For those who have children does this event make you want to homeschool your kids?

I do homeschool my kids and have done so for over 2 years now.. ( i had a fall out with a social worker at the elementary school) but I highly recommend it.! it's brought my family so much closer together as a unit.. I know exactly where my kids are in their education.. and what they need to work on.. they don't have to wait for slow kids to catch up and go at their own pace.. it's very rewarding to put the effort into your children

Don't be naive. Of course the gub'mint would let them die. Like they did teacher Dave Sanders at Columbine, whom they ignored for four hours until he finally bled to death.

oh ok see i haven't been updated since 4 pm so I didn't realize she wasn't a teacher there.. last info I had was that she was... my bad.

No problem, I was in no way being critical.
The six o'clock local news here several states away was still reporting she was killed in her classroom while elsewhere the media had moved on to she was killed in her home and wasn't a teacher at all.

The misinformation and disinformation in this case has been appalling.
But, I don't hear a hue and cry in the outer world about it.

Anytime it happens people accept freely a "fog of war" explanation.
Why aren't they taken to task?
Because it would appear that's what is intended is that the truth and lies get blurred.

Thanks for that feedback! I'm definitely homeschooling my children not only because of this event, but mainly due to the notorious school district I live in.

Bizzare...
I agree with the others that nothing seems right about this. It smells very fishy.

What the hell was his motive anyway? They always plaster the motive instantly as soon as things go down, but Ive waited all day and still no media can tell me motive??

It actually appears as if there is a rogue mercenary hit man team involved in a string of high profile massacres.
And since the media wont even entertain such possibilities, and is following an obvious totalitarian agenda pattern, they are probably in cahoots with law enforcement to cover this all up.

Why is every aspect of this whole thing aligned in such a ambiguous manner?
There is a reason for the false ambiguity. It cannot possibly be, but there it is. The media hasnt presented any explanations of value so its up to each person to decide themselves.

Wiki this " PALADIN GROUP".
This is a good example of a secretive mercenary squad for hire. This particular group named was created by ex SS NAZIs in Spain after ww2 , they were even members of the World AntiCommunist League, had connections with everyone, Vatican, CIA, Sun Myung Moon, etc etc. Involved in civil wars, insurrections, coups, etc etc.
These are the types Id image have no problem shooting a bunch of kids for political reasons.

What kind of person, other than Anakin Skywalker, chooses to shoot up children? I cannot wrap my mind around this.

When I saw that part of the movie, it really bothered me. And I thought of it when I heard this news, too.

Consider the high death toll at Sandy Hook Elementary with just one wounded survivor. The shooter must have had extraordinary shooting abilities to achieve such a high kill rate.

They were FIVE year olds, trapped in a classroom probably frozen with fear. He probably executed them point blank.

The kids were 5 to 10, according to the President. Sure, some of them would have frozen up, but I'll bet others were running to the door. And what about the seven adults? Come to think of it, 26 dead and 1 wounded has got to be a new record in whack shooter marksmanship. This guy had a higher kill-to-wounded ratio than Bryant(Tasmania), Cho(VTech), Breivik(Utoya), and Loughner(Tucson/Giffords). All from an autistic/asperger kid who are known to freak out at loud noises.

Fuhgeddiboutit. This killer was a pro.

If it happens in afghanistan and Iraq etc without batting an eyelid what makes you 100% certain they could not do it to their own in the way to remove rights?

That's nice. Except limiting your kids to knowledge from a single source is limiting their potential. You may just end up with a very loving, dumb family.

Having said that, it's sad that home schooling is considered an actual 'solution' by Americans, to the risk of being massacred in a classroom, rather than the derrr-dumb obvious (for the rest of the planet, that is) 'cure' of gun prohibition.

How fearsome an opponent the gun lobby must be that a country feels compelled to make compromise regarding even their own children for sake of avoiding confrontation with thus fear-mongering evil.

actually, we are a part of a co-op ( i do like alot of my other parents even if I don't agree with their religion/ etc..) ... many many children in my small town are homeschooled.. I think you should do more homework on the subject.. my kids are all in other activities as well including soccer, baseball, basketball, scouts , etc... but thank you for your opinion.. lol.. never mind all the online resources and etc.. it's not like the dark ages here

PS. I'd put my kids and their intelligence up against anyone else their age in "regular public school" all of them are 2 grades above their peers. Beyond that I actually encourage them to be creative and think for themselves.. I try to stay away from anything I feel indoctrinates any certain idea or belief without questioning it.

Yeah, they have tons of cameras at the new school they just built here. Guess what? Those cameras don't do anything for kids protection. They catch kids smoking pot and cigarettes, and they make for harrowing news footage when something really bad happens, and that's it.

I completely agree.. the one they have at my daughters school ( I have two in public school) is really pointless.. the buzz everyone in.. . i could have said i was there for anything.. kinda really pointless if your not going to use the system

Why do we believe stuff on tv without question?

Did a massacre happen? I dunno, maybe.
Even if it did happen, what they claim about it could be untrue.

Look, we have a serious problem here, and it appears to be a bad case of brainwashing.
We instantly believe the media lies.. this has got to change soon.

Please stop believing and instead start questioning what you believe.

Questioning is one thing ( a good thing ) but keep it in the realm of reality.

The state police helicopter was put in the air, and before long agents with the FBI and ATF were headed to Newtown as well.

Fuhgeddiboutit. When the Feds get involved, you know the fix is in. Watch for the DHS to show up, too.

We're less then 24 hours after it happened. Keep in mind that when stuff like this goes down it's generally confusing. And the media likes to rush things out.So it really shouldn't be surprising that not everything is fitting together just yet.Give it time and I can bet it won't be so fishy. Though I'm sure to some here it will.
