Oh I did that wrong, that last quoted line was what I wanted to respond to you.

"You sound like one of those silly little "gangstas".

Thank you. Coming from you I'll take that as a compliment - I know how you look up to the bigger kids in the 'hood.

Those silly little gangstas are just so cute when they get all bowed up and try to look grown up and badassed, aren't they?

executive powers are meant to enforce the laws not make new ones. So instead of Obama trying to play on peoples emotions, he should be using his executive orders to enforce the laws that are already on the books, not make new laws that they will only enforce when they want to do it.

Stop buying into the B.S.

In what world do you live? Solid rock proof,. rofl! Solid proof for bases, solid proof for classified information, can you think? Do you even have a slightest idea how it's worked with anything classified?? Seems you are too clueless.

That is not to say, one should believe it because of rumors, but one cannot exclude it - this is the smart position you can take. It doesn't have to be reptilians,Illuminati or someone in robes. It can be done by influential people and politicians, companies... You would look smarter if you refrained from name calling (especially when your posts have nothing substantial and barely talk about the topic and you continue to double-triple post, you n00b calling others for staying in lobby and grown up when you are far from grown up) and stop posting about solid proof of something you do not know. Yes there are things that show such thing can happen but it is too early to talk about it.

Obama took some very special laws for himself before the last election and the Republicans allowed him these laws because they were so sure that one of their own would be in power after the Election. Well Romney didn't get into power and Obama has these powers. I would trust him above any Romney. You are so lucky to have Obama because when the chips are down he will protect the common man, the Republicans would never do so. In my country Australia, our government plans to give sanctuary to the Indonesian Elite, those of Abidabi, some of the British royal family and some American elite thrown in. None of these peole add anything of worth to this country because they are trash - takers not givers. So, we don't need or want them. Meanwhile America will have a decent President doing all he can for his people while they deal with all the earth changes that are coming.

THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED...

How difficult is that to understand?... Any bill that seeks to INFRINGE the right to bear arms is UnConstitutional, and a step closer to a full blown dictatorship...

Any bill that seeks to limit the amount of ammo people can buy is UnConstitutional, and a step closer to a full blown dictatorship...

I have to chuckle every time someone claims "your rights to firearms are not being infringed upon", when in fact they have been infringed upon for a long time... Several cities, and states within the U.S. either completely ban, or heavily restrict certain firearms...

The second amendment doesn't say "the people shall be allowed the priviledge to pay for a hefty fee and carry a concealed weapon"... And neither does it say "the people can only have this sort of firearms"...

The second amendment doesn't say the government gives this right... This is not a right given, or that can, or should be taken away by anyone or any government... It is a natural right intrinsically linked to the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness among many others...

This is not about guns. This is about the President of the United states signing a executive order that would limit an amendment in the constitution..

This goes far beyond guns and gun control...

------------------

I could see the anti-gun crowd arguing the need for gun control measures.... However I think both sides can agree... the president does not have the power to write law... yet here he is dictating through executive order...

Both sides of the debate should be up in arms about this...

Especially the people that come to take the guns.

Too bad the toothless sheep that promote gun bans don't have to do the dirty work themselves and go door to door collecting the weapons from their owners. But, no, they will leave the dirty work to jack-booted govt thugs armed with the very weapons that they would deny us!

Grow some testicles and take the guns yourself! Make us safer....

THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED...
reply to post by ElectricUniverse

Excellent! Starred.
Let me post the entire amendment, to bring up another point:

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed

-The Second Amendment

Let me emphasize a common misconception that those that oppose the Second Amendment make.
First, they try to limit certain weapons, by claiming that those are not needed for deer hunting.
Well, nowhere in the Second Amendment does it discuss deer hunting.
The second argument opponents make is to state the we have an armed forces, thus there is no need for a militia, or private ownership of guns. That may be true for threats from outside our country, but more and more, the greater threat to the survival of a free America is from within, by those in government and industry that have attacked citizen rights one by one.
Let me state this is NOT a partisan remark, because in the last 12 years, BOTH a Republican and a Democratic administration have passed anti-Constitutional ACTS/LAWS such as the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and actions such as a "kill list". Going back as far as Nixon, who had an "enemies list" of American citizens, it is obvious that the power of the Presidency frequently encourages tyranny Yes, believe that several Presidents of both parties in the last 100 years have engaged in tyrannical practices.
Partisanship does nothing to ameliorate this situation, and in fact, is encouraged by BOTH parties in order to divert attention away from such tyrannical acts.
I ask members and citizens to be constantly aware of this diversionary attempt. This is about everyone's rights, not just the right to bear arms, but all of the rights that our Founding Fathers fought, and in many cases, gave up their lives to give us.

Yeah there is no need for guns... Oh wait except to win preserve and protect liberty and freedom!

Yeah change was hard for the Jews in Nazi Germany and the 250 million disarmed people killed by their own governments in the 20th century...

Perhaps you'd be more comfortable in North Korea they have no guns there and no citizen on citizen gun violence. Oh wait but they do have gun violence there when the government shoots anyone who gets out of line or tries to escape the country...

Let me be blunt as well. Today - specifically TODAY, 16 January 2013 - around an hour ago, I watched as a presumed President of the United States declared war upon his own people. People whine and wring their hands and say "but how could Assad declare war on his own people?" in Syria... look no further than Washington, D.C. for your answer, for this very day they have done the same to the US people.

Oh, he used all the cute catch phrases so popular amongst would be dictators - "military style assault weapons", "AK-47", all the trigger words for the emotionally unstable individuals who live by fear. He even had kids on the stage... KIDS!... using them for props in his agenda driven pursuit to eliminate the America that was. Not only those kids, but he stood on the backs of the fallen at Sandy Hook in order to drive in the corner posts of his New America.

THAT is unacceptable. One does not honor the dead by walking on their corpses to support the weight of your own agenda.

Yes, "Dear Leader", I suppose it IS "for the children" as you claim... much easier to enslave and indoctrinate them once you've killed off their parents, isn't it?

He claimed, with the left hand, to be attempting to disarm "criminals", while handing out guns with the right hand to Mexican drug cartels. Perhaps he doesn't think of them as "criminals".

He decried the use of "deadly weapons" while wielding in his hand, on that very stage, the most deadly weapon of all, and employing it against us, the American People, as well as the US Constitution. "The pen is mightier than the sword"... and Obama just aimed his pen at all of us, right there on the stage in front of God and everyone. I bet that pen is loaded, too. Better not have a hi-cap ink cartridge in it.

He used it to demonstrate his disdain and lack of knowledge of the US Constitution, just as the title of this thread implied he might.

I always maintained that it could too happen here, in the face of all those who claimed it couldn't happen in America. I KNEW it could happen here - nowhere on Earth has it ever happened and everyone was expecting it. There are ALWAYS the ones who cry "it can't happen here!"

Well, it has. Civil War II was declared today, by the very government you depended on to protect you. Even though I KNEW it could happen here, I was still not prepared for the shock of seeing it happen. I don't suppose one ever can be, but it comes all the same.

The line in the sand has been crossed. Lock and load. Beat your plowshares back into swords. The time for talking is over, because your servants in DC are no longer HEARING the talk.

It's on.

ETA: Here is the list of the subject matter of the 23 executive orders he signed on that stage. That's right, TWENTY THREE! They look sort of innocuous, don't they? Stripping for a "delousing shower" in the gas chambers of Auschwitz probably looked pretty innocuous at first, too.

Till the gas started being pumped in.

Note how many times the phrase "gun violence" is employed. That tells me that the Administration doesn't care about violence, unless a gun is involved. then it's "action for the children". If there is no gun, be as violent as you like - they don't care in that case. Otherwise, "violence" would have been addressed, not "gun violence" or "brick violence" or "baseball bat violence"... or "ink pen violence", as the man himself employed.

I have no guns. Didn't really need any until today. Even though that's the way it was, had a doctor asked me about guns in my home, that doctor's appointment would have been over, right then. Whether I have a gun, or a mahogany coffee table, in my home is none of that doctor's business. It has no bearing on him patching up my wounds and sending me on my way.

A wise man once told me, long ago, that "when people start burying their weapons to hide them is the very time they SHOULD be digging them up to employ them".

I disagree with that statement but as you said, it is your personal opinion. As this is of course mine btw...

I do not think this is the right time to move with your family to america and enjoy the many happy US citizens around you. The US is seriously bankrupt, running on vapours and about to cave in. And when it does people want to know who is responsible. From that moment on the citizens have woken up...as expected, when their wallets are robbed empty and the thiefs have left the country. That is when you will see how and how many unhappy US citizens there will be. When this happens you do not want to be in the USA.
