so let me get this right...

North korea PROVES it has Nukes and the US does NOTHING, but is frothing at the mouth to invade Iran on the POSSIBILITY that it MIGHT be building Nukes.

Americans are morons if they support their government, Democrat OR Republican. But how it this news to the rest of the world anyway.

Let’s just show them real power and detonate a 15MT nuclear war head of the coast of Pyongyang, no killing anyone, then Obama do a speech and start laughing at the power of NK’s warhead, lets humiliate them! I can imagine Kim laying on his belly crying and kicking his hands and feet like a brat!

Would I be right in saying that the largest nuclear warhead test by the USA is 15MT?? Was NK really that much smaller @ 7MT?

Yes, because it wasn't 7 megatons, it was about 5.5kilotons. That's a factor of 3000. So, yes, yes it was that much smaller.

The 'alphabet name' poster above answered my question with this graph. Having known details having detonated numerous explosions in the Nevada desert, above and below ground, there should have been a way to determine the size of the device needed for the corresponding quake activity. If in fact 'Quake activity' is the correct term were it caused by a nuke.

It also seems a precarious choice of action or test noting the quake activity in that area. Could it have the effect of initiating real earthquake activity on the Pacific Rim?

You can always outsource a 60MT bomb to Russians, and if you pay extra for the damper, it'll clock 100MT. That'll show the "Un" guy...

It's because Israel has no beef with North Korea

It's because Israel has no beef with North Korea

It's because North Korea bailed out of the NPT but Iran is still a member.
As a member Iran is prohibited from producing nuclear weapons. North Korea, not being a member, is not bound by anything concerned nuclear weapons.

I actually see merit in either argument.

I thought they stopped all that nuclear "testing" when the Bush's went out. This is so inhumane. Now all of that tsunami fallout is washing up in Hawaii and the fish are eating sea plastic. I wish the Marie Curie Foundation still owned the patent for splitting atoms and charged a humungous licensing fee for use of their invention. I'd double the price of the bombs for them, or take the rights away altogether. I wonder if such an organization exists. Could you imaginge? If they let every country that had the capability harbor only one nuclear bomb, the bastards could still keep their finger on the button. Then if you blow yours, you lose WWIII.

Well maybe what I was taught was incorrect. If so I stand corrected then and also apologize for that...

I retract my previous posts. Can't be right all the time.

Yes I made the MIT statement as it is true and you can look into the various times in MIT history where a few students started making a Non-Fueled Fission and in one case Fusion device.

If North Korea was using the Two Point device the detonation would not have failed to properly achieve the proper geometric cascade of Critical Mass necessary for the detonation of all Nuclear Fuel to the extent and manner that the Norths several failed Nuclear Detonations have shown.

Such failure is more likely associated with either a Plutonium Core Implosion not having the Explosive surrounding Tiles properly calibrated and timed in either their designed shape or timed detonation.

THIS...failure as well as a Failure associated with the improper Geometric Design of the WEDGE that acts as a so called Bullet that is shot into a Uranium Core to achieve critical mass and thus detonation of Nuclear Fuel by Fission...is consistent with the measured Ground Movement and calculated Yeild of the North Korean Test weapon.

Split Infinity....p.s....NO....North Korea does not have any ability of coming even close to the ability of the U.S. Military R&D Covert Weapons Development Programs. When you talk about the U.S. ability to create Highly Advanced Weapons....you must talk about things on a whole different level than any other countries abilities.

It is you who did not do his reading as I stated the Satellite is broadcasting either a specific Microwave Frequency or specific frequency of Radar that reflects off the SHIELDING CONTAINER and that reflected signal is analized by Networked Supercomputers that determine the Quantum Vibrationary state of any reflected object that has been cataloged to behaving in a manner that determines that it holds Nuclear Fuel.

I believe now that you know this...you will understand the association to the Containers materials Electron Fields surrounding the Atomic Nucleus' of such material as it is these fields that will be in a state of Quantum Vibration that is detectable.

Looking at the map of the North Korean test site, it looks awfully close to China. I wonder how China feels about possible fallout/ radiation crossing their border. Even underground, couldn't there still be hazardous effects?

Exact references, please, I'm more than willing to look at the numbers.
