i guess you could say.i kinda stared at it a little bit and i felt like whatever it was, it was staring at me. I started to hear what sounded like vibrations in my head. i looked around my surroundings to investigate the sound, and when i looked back the figure was gone and the moon seemed to had moved back to where it should have been. i was still kinda creeped out but intrigued if anything. I continued along my way at an understandabley quicker pace, still feeling like something was watching me. When i had got hom, it was almost 3 in the morning so i went to bed, still feeling eyes upon me. i put my music phones on to try and relax and go to bed. i eventually fell sleep to shadows dancing outside my window. When i awoke the next morning, i was no longer chilled but my window had a layer of frost on it...and also what looked like scratch marks. There was also a few marks on the outside of my bedroom door (which is in the basement) i was uberly freaked out, and i think thats when i my research into the paranormal hightened. too bad my dad blamed me for the "vandalism" and i had to pay for new window haha. But yeah, thats my little encounter. i have moe that are more..."traditional" but since this one kind of spooked even ME out i figured id share it.
