Of the things you've cited above, the only one that sticks out to me as intriguing is the DARPA funding. I'd read earlier in this thread (or perhaps another), that Holmes was a neuroscience student whose program was funded by DARPA. That certainly gives us food for thought.

As far as his mother's job as a nurse, well, I'm not sure where we might dig up that info. I'd be curious to know where she worked, but I'm not sure how relevant such info would be to this whole thing.

I said I'm open to mind control already, but come on? Those signs you mentioned are also the symptoms of a person that's starting to lose their way in life and lose motivation. Depression for sure. Emotionless? Maybe.

it seems to me that the most reasonable thing at this point would be to start background checking his Professors and Superiors.. the possibility of him becoming the test subject for some twisted neuro-research / mind-control project doesn't sound that far fetched to me.. clean cut, polite, neuroscience major to mass murder with red hair saying he's the Joker.. kid got brainwashed...

Not to mention the lack of family that he had. They don't say much about his parents, other than the mom lives in San Diego with some guy(possibly new husband or original husband) and that she "had a feeling" it was her son who did the shooting. What mother gets the feeling it is HER son that commits a mass murder?

So he was sitting in the front row with an ar15 and none of these witness thought it strange to have all these weapons and a gas mask.That's not something you can conceal going into a movie.

Leave it up to ATS to make a conspiracy out of literally every single big news headline, be it natural disasters, murders, celebrity deaths, election news, whatever. Literally I don't think I've seen a single big news story that ATS hasn't try to make into a conspiracy. Don't people see something wrong with that? Not everything that happens can be a conspiracy, sometimes, # just happens, come on.

There are murderers, mass murderers throughout history, another one popping up is not odd. People here just wan to try to connect everything to some grand conspiracy so they'll create links where there are none.

He had about $4000 dollars worth of killing stuff, not $20,000. Typical for some Americans at the same economic level. Just a nut, not an operative. Logic dictates the message would not be for gun control, but the opposite: the right to shoot back.

This whole thing just has me pissed because I can so clearly see what is happening.

Most that do carry are very serious about it all. They are very serious about no one actually knowing that they are armed, they are very serious about when and where to use it. We only hear about the cases that the media wants us to hear, cases that makes money for them, like the Martin/Zimmerman case where they instantly painted Zimmerman as some kind of crazy kid killer...

The media never reports positively on situations where a gun helped stop a bad situation and mostly where a bullet was never fired, but that is more common than many think. In the case of Holmes in Colo who knows what the outcome would have been if someone(s) were actually armed.

Years ago in the 80s I was on a date at the movies with a girl who lived in San Fran. As the movie was starting about 20 men came into the theater and headed to a row of about another 15 guys who all stood up at the same time and all hell broke loose. Seeing that some kind of gang fight broke out we headed to the closest exit where 3 guys were guarding it and I just said "dude I'm armed" and without a word they moved away. I'm 100% positive that I would have been beaten rather badly if I was not armed that day. I guess I'll never know and most likely I'll never need to say that again or pull my gun, but then when things go bad they go bad extremely fast and unless a person is already prepared they can't do a damn thing about it.

The two servicemen killed were both connected to cyber command, one navy, one air force.

To be honest the whole thing made MORE sense to me at first than it does now.
The witnesses saying there was a 2nd person involved bugs me.
Rigging the apartment up then telling the police bugs me.
Sitting in the car waiting to be arrested bugs me.

I think that maybe there's a chance the gunman really IS part of a conspiracy of some sort(even just a local gang). I saw a thing on him on the news, where they interviewed his old friend. He just does NOT look like the killing type.

I actually heard somewhere that he said he was the Joker as he came into the theatre. Not sure where I heard this but I will research it.

Also, when I first heard about this (only 2 hours after it actually happened) The reports said that there were 2 gunman and that one escaped. Anyone else here about this?

Yes, early on they said the gunman was around the jewelry store.
As if one person escaped to the mall, while a 2nd sat in the car and waited to get arrested.

At first, they say the cops thought he was one of THEM. He totally just gave himself up.

Strange. I watched the CNN report on it and only heard about 1 killer with no accomplices. Wonder if this is meant to be, or if they just don't know the whole truth yet.
