Time to let this one go. The dirt that kid was involved in and the past history of the shooter are going to boil in front of the grand jury.

The end result is going to be a wanna be ganster thug and a wanna be cop thug were both involved in stupidity that cost a life.

Both could have called and reported to the police and then gotten away from it. If you have strangers slinging dope in your neighborhood, let the real cops know and let them handle it. Assuming they are stealing is defective thinking.

How anyone looks, shouldn't enter the picture. But the media and the govt were involved in a lie to make hate.

Race, race,race....This is the 3rd thread in the last 2 days dealing with racial issues. You are buying into racism. TPTB want us separated because that way we can be controlled easier. If a white, black, navy blue kid is dressed like a thug than more than likely he is a thug. What about the parents that see no wrong in their child, and let them dress this way. When I see a kid dressed with his underwear showing I ask him who his boyfriend is. This dress style started in prisons as a way to tell other inmates that they are someone's girl.

What is the marketing expense for ATS in the Appalachian region? I think there are a disproportionate amount of hillbillies on this website at times.

As an Arkansas "hillbilly" I think this comment is inappropriate to say the least. You are entitled to your opinion but a person's geographical location is not always a direct indicator to their intelligence level, anymore so than a person's race or choice of attire represent the actual person. No harm done though, as I am secure in my education and have thicker skin than most.

I will say this. Mr. Zimmerman was not a police officer. He has not authority to stop, talk, follow or bother anyone on a public street at night. The best and only thing this man should of done was call the "real" police, tell them what he saw and moved on. The only thing he could of done was become the best witness.

Unfortunatly, the young boy was not committing a crime, he was not even loitering in a place. He was walking down the street in the rain. It was Mr. Zimmerman's decision to follow the boy and carry a gun while doing it.

Now if Mr. Zimmerman had not followed the boy and waited for the police to arrive this would have been handled in an official capacity. A report would have been written and everyone would have been happy. Instead we had some fool decide he was the law and took it into his own hands and they both paid the price.

There is something wrong with people who think they can just shoot unarmed people in the street. There is something wrong with all of you.

He killed an unarmed person. He should be in jail awaiting trial. Right now, in florida, he would be a threat to me and my family walking around like that.

Just face the facts my friend, young Black males commit the majority of violent crimes, mainly upon other black males. Where is the outrage in the Black community about this and the 27 murders in chicago last month. Call it what it is, the Black community needs to start taking care of their own, Is it the white mans fault that they committ these crimes BS, I have many Black friends that are disgusted by the total lack of respect and morals in the Black youth and youth in general. What happened here was a tradegy, young life wasted, but if this young man would have had some respect and stopped and ex[plained himself to Zimmerman he would most likely be alive today.

Here is the main problem with your thread. It ignores the basic facts of this entire incident. This quote is directly from ABC news.

It also go on to state that Zimmerman was carrying a firearm which was not encouraged to do so, by the neighborhood watch handbook. Race really doesn't even need to be a topic in this whole discussion. With all the evidence in front of you, do you believe that Trayvon really deserved to be killed?

On the other hand, there a town in NW Ark that, on the back of their "Welcome to.." sign, was painted, "Nigger don't let the sun set on you in this town"... that was there for... 10 years at least...
