There are so many mental disorders one could label him with but it's too early to tell until he is evaluated.

A person who just suddenly snaps would most likely commit a random act, not plan this for months.
You can " snap" as in just suddenly reach a breaking point, but this can be unrecognisable to others around you. It can be a slow process where you just slowly deteriorate and during this period make the horrible plans, as you sink further into depression or what have you.

It could be a case of he was lonely most of his life and often felt rejection, then this rejection becomes too much to cope with and they begin to hate the world, that isn't really justified, but is to them, in their mind. Academic failures to someone like him who is smarter than most of us can also take its toll. I've seen parents yell at their children because they got a B instead of an A, when lots of us would be darn proud iof a B. it can cause feelings of shame, or he felt under pressure. I had read he failed a big test, then withdrew.

Who knows though really.

I like to look at the facts and then think about it for myself, I'm not sure why he done this and am interested in his motives and other people opinions on what his motives could be, If your so against this thread or topic, why don't you go to another thread on a subject you like or are interested in.

Here is an update on the story:

Police say Colorado shooting suspect not co-operating, determining motive could take months

Police in Colorado say the suspect in one of the worst shootings in U.S. history is not co-operating with authorities.

Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates says 24-year-old James Holmes has "lawyered up" and is not talking.

Holmes was arrested Friday after a gunman opened fire during a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises," killing 12 people and injuring 58. He has been appointed a public defender and is scheduled to make an initial court appearance on Monday.

Oates says it could take months to determine a motive and police are working with FBI behavioural analysts.

The police chief says Holmes had more than 50 commercial packages delivered to his home and school address during the past four months.

So we may have to wait a while to hear what his supposed motive was.

Just catching up again....I am even more intrigued now and sticking to my theory of a bio terror angle to this whole thing....scientists...bottles of unknown substances rigged to blow...I think the shootings were the distraction for something bigger.

just trying to point out the stupidity of this social exercise--- this is far from being a 'discovery-of-facts' thread

all in all inadmissible in any court other than the court of public-opinion which counts for naught

just off the cuff ... why are we only hearing/reporting/interviewing less than 10 witnesses from an event with over 100 witnesses present ... what is that about ??

why is the most monotone, obnoxious, lying, representative getting the most replay ??
(Seeger or however it's spelled)

Maybe some people don't want to talk to the news as they are too traumatized. Also, some are still in the hospital. At least 10, I think were critical, and almost 30 of them were admitted to different area hospitals. The rest might be media shy and traumatized. This was a very traumatic event. Every one handles trauma differently. Some may be so traumatized, their life is irrevocably altered, I'm sure their last thought is speaking to the media. Give them time to heal. I'm sure in the coming months, or a year, you might hear from them then, if ever.
oh please, i never suggested the injured by interviewed ... there were nearly 300 ppl present ... Century Aurora Theatre 9 seating capacity is nearly 300 persons and the show was "sold-out" remember?

so, where are statements from the other 200 ppl who are not hospitalized or injured for that matter.
internet chatter, topix conversations, twitters, facebook, myspace, pick a source, there are plenty to choose from and i cannot fathom ppl NOT TALKING about such a horrendous traumatic experience.
That is how most ppl deal with it ... by talking.
(what would you call what we're doing?)

Just like we have to wait for his mugshot. I won't be surprised if tomorrow on the way to court room the police transport gets into a car accident which also kills James Holmes.

There is the possibility that the news media chooses who is interviewed for how it fits what the media wants shown.

Any decent detective would tell you that you have to 'get into the mindset' of a person to get insight into their motives and actions.

Whilst it might not look all that factual to you, there are so many possibilities about the things going on this guys head and life that could be factors in determining motive and sanity and hence correct punishment.

This might not mean anything to you, but this site attempts denying ignorance, for example if the guy was a patsy or crazy or being manipulated or deluded would warrant a particular course of action with regards to sentencing. It is about correct justice.

On the way to the courtroom, for what? As far as I'm aware no charges have been filed.

At this point the only way to "prove" he had anything to do with it would be to test his person and clothes for gun powder. We haven't been told if that has happened, but I assume (with caution) that they either did, and didn't find anything, or they didn't, which is unfathomable.

As far as I know you are correct. He is still a "suspect" at this point.

i wasn't going to address you until you had your facts ... but, since you didn't wait, i won't either.

you said ...

Colombine had 2 kids, calmly walking around shooting people.
yet, 101 ppl say otherwise ... whatreallyhappened.com...

then you say ...

And every time people say "it doesn't add up." when there is nothing to base that on, other than how you as an individual would act.
can't say i've seen any opinions based on how the poster would behave in a similar situation.
[except for those who believe an armed audience might have been able to reduce injuries]
and, that's an opinion with which i happen to agree.

while you might only see madness (i do see some too), others find releif, satisfaction of curiosity and a coping mechanism in theorizing about the conspiracies afoot. IF this bothers you, one has to wonder, why are you on a site dedicated to conspiracy theories ??

Maybe it will be on the other CNN channel, headline news is it? The one that has nancy disgrace show. They usually show these. What time is hie to appear. Anyone know?

9:30 Colorado time. Is Colorado on Western or Central time zone? If Western, then that would make that 12:30 Eastern, if Central, then 11:30 Eastern am. I'm hoping online live, otherwise I won't be able to see it, so hopefully someone will upload it.

I think Colorado is mountain time, so that would be 8:30 for me in pacific time or 6:30 eastern, I think, but check my math.
Eastern times is always 3 hours ahead of pacific
It goes pacific, mountain, central, eastern. West to east in that order. One hour increments

The Patriot Guard usually will form a wall to block them during a vets funeral if the family invites them.

They use their bodies and 4ft by 3ft flags I believe...but only if they are invited.

As far as I know his court appearance tomorrow is an advisement hearing where court tells him what they suspect him of doing and prosecutors have up to 72 hours to file charges.
I posted it in a few posts back.

Here is my post regarding legalities

Or they can release all the security camera footage that shows him buying a ticket going into the theater, and then going into the parking lot and then dressing up in his riot gear, and then carrying his AR-15 and Shotgun, and .45 caliber pistol, and all his ammo back into the theater, and then come out minutes later and then go to his car and wait for the police to arrest him.

Also, some theaters actually have night-vision security camera's inside the movie theaters to prevent people from sneaking in to movies, I wonder if this particular theater had those type's of camera's installed?

No, movie theater auditoriums do not have cameras installed inside. This is to protect the integrity of the movie being shown (to prevent piracy) and also to deter employees from selling audience reaction footage to studios. Although I personally believe both of these points to be absolute rubbish.
