How many arrest were made on direct calls made to aurhorites from George Zimmerman? I mean I don't think the police arrested the garbage in the road...maybe they came over and shut the garage door.

I was under the impression that thugs carried guns on them and basically terrorized their neighborhoods...The only person Ive seen fitting that description is Zimmerman.

Since when have we ever heard of an unarmed 'thug'....i love how if one person is packing heat they are a thug, if another one is packing heat they are a hero......

And it was never a fair fight, Treyvon, being a law abiding citizen wasn't carrying a gun, because by law he couldn't carry a concealed weapon....so maybe we should change gun laws to allow teenagers to conceal as well.

Lets just say a child is walking home from school and someone tries to kidnap them, I know, I want my child armed with a gun to defend themselves. If we have learned anything from this is that screaming for help will not save your life. I am advocating arming all school children from kindergarten to high school all be armed in case they ever have to 'stand their ground' against a predatory adult.

Anyone have any issues with that?

He *was* being a law abiding citizen until he assaulted zimmerman. Im not against people carrying guns at all. If they are old enough to drive a car i don't know why they couldn't use a gun.

1. you posted this ....'Everyone needs to take a few deep breaths and realize that the only real victim is George Zimmerman.' You have already given Zimmerman the benefit of the doubt just becuase HE said he was attacked. His history suggests that he attacked. He has assaulted a police officer resisting arrest, sentenced to anger management, and domestic violence charges. You can not assume his automatic innocence if you are taking this into account. that is what is called discounting Zimmermans past.
2.You have no proof he 'swung' at a bus driver or any other claims. We do however have proof Zimmerman has an aggressive past. Just another example of how you discount Zimmermans past and use Treyvons against him.
3. Posting 911 calls does not answer that question. Ill ask again. How many of those 911 call resulted in any action from the police or arrests of any suspects? Him calling 911 means nothing, he called on Treyvon and 8 other black males.

Actually its on you guys to prove he did not get attacked...thought you knew the rules...hes innocent till proven guilty, and its the prosecutions job to prove that he was not attacked and shot him for no reason, which might be why they still have not even pressed charges...cause they cant...

They got busted altering the story too many times. First they reported Zimmerman was white and that this was racially motivated- which was wrong, then they got busted playing edited versions of the 911 calls and then finally the witness who saw martin on top of zimmerman could not really be covered up any longer. They realized the story was a loser from the get go.
I would not be surprised if a DA wanted to still bring zimmerman up on charges to look good, the case would still get thrown out on appeal on the basis that it was justified according to the law.

2. That is he said only...that proves nothing again. You will never get that.
3. Again, prove he assaulted Zimmerman, you can't, just like I can't prove Treyvon didn't....that is one of the main points. Zimmerman is not proof as much as you want him to be.
4. What difference does it make. I want my child to be able to defend themselves against a predatory adult. Don't you want your child safe? If Treyvon could have carried a concealed weapon maybe he could ha defend himself against attack, or maybe if zimmerman knew teenagers could also pack heat he wouldn't have had so much confidence that night. children should be able to protect themselves, I think we would all agree.
5. What is stupid is a law that says all you have to say is 'I was defending myself' and then you are allowed to shoot to kill. That is no absurd than arming children to protect themselves. Children are people too and many times victims. why shouldn't a child be able to 'stand their ground'.....

Maybe SYG should be rewritten to say 'if you kill and unarmed juvenile' then stand your ground does not apply and you must be charged with a crime. Treyvon martin never had the chance to defend himself based on the law....zimmerman always had the upper hand. You can't defend yourslf from bullets with your fist. the law is in favor of Zimmermans shooting juveniles and not having to be held accountable.
