I was thinking the same thing, in that the phrasing induces a change in the person's identity. The emergence of a new personality can often be precipitated by mentioning a name to people with multiple personality disorder.

Members of the Klamath Falls S.W.A.T. Team will be on site at Klamath Community College on Tuesday, December 11, to administer a role play training for college employees. S.W.A.T.

Team members will train employees on proper response to a variety of potential emergency incidents, including having an active shooter on campus. “You never want to think about the worst case scenario,” said KCC President Roberto Gutierrez, “but as administrators, we would be remiss if we did not make sure our employees are trained for any possible occurrence.

This is all about safety: the safety of our employees as well as our students.”

The training exercise provides benefit to S.W.A.T. Team members as well, who will gain a better understanding of the facilities and layout of KCC, should they ever be called on to respond to an incident at the college.

Had a terrible time getting security to come in a timely manner when we had a theft. Ridiculous. Security loved to hang out and chat with store employees.

I worked mall retail for my first few years working so I totally agree. That's almost everywhere except for major malls like the Houston and Dallas gallerias.

Funny...It was Dallas Galleria I was talking about. Although it has been a few years since I worked there mall security was terrible back then. I got so fed up that I ended up chasing a guy who stole a 'displayed' dvd player myself. (By the way, Never do this!)

Fear=Control

While TSA checkpoints, and body scanners at malls, theaters, etc, are possibilities, as Unphased suggested, I don't think it has to go that far.

Simply instilling fear in the populace works just as well.

If there are terrorists on planes, well that scares those of us that are airline passengers. But not everyone takes vacations that require planes. Not everyone travels for business.With the exception of myself, no one else in my family has ever stepped foot on an airplane. The average airline passenger may take a trip or two a year. So maybe that fear isn't great enough. It doesn't effect enough people.

But who do you know that hasn't been to a movie theater? Who do you know that hasn't been to a mall? Whether you believe the conspiracies that these events have been set up, or whether you think these are just senseless acts of violence, it doesn't change the way the media reports the news or the way the authorities word their statements.

Take a look at the following,

Holli Bautista, 28, said she was shopping at Macy's for a Christmas dress for her daughter when she heard pops that sounded like firecrackers.

"Ordinary December afternoon", "waiting in line for photos with Santa", "shopping for a Christmas dress", "the mall is where we are supposed to feel comfortable." - Basically, the message is "It could happen to you."

The Aurora reports were the same.

Now, all of that being said, I don't know what to make of this. I see that there are connections, and then I also know that sometimes people are just crazy. Bad things happen that don't make sense. As Heff mentioned, you can't put rationale on the irrational.

BUT, if there is a conspiracy here, I believe it lies in the media reporting. And I believe it's purpose is to control us.

Have to admit, when the theatre shootings happened, I was sided with the ones saying he's just nuts. But this changes everything for me, especially the fact he was reportedly watering a guy Fawkes mask. Of course, these days its associated with anonymous, who are obviously anti-government. So when the mask popped up on that TV screen in the first trailer for black-ops 2, being portrayed as the bad guy, i couldn't believe it.
Of course I could but, the cheek of it!

Is it that hard to believe that some deranged/depressed/jaded/whatever person saw the last shooting on the news and all the attention it generated for the shooter and decided to do the same thing?

There are people whose life is already sad and seemingly meaningless and they are desperate for attention or acknowledgement of their existence so this is basically the only way they can get it before they die, their 15 minutes of fame so to speak, by killing a bunch of people. There's also plenty of mentally ill people out there who will see news headlines and construct elaborate stories in their mind about how it connects to them and they must do something.

Not everything is a conspiracy, though ATS tries to turn literally every single headline like this into one (seriously I have never seen a mass shooting that doesn't get turned into some "conspiracy" here and I challenge anyone to present a single example of a headline like this that ATS didn't try to make a conspiracy). It seems like ATS has this delusion that mentally unstable/ill people do not exist and no one is capable of killing other people without the govt, tptb, nwo, mindcontrol, HAARP, or whatever else being involved. Some people just do horrible things like this, people have been murdering other people throughout history without the govt or aliens or mindcontrol whatever other nonsense being involved. Come on folks, two shootings happening at malls/theaters is FAR from enough evidence to claim a conspiracy.

Conspiracy...cult.. something of the strange. I remember reading about the cinema shoooting; a quotee said something like "$25000+" in ammo and armor.. WHAT CIVILIAN COULD GET HIS UNTRAINED HANDS ON THIS STUFF?

It HAS to have something to do with the athorities of the police department (its CLEAR the police force is used to control society anymore, there is no "serve and protect" the people, its all for the system and a FAT pay cheque).. or someone secretly has connection with the military and is causing these disturbing shootings..

If this was some sort of authority trying to put fear within the people; they could of picked a man with a better shot.. he got 3 people, including himself .. sure they have the money and connection to grab all this armor and ammunition, but they dont have the brains to pull it off the way it should of been. very odd. 2 theater shootings, different cities yet almost very similar in detail. I wonder if there will be a conspiracy theory (besides this one) going around soon

These shootings for some reason happens in the places were gun rights are restricted.
You won't see this where conceal carry laws are used.

I was out running errands with my daughter when I saw CNN posted something about North Korea shooting a rocket... then the shooting happened just-so-happens very shortly after. Maybe it's just the conspiracy theorist in me, but it seems awfully convienient to me. Suddenly the North Korea event was forgotten by the MSM, and all that was being reported on was the shooting?... sounds a bit fishy to me.

Yes it is a coincidence and it's caused by weirdo's who try to plan something on a significant date.

That is just downright creepy. I wonder if he was arrested, brainwashed and released? A combination of hypnosis and a good dose of scopolamine can make anyone do anything and not remember a thing.

Someone needs to make sure they save that news story linked to above. It was posted on the 7th. Kid is 17, lives in Portland...gets arrested for guns/drugs and has a hockey mask. . .
