God I hate that people are arguing in favor of a zombie apocalypse. I also hate that people like NatGeo are trying to cash in on it. It just feeds this retarded frenzy. They used to have some respectability

Firstly, I personally don't think a "zombie" necessarily has to be dead and brought back to life. A state of "living death" could include your body being very much alive. In fact, realistically a "zombie" would HAVE to be alive, at least physically. For our bodies to be propelled we have to have quite a few parts as it were, in working order. Brain, spine, heart, nervous system, probably the digestive system as well. All probably have to be in decent shape for the human body to have phyhssical functionn.

I can't embed videos from the PS3 browser, but I'm going to post a link below that will show you all what exactly WILL eventually (or may have even happened in the past considering how many times it seems human civilisation has "reset") cause a true "Zombie Apocalypse".

It's a fungus called Cordyceps. Check this video out. It's pretty amazing. This fungus infects and takes control of your brain to get you in a place to infect others. And at the end they point out that there is a variety of cordycep fungus for just about every species on this planet.

It's only a matter of time before this fungus attacks humans, or like I said, maybe it already has in the distant past. And to be honest, if you look at the husk of your body the fungus leaves behind, it looks VERY MUCH like the infamout Apollo 20 videos of that girl up in the space ship. ANd a fungus doesn't understand technology. If ancient humans had tech to get to the moon in the past, it makes perfect sense that an infected person would go up and crash on the moon if they could. It explains the hole in the middle of her head as well.

You need to understand how the media works in order to understand why there is an pseudo-increase of these "zombie" events occurring. It started with the Miami face-eating scenario. A story this unbelievably brutal got a lot of media attention. So what does the media do? Air more stories that seem to be similar to this. The media wants high ratings and they'll air what the public wants to see in order to get them. So, that means more "zombie" stories. The grim truth is that things like this happen all the time.

I call lame on the CDC for ever posting such a thing (the original zombie outbreak poo) in the first place. They are a govt agency operating on our tax dollars and have no business posting 'tongue in cheek' crap on an official website. Their job is to protect us from disease... In a straightforward way. That is my interpretation. Once the Miami face eater story hit and "zombie apocalypse" started trending on twitter the various forms of media smelled blood in the water and started reporting this crap. This could also be mixed in with a new tweak of "bath salts" (slightly changing it to combat laws making more and more forms illegal) that is much more likely to cause this craziness than previous forms

If this is so, why did we hear about Jeffrey Dahmer?
If it hadn't been for the face-eater story, we wouldn't have heard about the 'man kills roommate and eats his brain' story?
You think the news media ever sat on a sensational story like that because it wasn't "flavor of the day"?
They go with what sells, and this stuff has always sold copies.

I heard a PSA from the Illinois transportation something (don't remember their title) on the radio. They were talking about paying attention when driving and not to use cell phones while driving, because you never know when a zombie could jump out in front of your car.. It was kinda funny, made me listen.

A couple more cases of this and it would be the perfect time to release a new zombie movie.
