Seriously, I questioned that too. First the mother was among the deceased at the school and then she was found deceased at the house.
Make up your minds.

Why was his brother there? 24 years old?
4:41 p.m.:Federal law enforcement sources now say Connecticut school shooting gunman was Adam Lanza, 20, and not his brother Ryan Lanza, 24, as earlier reported. Adam was found dead in the school along with his mother, a kindergarten teacher there.
So was his mom dead at the house or at school?

A parent interviewed on CBS News told the network that his 8-year-old daughter said she heard an argument and cursing over the school’s loudspeaker, apparently coming from the principal’s office. Her teacher then immediately locked the classroom door as a safety precaution.

It makes sense to believe the son of divorced parents discovers something ain't right with the way the Principal pats his Mothers' rear-end? That's the gist of what I've been picking up. Also, what I read here was the shooters brother claiming him to be developmentally disabled? Imagine that the boys' father is his hero, but has to live with mom...Principal + Mom = consequences. That's the only way I can rationalize this craziness.
Leave it up to Politicians to ride the coat-tails of a senseless tragedy-after the fact...nobody is pushing to ban the manufacturing of weapons at the moment? I wonder why.

The older brother was 24 and the younger one has his id in his pocket.. All other details are hazy so dont take it as fact until reported as fact by the local police. I believe the mother was at home according to what they have reported.
State Senator Andrew Lanza received the solid backing of the Executive Committee and figures to mount a formidable campaign against his Democratic challenger.
Finally, Joseph Carroll and Peter Lanza were presented with the Alini Awards in memory of the late Dominick Alini, a dedicated long-time party volunteer. Jeannie Collini and Leticia Remauro made the presentations.

Bath School Disaster
The Bath School disaster is the name given to three bombings in Bath Township, Michigan, on May 18, 1927, which killed 38 elementary school children, two teachers, four other adults and the bomber himself; at least 58 people were injured. Most of the victims were children in the second to sixth grades (7–11 years of age [1]) attending the Bath Consolidated School. Their deaths constitute the deadliest mass murder in a school in U.S. history and the third-deadliest non-military massacre in U.S. history, behind 9/11 and the Oklahoma City bombing.
Yup, stuff like what happened today can only happen because of guns, right people?

Consider the high death toll at Sandy Hook Elementary with just one wounded survivor. The shooter must have had extraordinary shooting abilities to achieve such a high kill rate.
