There are people whose life is already sad and seemingly meaningless and they are desperate for attention or acknowledgement of their existence so this is basically the only way they can get it before they die, their 15 minutes of fame so to speak, by killing a bunch of people. There's also plenty of mentally ill people out there who will see news headlines and construct elaborate stories in their mind about how it connects to them and they must do something.

Not everything is a conspiracy, though ATS tries to turn literally every single headline like this into one (seriously I have never seen a mass shooting that doesn't get turned into some "conspiracy" here and I challenge anyone to present a single example of a headline like this that ATS didn't try to make a conspiracy). It seems like ATS has this delusion that mentally unstable/ill people do not exist and no one is capable of killing other people without the govt, tptb, nwo, mindcontrol, HAARP, or whatever else being involved. Some people just do horrible things like this, people have been murdering other people throughout history without the govt or aliens or mindcontrol whatever other nonsense being involved. Come on folks, two shootings happening at malls/theaters is FAR from enough evidence to claim a conspiracy.

I've been that person and the only place I pointed a gun was myself... I truly have a hard time believing in the copy-cat theory for these types of things.

My God! Two different shopping malls in America have a chain movie theater in them!

That's not a terrible coincidence then. It is however funny that there's always a drill coinciding with a tragedy.. smh

What if the training exercises are just an excuse to get the S.W.A.T. Team close enough to the actual shooting to arrive in a decent time? They did make it there awful fast, if I remember.

Now, all of that being said, I don't know what to make of this. I see that there are connections, and then I also know that sometimes people are just crazy. Bad things happen that don't make sense. As Heff mentioned, you can't put rationale on the irrational.

BUT, if there is a conspiracy here, I believe it lies in the media reporting. And I believe it's purpose is to control us.

Well put. I'm personally one to believe that there is a conspiracy, if nothing, to control guns. We know that the government wants to take our guns away, they just have to trick the public to do it.

If this was some sort of authority trying to put fear within the people; they could of picked a man with a better shot.. he got 3 people, including himself .. sure they have the money and connection to grab all this armor and ammunition, but they dont have the brains to pull it off the way it should of been. (Dont take this the wrong way people, Im DISGUSTED as you are)

All you need is a gunman in a public place to instill fear.

Another similarity between this and Aurora.

Recall that after Aurora there were stories about the lady who had previously "escaped" death only to be shot at the movie theater.

The woman who died in Aurora was almost shot in another Mall shooting only a month before hand? Also a shooting in a food court? How many coincidences are we supposed to believe are just happening by accident?

I put this in the other thread as well. But since this one is more on the "conspiracy" track, I'll put it here as well, as I think it is fairly important...

OK, first, CTC mall is about 1.5 miles from my work and between work and my house, I ride my bike right by it on my commute to work. It was eerie as hell riding by this morning,seeing the Macy's (as it is on the side of the mall I ride by) and the remaining police presence. All that to say, this hits home for me more than any other "mass" shooting event. I offer my best wishes to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery to the girl at OHSU who is recovering from gun shot wounds.

That said, according to several accounts the shooter stopped shooting and ran when the gun jammed, additionally at least one account stated that he dropped the gun and ran. Does anyone else have corroborating info on him dropping the gun? And if so, what did he shoot himself with? As that appears to be the official story at this time.

the people(s) doning the shooting always have some type of purpose...in the CO shooting the shooter 'doesnt remember' and there has been no stated purpose...other than he is 'crazy' ect.

here we have a mall shooting with a heavily armed person(s)...im just gunna assume he/they didnt just wake up one morning, go buy a bunch of gear and weapons and go let off 40-60 rounds in a crowed mall food court. some type of pre planning and thought had to go into this....

interesting to see any security cam fotage of the guy(s) walking into and around the mall or did they scope out the place well enuff to avoid the cams?

there were police reports about a white truck leaving the mall with a person in camo with a possable rifle...??

what was the shooter(s) shooting at?? 40-60 rounds with that many people around..i would assume they would have hit more people....

fbi swat team at scene.. were they at the CO shooting? if not..why not and why were they at this shooting?...were they tracking something?

I guess what doesn't make any sense to me is if he was planning on killing himself, why the mask? The whole point of wearing a mask is to make yourself harder to I.D after your escape. I guess you could say the same thing about the body armor as well. Why try to protect yourself if your just gonna end yourself anyway?

This thought struck me as odd... Why would he be wearing a bulletproof vest, only to shoot himself? He was either intent on a shootout, or intent on ending his own life. I can't find a reason to wear a vest if he was planning on shooting himself when it was all said and done. Thoughts?

The reason shootings are starting to take place in the public domain (schools, theatres and shopping centres etc.) is because the government wants to force you into a corner, where you want to sign away your liberties and your freedoms, everything that makes you a free human being. They want to make a police state a solution to a problem that they have created for their own agenda, for control, for domination.

If it is true that the gunman was wearing a guy fawke's mask, that i assume is only to tie him into the internet group Anonymous, they have became quite an annoyance to TPTB and obviously they want the group taken down, no better way to do that then remove all support they currently have from the public.

Possible connection, 17yr old male arrested 5 days ago. Possibly got bail and acted out? We'll see.

The guy at the top of this page - page 5 posted this, that said I never even considered it could be the same guy. That said with all the drugs and guns he was caught with surely they would keep him locked up longer than 4 or 5 days. The Hockey mask is the piece that gives me chills along with the age. I'm leaning towards accomplice, one was caught so the other went on a rampage alone. Total theory though.

If he's 17 and white and suburban, he's out on bail. Especially if it's a first offense. Doesn't mean he wouldn't get jail time, but they don't hold you like that unless they have reasons to think your going to do something "jump or kill"

If your crazy enough to shoot up a mall......

Maybe remorse set in. Maybe he pictured something heroic in his mind, and reality set in.

Who knows.

To me, this potentially screams........We're coming to get ALL your guns!!
