I'm guessing that Cleveland Carr killed Dick Jacobs as ordered by Mrs. Orwell, based on this response and the note addressed to Cleveland Carr. For what reason is beyond me; perhaps because, as stated in the wire recording, Jacobs was "leaving quite the trail of bodies" and was compromising the plans of the knitting circle. Although I am confused because I thought that Mrs. Emerson was really close with Jacobs. Maybe Emerson did not know about Jacobs' planned death... my god this is hard to follow...

Yes, you type shaka. And I have just tested an extensive list of hand gestures and combinations and could not find any others (besides the ones that have been previously posted; thumbs up, fist bump, etc).

Yeah, if you consider rigorously throwing random words at a machine fun. I'm trying to be diligent but this game is making it very exasperating. Something better happen today or it will be the end of line for me. I'm excited but at the same time I have the feeling that I will more than likely be left empty and desolate....

I know the feeling. I've never been a fan of games where you can't progress until the gamemaster allows it to proceed. This game has been timed for weekends to maximize the participation during periods where people are more available. It began last Friday and everything that can be figured out without an update to the site (for the most part) was figured out in a couple of days.

And now, Illumination Day is again on a Friday after some people have become disinterested because of inactivity. And if it turns out to be a viral marketing thing as some have suggested, then the disappointment in the game is paramount.

But I'm still here!

Ok so i've read through and to be honest im still lost. I think most people are :/ , Im even on the twitter account watching and it seems to be very slow and not very active?. Also the knitting needles had blood on but no real answer's for it, But does acknowledge it so possibly a further answer?.

I've not worked out how to flick between diffrent keys though? Do i have to do it through a mobile?

Go back and read the thread. We've been over the year question numerous times.

Hey everyone. First time poster and, depending on what is revealed today, likely last time poster. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has compiled a list of the radio broadcast scripts. I didn't see mention of it in the thread, but they happen every half-hour, so all you need to do is adjust the clock on your computer accordingly. I don't know if they repeat or if there's 48 individual broadcasts, but it might be worth investigating.

When I get home from work this evening (and provided today's update doesn't prove to be a buzzkill) I'll start working on transcribing the broadcasts over on the tapjoint.wikia.com site.

The 0730 broadcast seems to be the same (after two listens). It mentions that it's a beautiful morning with a slight breeze and that there's a lumber shortage.

I'm not able to do it right now, but could someone ask "What is causing the lumber shortage" for me? Otherwise, I'll wait until I get to work.

I tried about 12 hours ago, it just said PQEENV......COMMAN.. and then i space bar to stop it. See, i'm starting to decipher the code without translating it it now! Reminds me of that scene in The Matrix

As policestate said, the lumber shortage is coming up a dud, No answers are given about it.

Just checked key 16 output @ 6:17 AM MST and still no fix on the "asdf,asdf" bug. So it's either tonight (see "Illumination Night is Near" Daylight article), or they're still gating key 16. Either way, I'm kind of losing steam

Note to game developers: If you're going to manually gate a collaborative game (especially an ARG), do so in smaller steps. I'm going to be so pissed if this is some cheesy marketing campaign. There's so much potential here.

Yes, this is obviously some sort of marketing, one with brilliant potential. As long as it is not for some product line, like a new AMP clothing brand, Grannys extra sharp knitting needles, or a cell phone that uses radio waves. If this is marketing for a story, then it has done a spectacular job of getting us involved. We are now patiently awaiting an event, We are the revolutionaries wrapped up in the lives and deaths of several individuals. We desperately need to hear from knobs and the word is spreading quickly. The wired magazine news article hit, and I'm sure that's just the beginning. We need 1000 Wave Unit Users to start this revolution. And if they do a television commercial during a popular show for illumination night, then we should see floods of followers. Keep watch, and be patient fellow revolutionaries.
