There are so many things overlooked and unnerving about this whole thing. The mom was nice, but NEVER talked about her kids or home life. Ever. Her son was known for being a genius especially with the computer. However mom told babysitters when he was 11 do not take your eyes off him even for a second, dont even go to the bathroom while you are watching my son. He was kicked out of many schools too. SO, why the heck would she decide one day that she wanted to learn all about guns, and teach him all about guns. Women do not just all of a sudden take up shooting fully automatic assult rifles and buying 100 round clips and bulet proof vests. What mother in her right mind, would encourage her son whom she kept away from everyone and insisted he could not be trusted not even long enough to use the bathroom.. to learn all about this way of life. AND keep them in the house where he can get to them any time he wants because he liked going to the shooting range?? The feds say he appeared to be in his right mind while he did this. The feds also say that he destroyed his computer and hard drive before he did all this.

ALSO, you can not hide all these things. He was dressed for combat carring an automatic rifle, with big clips, and a bullet proof vest and he walked in????

I'd say there is A LOT of evidence being overlooked. Or, better yet, being kept from the public.

Well to to DIY and you had proper channels to get the parts and plans, tools to do it then it's not entirely impossible. The thing is DIY illegally you risk your own life if it's machined wrong and you always have a risk going to jail owning it. That's why these pre 1986 full auto's cost as much as a car. To my understanding It is illegal to convert anything. You have to buy one that is already grandfathered in so to speak.

ATS Users: Is anybody else experiencing this...

I was looking at all the MSM youtube videos on the story, and some videos on certain websites. Yesterday every youtube video I tried to look at on Sandy Hook wouldn't open, except videos of White House speakers. I can't look at any mainstream media footage and I can't listen to the police radio dialogue.

I told my girlfriend about this and she attempted to open some websites on Sandy Hook. She called me over and kept getting "Unauthorized Access" to public news websites. Is this youtube/internet censor specific to my computer or is anyone else experiencing this? I am able to go on any website, including ATS, and watch any youtube video aside from these.

Yeah, I had a relative that used to have a legal Tommy gun.

Anyway, I'm not trying to encourage anybody to convert their rifles. I'm just saying it's a possibility.

Lanza also might have been the type to get into deep web activities.

I hope you all don't believe the filth that is pouring from your sick, twisted minds. Are you kidding me. Stop portraying a child murderer as a victim. It's sick. Disgusting, Disrespectful. The last moments those children experienced was sheer terror at the hands of this young man. It's one thing to say someone else was involved and got away, it's a whole nother thing to portray him as a victim.

Came across this snippet of a news recording, where the dad is talking about his murdered child. Before he gets on the mic, he is seen laughing and joking. NO PARENT WHOSE KID JUST GOT MURDERED CAN DO THIS!!! I don't care what anyone says.

I'm sure he thinks it's hilarious. It's means very little. I laugh from stress at inappropriate times, it's a auto-reaction my body makes. Unless you can hear what is being said, and know what's happening, your making an assumption. Yes it should go viral, make it tougher then it already is on the poor man. When my grandmother died abruptly, everyone was heartbroken yet was trying to have a good time at her funeral. People tell jokes at funerals of loved ones all the time. My best friends father died of a heart attack recently, and he was joking about it a day later.. Does that mean his father didn't really die? No he is just dealing with it the best he can.

Yes, it's called reporting the facts without checking, due to the media rushing to be the first to report and beat the internet to the punch. Heck, remember the made up story that swallowing manfluid reduced a womans chance of breast cancer being reported in the media as fact before they realized it was a hoax? Come on, common sense states that the media is horrible no a days. All this points to is the lousy ability of today's media, most of it is amateur and internet based as well. A rush to publish first, or be left behind.

They didn't have nearly as many issues with the shooting in Oregon just days before this happened. They waited to release details, and, as far as I know, most of those details have held up.

I thought it was stated that Lanza was only found with handguns on his person, and that the rifle was in the trunk of his car?

The Oregon shooting was less of a story, this one had everyone in the nation reporting on it basically as it was happening. This happened so close it became the conspiracy game to play, don't fool yourself. Here us a great article on accuracy in the news. blog.journalistics.com...

It was a shotgun. One news says "he had an AR" second news says "a rifle is getting pulled from his car" third news reports "an AR is getting pulled from his car" fourth news reports "no a shotgun got pulled from his car" it's how quick news reporting without fact checking works. It happens in every case. The news is not accurate with breaking news reports that are based on speed and not accuracy in a instance like this, lets not pretend they are.
The only fact they reported is that a gun was pulled from the car, and eventually, we got the official word.

Wow, so many experts in criminal and human psychology, and profiling around here! I wonder why the media doesn't just call you all to investigate this horrific incident. Heck, why don’t the authorities as well?

Amazing how many “holes” have been found in evidence that hasn't even been finished being investigated yet. Unfortunately, in this new world of instant demand for information, we don’t get the accurate story, but that’s the price for instant gratification. I would suggest taking a breather, let the damn police finish their investigation, and if you want to nit pick their findings, have at it. You just can’t logically argue when we don’t have the facts.

You believe what you're taught to believe. You don't question the media outlets because you were brought up to trust the media outlets.

It is truly sad that the majority of people feel the way you do. If the government is attempting to curtail the amount of guns and ammunition in circulation, why were hundreds of millions of rounds of hollow point ammunition ordered?
