he solar system is passing through an interstellar cloud that physics says should not exist. In the Dec. 24th issue of Nature, a team of scientists reveal how NASA's Voyager spacecraft have solved the mystery.

"Using data from Voyager, we have discovered a strong magnetic field just outside the solar system," explains lead author Merav Opher, a NASA Heliophysics Guest Investigator from George Mason University. "This magnetic field holds the interstellar cloud together and solves the long-standing puzzle of how it can exist at all."

The discovery has implications for the future when the solar system will eventually bump into other, similar clouds in our arm of the Milky Way galaxy

These observations show that our Sun is moving through a Local Interstellar Cloud as this cloud flows outwards from the Scorpius-Centaurus Association star forming region. Our Sun may exit the Local Interstellar Cloud during the next 10,000 years.

Not too worried.. exactly 0% of these "calamity" theories come to fruition. They don't have what I'd call a good track record in that regard.

Nothing like a higher population and extensive media coverage to make it seem like the world is falling apart. The planet has always had ups and down as far as natural occurrences go, doesn't mean the world is about to explode. The nicest thing about 2013 when it rolls around, will be the calming down of the ridiculous masses who feel the world is going to end. Of course, we'll have to deal with the "omg our math was wrong, it's in a year!" folks for awhile, but there will always be disaster theories.. not much we can do about it.. other than inject reasoning into the proceedings, and not panic.

That video was nearly terrifying, though very necessary. I believe we are trully living in biblical times, whether people believe it or not. Many "strange" events are happening in this world and all should pay attention to what is unfolding and live their lives to their fullest.

I too though have witnessed some strange anomalies at my previous workplace. I was outside smoking a ciggarette one very windy and cloudy day when I seen this blueish orb of light shoot down from the sky and appear to land behind the house in front of me. At the time I thought it was a meteor. I froze for a moment, expecting to hear a loud BOOM. Eventually I went back inside when nothing happened and told everybody about it. THEY ALL LAUGHED AT ME. Luckily though, minutes later, two of my fellow co-workers arrived from downtown and said that somekind of light fell from above them when they were driving. They said before it hit the ground it immediatly changed its course and shot back up to the sky. At that time everyone else was totally interested in what THEY had to say. Once I noticed that, I stood up and shouted "F*** ALL OF YOU!!!!!" They made me feel like an idiot, so in return I made them feel guilty. A week later i saw nine more of those same "orbs" racing across some mountains on the news. Of course though, no one i tell this to believes me. Go figure.
One more thing, at my old workplace, a few fellow co-workers and I had heard strange noises from under the ground (like in the video) and also strange flashes in the sky. VERY BIZAAR thats for sure.

Allah is fair and he warns all before the coming of tribulation on the disbelievers, and for the believers it will be a relief as Imam Mahdi (as) time nears.

Allah gives everyone a chance, so that in judgement day nobody can deny that they were not warned..

Thank You! This is very imformative! I was not aware of such current issues going on all over the world. I am trying to keep up with birds falling out of the sky and other animal issues. How much has to happen before others actually start to take notice. I am thankful for this site! Sometimes we will know ahead of time when something happens way before the news ever releases the information.

the footage of storm destruction starting midway thru @ 10:00 is just horrific. cant imagine it worse than that... yet it's likely to GET worse than that, we are only in the 1st quarter of 2012- imagine the rest!

And, at the risk of irritating some out here. Those feelings that "something is about to happen" have been around for at least a few millenia. See all the hoo hah over the Mayan calendar, and the hoo hah over Y2K... A "few" years ago, just to mention a couple of them.

I believe I can say, without fear of being back handed, that some day this will all come to an end. However, I do not believe that it can be predicted with any accuracy... At least, not now.

Don't think I'm trying to be a nay-sayer! This is really an interesting thread. I do, however, believe that in discussions like this, we should try to keep everyone honest.

I have been preparing for this my entire life. ever since I was in my teens I used to say weird things like the earth is going to tilt and change, bear in mind back then there was no internet I was not into ”new age ” thinking or learning. These were things that would suddenly just come out of my mouth, and everyone including my family thought I was crazy I've also had the belief that the earth is a sentient being for many years before I recently seen the news articles on it

I do have to agree with you and you are right. One day this will all end, its natural law that nothing lasts forever. There is a part of me that believes our world will not "end" anytime soon (however it may be very different than how it is now); Edgar Cayce and other great Seers through the centuries had predicted major Earth changes but never really predicted complete human extinction at any time in the near future. ALTHOUGH, the rest of me knows that it would be very unwise to ignore the signs that are right in front of are eyes. I just pray that if it does happen, that I, as well with everyone else, will be at peace with myself and my choices and not die with guilt or regret.

By chance have you watched this video/lecture I keep posting? I wish someone who was interested in this subject (like me) would watch the entire lecture and talk with me about it. I watched it three times and it amazes me each time. Granted, she doesn't create an end of the world scenario. She actually speaks about the changes we are and will experience.

I feel like all of humanity has been leading up to these moments, I still don't know exactly what is going to happen but I feel like the sun and our magnetic field has 90% to do with it. I'm just ready to get it over with and see what happens next. Hopefully it's a lot better than this life because I really don't know how much longer I can deal with this anymore.

the dolphines are beaching theirselves i believe because the water is still bad from the oil spill, that everyone has forgotten about, or they are coming out of the water because of what is in the water....i believe those images of the sun are fake and meant to instill fear in us all just like the weird sounds and cloud formations, the triangle represents illumnatti,the all seeing eye, the pyrimids....the planes that hit the towers were holigrams, they can make anything look real......u cant always believe what u hear or see....the eyes can be deceiving.....
