I've lost years to depression, and I think there is definitely a link between people who are very intelligent, very creative, or very imaginative, and this depression so many of us seem to struggle with. We know things could always be better, and subconsciously we are just aware enough to realize how trapped we are inside our own bodies. Being aware of the paranormal is enough to cause depression in a lot of us, not because it is in itself depressing, but we see amazing things and have to keep them suppressed for a myriad of reasons!

Reminds me of when I first shared my channeling experiences back in 2009. It took me a year to get up the nerve to tell very many people, and when I decided to bust it all out into the open one of my "friends" accused of doing ugly things, and even called me despicable. I had a hard time dealing with that, and for a while all I did was cry and keep everything else to myself. Then I remembered the difference between the words "friend" and "acquaintance," and realized I'd mistaken one for the other. I forgot one very important thing I tell everyone just beginning to experience paranormal things - be very discerning who you share yourself with! And the other thing I love to repeat is the saying about being yourself, no matter what... the people who matter won't mind, and the people who mind won't matter! Of course that's hard to do when the people you love most are not handling it well.

I never was around a ouija board when I was a kid (thankfully!) but when I recently shared some of my more moving experiences about helping two spirits to cross with my older sister (she's 19 years older, and we never got to know each other very well until a few years back), she told me she was worried about me, messing around with ouija boards and having seances to conjure up people. Apparently I need to dial back on my experiences with her, too...

I sympathize about sharing with others. I have been talking to a therapist about some other issues and I made the mistake of mentioning some paranormal experiences to explain some of my behavior. That immediately moved me into a crazier category in her evaluation. In another case, I asked my priest for some help interpreting some experiences that involved religious symbols. Later I realized that he was telling other people in church for no reason except to get a few chuckles. My sister is an M.D. and I tried to discuss some of these things with her, because I thought I might have a blockage in my brain. She just listened politely, but I could tell what she was thinking about me. Even people who have experienced these things themselves have a hard time giving others a serious hearing.

Why does the mainstream continue to ridicule the paranormal and deny reality? To keep our minds away from the truth? and to keep us wrapped up in their greed driven rat race?

Will share one; Was in nursing. Had a old lady that was dying. I took really good care of her, really gave her the special queen treatment, loving and caring - she was very nice.

Well, I had the weekend off but told her I would see her Monday first thing.

She was bedridden, couldn't get out of bed if the building was on fire.

That Monday, I walked in and there were a few plastic chairs outside her room in the hallway with her sitting on one.

I ran up and sat down by her, touched her............TOUCHED HER.

I told her not to move, I would get help and we would get her back to bed.

She said, "I just wanted to tell you thank you for being so nice to me." I told her don't move, you could fall, we will help you back to bed and ran to the nurses station very close by and told them "hurry help me Mrs X is out of bed in a chair."

They looked at me very strange and said, "Mrs X passed away recently."

I told my two co nurses what she said and then ran back, she was gone, her bed was empty and made up.

My two nursing partners told me they believed me, that I was known for being truthful and reality based and Mrs X probably just wanted me to know she was grateful.

I sat next to her and she seemed as real as the keyboard I am typing on. And no I didn't do drugs, drink or have psyche problems.

Ghost?

Unfinished business?

She was a very nice lady - and yes again, I touched her arm, it felt real, not a transparent misty apparition.

In the blink of an eye the chairs were again empty.

AMAZING!
So glad you decided to share one of your stories with us.
We are all open-minded here, if you would like to share more, this is the one place you can do it and not be ridiculed. We all have had some "far out there" experiences, from what I've read so far.

Thanks again.

I'd rather share my experience in my own thread when i'm able, if that's no problem. And i'll send you the psychic's e-mail via pm. It'll probably take a day or so to respond to you so don't be disappointed by lack of immediate response.

Actually I think it's because people feel threatened. It's comforting to think you have a good grip on reality, you've learned what you need to know in any particular field, and that's all there is. If someone suggests new ideas that would shake your perception of reality and require you to reconsider so much of what you "knew" to be fact, it brings up defensive feelings and fears, so most people shut it away from them by ridiculing it (or the messenger!). When those radical upstarts from hundreds of years ago started saying the world was round, when it was "obviously" flat, they were ridiculed and discredited by their peers and the majority of society. Asking a person to consider ideas radically different from their own is asking them to admit they might possibly be wrong, and to many people, that is very threatening in itself.

All my life I just knew there were four of us siblings, and then all of a sudden I found out there was a fifth. It rocked my worked for a while and I had to accept this new reality, but instead of it becoming something to be upset over, I saw it as more of a bonus to find out there's someone else in my reality... kind of like an extra special treat.

Instead of being threatened by every new finding in paranormal research, mainstream scientists COULD look at our experiences as something of a bonus, something brand new to study. And contrary to what some people think, opening your mind doesn't involve any physical pain. I don't think anyone has died from opening their mind! Maybe there should be a new branch of counselors... trained in the mainstream sciences, but also schooled in paranormal experiences... maybe I should go ahead and start on that bachelors degree!

SORRY for the reply ending up in this post, but I'm still trying to learn everything on here!!! Can't get it to seperate from the quote... BUT anyway...

Thank you so much for sharing this... it makes me wonder about the full-body apparitions I've seen. If I could go back in time now, I'd love to see if maybe they were solid. They disappeared so fast though, I probably still couldn't make a move before they'd be gone. I do feel you were extremely blessed to have this experience, and that sweet lady wasn't about to leave you hanging without saying goodbye and thanking you for everything you did for her. Bless you for doing that!

About those full-body apparitions I mentioned - one was in the hall of a community college I attended. It was after classes one night, and I was reading the job postings inside one of those glass cases you see hanging on walls. Only the basic lights were on, meaning one in about every 5 or 6, so I had to almost press my nose against the glass to read the job listings. I suddenly noticed, about 10 feet away to my left, a male student standing there staring at me. Casually out of the corner of my eye, I looked him up and down to get a good description of him in case he did anything threatening. He was over 6 feet tall, heavy set, short black hair and those big black plastic frame glasses (I call them Buddy Holly glasses), he had on blue jeans and a navy t-shirt, and he had a maroon backpack. He was beginning to make me nervous, just standing there and not saying anything, so I turned my head to say something, and he just wasn't there. It was a long hallway, he couldn't have moved anywhere or he would have made some kind of sound, plus I would have seen the movement.

The second one I saw, I just happened to have a co-worker with me. We were trying to figure out where something was, and we both turned our heads as we saw someone walk by our door, going toward the left. We just caught him as he disappeared past the doorway - dark shirt, grayish slacks, and kind of a loafer shoe. I said, "Oh, there's Lou;" my co-worker said, "He'll know where it is." We both go into the hallway (which was about three steps away) and no one was there. Our office was at the end of the hallway, and to our left was heavy doors that were alarmed at the time. The other side of the hallway was open due to construction and remodeling. As quick as we took three steps, the "person" had completely disappeared. We both were thrilled to have seen a full-body apparition when there was a witness to back each other up. That's always a huge bonus - then it's not just your word against the world!

Stephen King calls this phenomena the Todash Chimes.

"...enough to fill my basket," he thought, as he was flung weightless through the darkness, pulled by the terrible sound of the todash chimes.

From the Dark Tower series. Whether this is relevant at all to you I don't know, but when I read your story and the others like it, I instantly thought of this reference.

Great thread here btw, still reading, enjoying it very much, hope to include some of my own small experiences perhaps and join discussion on others!

Thank you for the link, and thank you for the positive feedback. We look forward to hearing your stories. Things are just now starting to slow down a bit. I'm sure there are many others out there with stories, but some people are too afraid of being ridiculed to share. That's okay...... I understand.

I remember when i was around 7 or 8 years old,i use to sleep over my great grandmothers house all the time and there was a girl next door the same age as i was and we use to play together outside in the woods all the time...

One sunny and warm autumn morning we walked really far out into the woods exploring like we always did and then we started to feel tired,so we layed down beneath a grove of tall oak trees and quickly fell asleep...

We both awakened at the same time about three hours later and while still laying down,we excitedly started telling eachother about both of us having dreams of elves and faries...

But when we stood up and looked around, there were acorns laying all over the ground that were not there when we layed down and fell asleep and there were hundreds of them everywhere beneath those oak trees, only these were not regular acorns, these acorns were colored and they were swirled with every color of the rainbow, red, orange, yellow, purple, blue and green all mixed close together like a tie dyed shirt or one of those clear rubber superballs with different colors inside that they use to sell in gumball machines....

We couldnt believe what we were looking at and we hurriedly ran back and forth filling our pockets with many dozens of those strange colored acorns. Then we walked home with them really fast, ran into the house to show my grandmother and her visiting sister, took them out of our pockets,to see that they had somehow all turned into their usual dull greens and browns, the rainbow colors were gone and i have never seen or heard of acorns like those acorns ever again...

And so no one else ever saw them,we were told we were seeing things and we were never even able to get a photograph of those rainbow colored acorns, something i have always regretted and often thought about for the past thirty years or so...

I read a book by Sylvia Brown where she was telling about riding somewhere in a forest with some man that was taking her to her destination. She had looked toward the back of the vehicle for some reason, and when she turned around there was an elf sitting on the hood of her car. I think it was an elf; it might have been a fairy. It's been a couple of years since I read the book so I can't remember which it was. Anyway, she was astonished and asked the driver if he saw it? He said yes, they were always all over the forest.
So....... I think anything is possible, and your dream probably wasn't a dream at all. They left the rainbow acorns to prove it!
An Amazing story!

www.youtube.com...

This video from the series Ancient Aliens talks about the 3 different types of ETs, evidence of them being here long ago, and inter-breeding with humans, and why they may be here. The reptilian species reminded me of the earlier post where a half-human, half-scaled creature was seen coming out of the ocean! Very interesting!
