My Mom prayed that she would be able to return her mattress, and she did! She returned it and thanked God for finding a ride to replace her mattress. That ride ended up being me.

Apparently being able to swap out your mattress is prayer priority / worthy over all of the people dying, wars, genocide, other planets, galaxy, universe, etc

I was tempted to make that prayer fail.

Funny how that works.

If you pray that you get a job and you get the job, more than likely you filled out an application and applied and was going to get the job anyway.

I've seen too many times people take themselves and their hard work out of the equation by saying "thank God", or my prayers have been answered.

Taking responsibility for what goes on in ones life should be priority. Everything shouldn't have to be because God, or the Devil did it.

One day, hopefully, all of this way of thinking and imaginary bliss will be done with.

Yeah, I do see your point... Your point reminds me of a story in the bible about a stranger (angels) coming to a house, and the father of the house hosted the strangers as loving guests, not to live but as a guests. The town folk came to the house because they heard there was a stranger in town and the drunken crowds wanted to have their way with the strangers... The father of the house offered his daughters to the crowd to protect the strangers..

Considering the kind of doctors I've had to deal with over the past two years or so ... I'd be VERY inclined to say that when a doctor actually manages to save a life, then it's a miracle. The miracle being .. that you actually found a doctor who knows what the hell he/she is doing.

I'm agnostic and tend to believe more on an energy based spiritual view of the world as a more plausible explanation than God.

All living forms appear to have a form of energy (calorie ) and once we die I believe that energy goes to a large energy pool. I think we are like a search bot and when we are living we are collecting individual knowledge and experiences and when we die we upload to the main energy pool. So in a way we are all connected and their is an infinite source of information to be tapped in to. Sometimes I think we can open a port to the main energy source to upload mini dumps or sometimes download themes that can be applied to our existence or perform upgrades or downgrades to ourselves. Since energy can't be created nor destroyed and we require energy while living it just kind of makes sense to me. More so than the traditional image of god as a man that created us and gave us the options to do things he doesn't want us to do (I guess bugs or maybe a result of a hacker? Wait a second maybe Anon is the Ripper and they do a DDOS attack against us and that is how we die. :lol.

Any ways back on point . the short answer for me is Yes. I know of three incidents where I have prayed for something and i have seen the results to my AMAZEMENT within a day. Call it coincidence but it has amazed me and it conflicts with my views which could explain why I created my energy based thing as a feeble attempt to rationalize it . I have no physical proof ,nor do I claim to be able to do it at will, nor claim to have 100% effectiveness, nor to claim to understand it. Like I said they were pretty strong coincidences if anything else.

As a matter of fact I had one last night answered in the form of an outcome that was not preemptively setup nor influenced. Something didn't feel right , i prayed and walla I got my answer. I have noticed that when I have been the most honest with myself in the prayer as to what is it that I would want and when I'm at a low point in need of something that those prayers have been answered.

So what is an Agnostic doing praying? I had a best friend of mine in middle school whos mother was Catholic (I think) say to me one time when I asked her
1. what do you pray for> She said: I pray for all those souls stuck between heaven and hell to be forgiven and allowed to go to heaven.
2. And why do you pray> She said: Because there is a possibility the prayers may work and there are no consequences to doing it.

She was later killed in a car accident and as form or respect i kept her tradition going.

I was also raised somewhat religious and when I was young I had my first experience with having a prayer answered as well. However, As I got older I began to feel that religion and the God thing didn't add up and then jumped the religious ship altogether when I got involved in computer engineering in college. However , I always prayed for peace , happiness and love in the world since it doesn't hurt and then follow it up with a meditation type soul searching event and rarely praying for my self or individuals.Despite being at low points in my life I usually refrain from praying for myself as I'm not the only one dealing with $hit and not to mention my cr@p is peanuts compared to all the hungry children out there. Man I feel like I should break into a Kumbayah lyric, trust me I'm not the hippie type and specially not the religious type.

I'm actually embarrassed about telling people that I pray and even worst for me is believing in the big coincidence that appears to be related to my prayers. The reason I'm even posting this is because I feel that I had a prayer answered last night and this morning I find this post and felt compelled to answer. Of course it doesn't hurt that most people don't know me here. Please refrain from publishing my identity as this is not a challenge but a courtesy request for you hackers out there.

Fair play. Not all doctors out there are going to be good at what they do(even though they fecking well should be) but it is not fair to tar them all with the same brush.

I think god works through Doctors, but this says a lot about the spiritual state of the doctors we have today, there once were doctors with faith.

Respect THEIR last wishes and do it. Does not mean you have to believe in it.

I don't like mushrooms but if someone that I loved was dying asked for a mushroom sandwich(?!) I would make them as many as they wanted.

I ones got an answer and I got it in stereo and will never be the same again because of it. I am not religous and see the religons as views of the thruth behind everything but I am very spiritual after my answer. I got an answer because I had a need for an answer that most people never will experiance in their life. There was also no real selfish wish in that prayer.

Now I am guided thru synchronicity and see (with my mind) a reality that is much more than I saw before. In a way I am both alive in this world and in the next world at the same time, or at least that is what they/god wants me to think. I cannot in my mind be sure it is god or something else manipulating me. Does it matter? If it is not god then it is so much more powerful that it does not make a differance.

How does god work through doctors?

Doctors have to learn how to do their profession just like anyone else. There is no god, just hard work and studying.

Here today this topic was an answer to a prayer, this morning I was crying over circumstances in my life, wondering why my children have suffered, and I guess god wanted to remind me, that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

One's an alcoholic, ones a juvenile diabetic, one has anxiety disorder like me, and one just had a double mastectomy,

You live a day with 11 synchronicity and your view of reality and scientific or statistical test goes out the windows. When you are ready then you will know the thruth. Nowdays I ask questions to god about things and people for some reason during the day will give me the answer to what I asked when they talk amongst themselves. You might not get how god works in mysterious ways but I feel like I am having a front row seat to study it and I am having so much fun watching it.

When the statistical improbablity get over the number of electrons in the universe then it is not a coincedens.

Yes, I was thinking of synchronicity.

I dont say Lord, or King, anything Pyramidal, or Throne, or Worship, though I did through habbit, but not by meaning, when I was going to Church. Family, and Father/Mother is the opposite of that, but pure humble loving good giving, forgiving, and profoundly so.

When you take attributes (I call these Virtures too, and they live with high frequency Virtues as opposed to Laws, there are none, but you can't get to the higher levels until your mind is of that frequency, which never ever can harm):

Peace, Love, Non retaliation, Non punitive, Gentle, Humble of Heart, Generous, Giving, Caring, Compassionate, Walking in each others shoes, Going the Extra Mile to help someone, Service To Others, Forgiveness, Giving a Voice to the Needy, etc

Then you turn the Frequency up up up up up up up up, past our comprehension, and you mght start to understand that our bible is a code for something, but its NOT GOD/GOODNESS.

And all my life, we've experienced providence, and help. Not that that meant that hardships did not occur, for they did. But when one door closed another opened. When my son was young saying it wanted red running shoes, and I had no free money to buy designer kinds, so kept looking second hand stores for months, but there was none, and suddenly out of the blue, someone put a bag of boys clothes on the doorstep with some designer red anklet running shoes that were 1 size too big, so they fit him for a year, and we've never forgotten that, because God doesn't just watch over our needs, but our dreams and wishes too, and cares for the yearnings of a little boys heart.

We pulled over one day in the daytime, because there was a huge silvery type moon in the sky with an object moving around it, and for about 10 minutes or so, we stared straight at this until it formed a big cross, and then a round film moved off the sun, and we couldn't stare any longer.

When the red moon eclipse happened a year ago December I believe, I also had a miracle with that, didn't see what the kids saw there at all, but saw something, Whiter than White, pure and beautiful gleaming White, like a slinky of slivers behind it, instead of a moon, that formed shapes, Dove came to mind and Angel came to mind and I realized that those end time things meant different things to different hearts, minds and frequencies, since I don't see anythign bad here being allowed to happen, and that Cheaters dont get their way, its not Universal Laws but Virtues overhead, so they are very wrong. And, we need to have a wonderful upgraded version of the next few years and a wonderful vision of equality and freedom joined together into bringing earth to heaven and creating eutopia here.

When a friend was sharing his nde, with me, (and for me this was very significant for I called God Mother and stayed away from the male side of this so having Father do this meant a lot) I was aware of a Field of Him, far bigger field than earth or surroundings, however it also felt like this wasn't in our channel, frequency, it was like a window opening up to home. And He hugged me while I sagged with such relief and said "It was time I came home now" and I just sagged with relief and thought, "its over its over" and then (we're a part of ourselves, a lower frequency dumbed down, kept in the dark with a veil over our memories part of our Soul which apparently follows some rules and doesnt let us see more than we're allowed), but I was being held by Father and He was talking to my soul for a few minutes longer, and I just kept nodding and nodding and knew inside but wasn't allowed to know consciously what he was saying.

After that period, I believe, I was praying to Mother/Father, Creator, the Highest Love and Goodness in the Reality and Truth, and heard the Mother say, To Save The Children.

That evening after this, went outside, and there was a full moon with pink unusual clouds laying around the bottom and on both sides, Normally there are not colored clouds in the evening, when its dark. Then a gust of energy, it was imagining a huge gust of wind, that blows everythign up. This energetic thing occurred and the clouds moved and they became, two huge pink angel wings on both sides of the moon which was partly covered or not, I think it was resting on top of the clouds, but it didn't look like the moon, it was slightly golden more like the sun, for a while, then this energetic thing happened again, and it returned to normal.

I call those miracles.
