Thats right and I know in health care paychecks are a thing of the past and if you do not have an account you will not be paid. People simply do not see how this set up is incremental. No body wants to fight 'the little things' but it is all little unless you see the big picture.

I just spent time going over this EO. As much as I am not an Obama supporter, I wish you all would go through and read this. Its not what you think.

It will not just freeze bank acounts and abilities to get loans,etc. All monies retrieved go to the US government.

Stay with me.

This is ONLY for any person or entity foreign included that aids Iran in any way.

SO, if lets say a person or bank in China decides to help Iran, what ever money, investments, property etc they have here in the United States will be claimed by the United States.

This EO is a notice to all countries that if they side with or aid Iran instead of us, they will loose everything they own here.

This EO is the "dotting the i's and crossing the t's" before war.

What is CISADA? The treasury dept sect that deals with only the sanctions on IRAN.

Sometimes...well actually a lot of times I have this NAGGING feeling that we are witnessing what amounts to social experimentation...

I know this seems off topic but I believe it is relevant to the outcomes of these orders, laws, acts, bills, and essentially injustices of hypocrisy running rampant across the globe...but here goes:

If you want to see what a dog does when he is cornered and study that behavior...you must first corner him...same goes for humans. I'm starting to think human beings are being pushed to their limits to assess their tolerance levels and find out where exactly that breaking point is...

Why would this global experiment be taking place?? Why so much effort to destroy what we have created just to see what type of reaction you will get? I'm not entirely sure but my gut tells me that its an experiment in evolution...populations have bottle necked before I'm guessing were on the verge of bottle necking again...we may end up with branching species of people we may end up with extinction or we may end up with a single "super race" I'm not entirely sure...and that's where the experiment comes in...to find out.

President Obama has the RIGHT via his Executive order to dissolve congress and SUSPEND THE ELECTION all together.

The right to dissolve Congress and suspend Elections is an EO that was signed by Bush and expanded on by the Patriot Act.

Much like I said back then, don't get caught up in who signed it, just realize that such powers get passed along to the future Administrations, so they can be used at any time.

It's really amazing how naive some people are saying stuff like you're fine as long as you're not sending money to Iran or Syria etc.... Sigh! Then why does government need blanket powers over your bank account hmmm?

Famous last words of government; yeah we need this power but we would never use it on average American citizens... Have any of the geniuses thinking its fine even looked at governments track record on this type of thing? Of course you haven't! I sometimes wonder how low it can get on the IQ meter...

Those same people presumably have no idea what the word "sanctions" is either.

The government does not need blanket powers over every citizen and their finances to stop a regime like Iran or Syria from receiving money. This is what sanctions are for, and every institution responsible for the transfer of funds from one nation to another would be monitoring this.

They do not need control over individual finances of citizens for this purpose, and to suggest that this is an excuse is mind-numbingly idiotic.

Four years back there was a great clamor about Bush declaring martial law and suspending elections as well. Additionally he also had the power to seize assets under the Patriot Act. That is the best rebuttal to all of the anti-Obama threads here that I have read. People don't seem to get that the POTUS only has a shelf life of 4-8 yrs and has a limited impact on most of the long term policies. You have to look at the individuals who bounce around from post to post (i.e. going from Director of CIA to Secretary of Defense to some other head position) to find the true power in Washington. See who they make deals with and as always.....follow the money.

Did you note that this EO implements sanctions set forth in the Act of 2012??

so this is something that is authorised by Congress!!

Here is the text of the Act - Subtitle B includes "Addition sanctions with respect to Iran", and includes:

Sec. 214. Imposition of sanctions with respect to subsidiaries and agents of persons sanctioned by United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Sec. 215. Imposition of sanctions with respect to transactions with persons sanctioned for certain activities relating to terrorism or proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.

this act was passed by 421-6 with 3 not voting in the House of Representatives - voting record

It was sponsored by a Republican member, and had 364 co-sponsors. It passed the Senate on a voice vote, with an amendment that was accepted by the HOR - major points in passage of bill

Laying this as dictatoral and fascist by "Obama" is BS.

I can't find where in the Iran/Syria Executive Order it mentions anything about Congress.
