Not your fault. To the witnesses it looked like a bullet proof vest and that was reported, it wasn't til after that they corrected that when most people stopped paying attention.

Lessons most of us had already learned, but that were re-illustrated today.

- Anti Gun people are still wretched enough to argue politics (it's there fault because the argument is ignorant, any counter argument is a direct result of the dubious original argument) right after a horrible event.

- The 24 hour news media cycle is counter productive and is a disinfo machine that also hurts people (for example the other brother whose name and faced went out worldwide attached to a spree killing).

- We are way behind on treating mentally ill (instead we blame guns).

- The mentally ill spree killers will always choose sites where they are less likely to recieve resistence.

- People won't take into account the facts and still will blame guns despite the real problems. Politicians will continue letting people arguing ignorantly back and forth over this.

- Oh, and question the media's account, think outside the box in any way ,and you are a nut.

Radio FOX reports stated the principal buzzed him in because she recognized him as the son of a colleague.

How would she know the son of an alleged "substitute"?
I recall hearing that other teachers claimed they did not know her.
She was not on the roster.

Even if she was how often would he have visited the school for the principal to recognize him on sight?
And what about his weapons and dress.

I don't think I buy that report but the principal is not alive to verify it.

well I would use the techinical term but that would probably be just as bad.

With this guy you would have to look at what he did, killed his mother, interesting, killed students mother taught or represented students she taught.
Why did he hate mother? Why did he hate Innocent children? Jealous, did he think they were getting the attention he deserved, needed.

That the way I see it .

Still fact is they need to figure a way to bring these problematic people in for help.

OK to no one in particular.. i just pulled a 12 hour shift at the hospital and i'm really too tired to read throught the entire thread.. the last update I had was about 4 pm.. so I only know that 20 children and 8 adults and the guy shot his mother who worked at this school before he went and killed all the little kids... Can someone please summerize and update me quickly so I can shower and go to bed lol thanks

Your "Red Flag" got me thinking. Mods if this is the wrong place, feel free to deleate. What if these people were . . activated to go off shooting like this? Two shootings within a matter of days, both shooters roughly the same age 20's, both shooters shooting themselves. To me and this is just my opinion the shooting themselves just doesn't set right and makes me lean towards the programing, if your dead, there's no chance of something slipping out during questioning. I don't know, maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but to me it looks and feels like something is subconciously programing people,

Yeah that's what I'm thinking.
What if these are all test runs, too see if these "robots" will actually do the unthinkable.
Maybe there are thousands of these "robots" out there waiting to be switched on.

This can also help this theory by "prepping" society to accept the "unthinkable" to happen. This way it eases the dis-belief when TSHTF.
Which it just may very well in six days from now….

This is what I was curious about. After I read the report that the school was on a new security protocol as of this year that required everyone to be i.d.'d and buzzed in. How did the mother and principal/whoever opened the door know each other? Why was he let it?

In that case, let's ban cars, cars are responsible for more deaths a year than babies in Africa. Also, lets ban alcohol (oh wait, we already did that once, how that turned out), alcohol is responsible for prolly 70% of all fatal crashes. Because every person who comes in near physical contact with it, is required by law, to drink numerous amounts then attempt to drive home so that they can be nominated for safest drunk driver.

Or did she walk to the door and physically buzz him?
That seems unlikely.

Wouldn't he have had to state his business?
Be escorted in by someone?

(1) I'm not anti guns but I live in a country were guns are essentially illegal, If hthey are not available they cannot be blamed. I understand the pro's and cons that are constantly bashed out but if they were no guns they could not be blamed (not saying that bombs and other methods would not increase)

(2) Anders Brievik was found not to be mentally ill and having full control, despite it's not what we would call normal human behaviour he did what he wanted to do. So to totally blame the mentally ill on this is also inconclusive. A further note on mentally ill would be you do not have to be mentally ill to kill another human, take at look at the worlds armed forces in battle, you could argue that is defense in some ways but people still do it knowing full well what they are doing, many probably suffer the rest of their lives thinking about it.

ok well at my daughters school they have a closed circuit camera and can see everyone coming and going.. and you have to push a button and state your business and then your buzzed in... they know me.. I could say i'm there for homework, she a doc appt.. i'm buzzed right in.. all this kid had to do was say he was there to pick something up for his sick mom.. buzz .. right on in.

Yeah, they have tons of cameras at the new school they just built here. Guess what? Those cameras don't do anything for kids protection. They catch kids smoking pot and cigarettes, and they make for harrowing news footage when something really bad happens, and that's it.
