Christopher Dorner in gun battle with authorities, source says

Scanner just said 7 burners deployed and we have a fire. They are burning him out, they are watching all the exits.

listening to the radio feed I just heard "7 burners on and we have a fire. We have a fire in front, he may come outof the back, be ready!"

listening to the scanner, they said they have fire on the side of the cabin, anyone else hear this?

So all that police training and navy training he got and this was the best plan he could come up with: drive 20 minutes out of town to a large heavily populated tourist mountain lake area and try to hide out??

If this was his plan than he never had a chance from the get go.
He should have got the heck out of dodge fast, go to some remote national forest area away from L.A. and hide out there.

If there is a fire - refer to my earlier post about how the scanner said something about "backing the burner in"

ETA: fire could also mean gunfire.

CBS just questioned if dorner lit the fire lol...they need to monitor the scanner

they also just said theres no fire dept on scene.. lol light fire with no fire dept

CBS feed says cabin is engulfed in flames now.

Ok they are asking for an engine (fire) to come down the road, cabin on fire.

If they weren't sure he was dead they wouldn't let fire in. So wonder whats up with that.

Good point.

If he had any prep time (which from media sources it's hard to tell) it could be booby trapped. The cops are going to have to play this one very delicatley with the whole world watching.

Do you think than an LRAD or one of those microwave directed energy devices atop a humvee would be of any benefit to the situation?
