We are almost 16 trillion in debt so where did that money go. Someone got it and it did not go to buy another plane or an island. It is being used for something. The question is for what and where? If you can answer that then you will know where the chosen people will be holed up if an event happens. Anyone have any theories about that?

Wow. Just wow. I've got a friend here in michigan who commutes about 40 or 50 miles to school everyday. He's not a member of ats but he's into what we talk about here on this website. He told me a couple weeks back that he actually saw troops moving towards the north on his way back home one evening. Humvees, trucks, troops, and automatic weapons. The works. The very thought of that scares the the living daylights out of me. Just what the hell is happening in the world? I know there's a @#$% load of people in northern michigan and the upper peninsula with guns. This tension is thick.

This is a different time and a different age. This isn't going to happen.

Heres the problem with your assertion. History may change, but people don't. Throughout history governments have arisen, become complacent and then dissolved through various means. See "Ruins". Not one civilization is still standing today. Greed power, and oppression by people will always see to that.

Because there are more people living today doesn't lessen the odds, it increases it. Lets look at Egypt. Instant information internet was cited as one of the reasons they were able to organize like they did. They heard about Tunisia on the web and the enacted their own networking to organize rallies and demonstrations. The whole region is on fire as a result. A fire we (US) are helping to suppress by the way. Mubarak leaving has not changed a thing. Neither did Saddam, Quadafi, nor will Assad. You add the general civil disorders together with that in the "Euro Zone" and we can see just how pissed people are becoming. It's the same the world over.

This is why it is important to stay on top of the developing situation here in the US as well. The changes to civil rights legislation, increases in police brutality and authorization to violate civilians rights are all just the beginning. You add the result of Government corruption, bank fraud, job loss and foreclosure rates, as well as the privatization of Americas prison system, stiff sentences... need I go on?

People feel isolated, dispossessed, and disenfranchised. They are tired of over controlled, and indifferent big government telling them they can't sell lemonade, download a file or not wear a seatbelt. And all the solutions to the problems are just more laws that stifle the people even more. See where this is leading?

When I hear about large ammunition purchases for states police forces, Fema camps and then Field Manuals describing internment and reeducation, I know what time it is. Not yet, but soon enough we will go down the same road as the Romans, the Nazis and the Soviets. It is inevitable.

However I choose neither side in this coming conflict. If I become a revolutionary I fall into the states trap. Thats what they are looking for. They can't wait to pounce on "terrorists". That feeds their justification for more control. And I am not going to turn my neighbors in either when it comes to that. I am not going to pay taxes either, or own a car or a home. That way you see, I stay human. Oversimplification this is of course. I am not edumacated like others... just seeing it for what it is.

I just want to point out that what the DHS is doing is completely constitutional.
The government is given the right to quell any rebellion in the constitution.

What's going on in Syria is actually approved of in our constitution. The government can do anything to stop a rebellion per the constitution.

All the military has to do is tell the soldiers that some radicals are threatening our "democracy" and they will shoot citizens. Not all, but many. They are trained to do this. They are trained to protect the constitution and our corrupt democracy.

I don't agree with any of this, but it IS constitutional.

I sure hope there is an uprising. Humans need a purpose, not a false sense of the "American Dream". My dream is a revolution over the ignorant. If that means fighting my own people to prove a point.....so be it. Stupid humans buy cigarettes and drink alcohol every day. Pray to a God they cant see and have no proof of. Go to school and work their whole life, just to retire at age 50 + and take a cruise to Alaska, then die of a heat disease.

Since the elections are already rigged, and the outcome certain, an announcement of a cancellation would be the signal for a general uprising. before that, there would likely be sporadic "unrest" in various places, but a cancellation of the elections would create a huge and general disturbance. i can't think of another time in the 236 year history of the US when elections were cancelled.
