Once when i was around thirteen yeras old,i heard a powerful and very loud crash and bang sound on the roof of a single story house where i was babysitting two small kids one night, that came without warning and shook the living room we were in and sent the two little kids i was watching running out of the room in tears yelling to me,what was that !? what was that!? again and again and when i looked outside on the roof with a flashlight, there was nothing there, nothing on the ground and no marks on the roof...

When i was sixteen years old,i sensed an invisible presence in my bedroom at night, that seemed to move closer to me,then felt invisible lips kiss the side of my face, along with a breath of warm air from the mouth of something that seemed very female...

One hot and sunny summer afternoon,i saw a strange half human creature swimming horizontally through and against the oncoming ocean waves at nantasket beach,as my mother walked back to the car,i stayed behind in-tranced by what i was looking at,when i was around 5yrs old...

Half human creature? What did the other half appear to be? Very interesting!
It was a human sized man who appeared to be half fish or shark, with a row of fins running down the middle of his back, kind of like the gill man monster from the movie, creature from the black lagoon, only with a more human looking face. This man/fish did'nt look like a mermaid and it was swimming rather quickly about 70 feet out in front of me from left to righ, horizontally through the oncoming waves, which were around 3 feet high and i doubt any human could do that.Even then,i knew what i was looking at was'nt human and even now i can still see it in my minds eye.It was definitely burnt into my memory, which is photographic anyways...

That's what I thought for years myself until I came across a thread was pretty informative. Lead me to believe that he was a Tulpa since his creation went through the same steps. I am guessing so because it seemed to have worked in the end. Something I read a few weeks ago said that if you stop feeding it that they should disappear if given some time. He did so it must be true.
Ufos, bigfoot, ghosts and other such "things" may also be psychic thought forms that we are unknowingly projecting into our reality from the individual subconsciousness of a person and from the collective subconsciousness of humanity and as soon as we enetered the nuclear age and aquired the ability to destroy ourselves, those and other "things" have been manifesting themselves more and more frequently, creatures and entities, greater than us,larger than life, that we subconsciously desire to come here and save us from our selves...

And thats may also be why ufos and bigfoot especially are more often than not seen in waves and flaps.First one sighting or encounter is reported, then as "more people start thinking about it" numerous sightings and encounters start occurring all over and then as less and less people "think" about it,they slowly fade away...

This isn't a paranormal experience, but I found it interesting and so I'll share anyway.

Couple of years ago my husband and I were looking to buy a new house. While we were with a realtor, visiting a potential home, I jokingly asked her if she knew of any haunted houses. I was just goofing off, but her answer surprised me.

She said that under NC real estate law, she was required to reveal anything and everything up front; this mandate included the possibility of a house being haunted.

Now isn't that interesting!
I wonder if that law was passed because of the "amityville" haunted house, which is in new york and purchased by people who lived to wish they never did?

It was about 7:30, and we were both in the living room. Mom was watching a show on television and I was reading a book.

This night, although we weren't using the machines, the door was shut.

Suddenly, without warning, we heard a loud BANG in the pantry. It startled us both. Mom turned off the tv and I put down my book, then we just looked at each other.

The next sound we heard was rather strange. Have you ever dropped a plastic bowl, like a Tupperware bowl? If you drop it just right, the bowl will spin around on its edge, making a very distinctive noise. That's what we heard. Then came the sound of breaking glass. It honestly sounded like someone was throwing glass everywhere. You could hear the pieces shattering, then rehitting the floor. It was extremly loud.

By this time about 30 seconds had passed. Mom ran for the phone. I ran for my dad's shotgun.

While Mom was on the phone with the police, I ran through the house and flipped on every light, including the outside porch lights. I was also shouting "We're calling the police!" and "I've got a gun!" at the top of my voice. The gun wasn't loaded, I had no idea where the bullets where and even if I knew I probably couldn't have loaded the thing, but it still felt nice to have in my hands.

The entire time Mom is talking and I'm shouting, the breaking noises continue. If anything, they escalate.

We were both standing at the junction of the living room and kitchen, Mom with the phone and me with the gun, waiting for whoever it was to open the door and enter the kitchen. That door wasn't locked, and frankly that was a very flimsy door. It would have been child's play to break it open.

About five minutes into the event, the sounds just....stopped. Completely.

I wanted to put my "very similar" experience next to yours...

Two possibilities come to mind...

When someone or something enters our reality from another dimension, doing that creates a type of sonic boom, like some kind of localized shock wave...

And/or...

We were hearing the ghostly sounds of things that really happened where we heard them a long time ago.For instance, the sound that i heard might have been the ghostly sound of when a tree during a storm fell against the roof in the past and perhaps the sounds were made even before the house was built, but on the same location...

I did ask one to leasve - he showed up later, and mainly stayed in one bedroom. I ended up using that one for storage, and never was comfortable in there. A friend of mine who is psychic told me it was a middle aged male who considered that his room, and didn't want anyone else in it. By this time I was so uncomfortable with that room I couldn't leave the door open. He told me to say firmly that this was my house now, he wasn't of this world any more, and he needed to leave. I did that repeatedly over a few weeks, until eventually I could leave the door open and not feel weird when I walked by. As for the elderly couple, I never asked them to leave. I respected them for checking on the house, because I loved - still love that house, even though I lost it last year. I visit it myself quite often, driving by to see if anybody is taking care of it yet. Those ghosts or spirits weren't doing me any harm, and I never felt threatened by them... except the door being unlocked, and I have a theory about that. I bet if I could dig back through 911 records, there would be an emotionally-charged call placed around 1 in the morning when the couple lived there, and the door had to be unlocked to let paramedics in. I guess I'm weird, and apparently in the minority, by never telling them to leave. I felt like they had as much right there as I did, in some way. I only felt curiosity from them, like "Who's that in that room?" I couldn't be mean to them when they hadn't been mean to me!

I've read of other people's experiences with Tulpas, and even if they're created with the best of intentions, it seems they are sometimes used by not-so-nice entities to create havoc. I'm happy to hear you are stronger than this one thought you were!

I don't know about that... ufos go back thousands of years, and they're not a recent phenomena. And the majority of people on here who have seen ufos have not mentioned making an official report... I think the flare ups of reports could be that more people are talking about what they've seen, they're ridiculed, and they clam up again. Just because you see it, don't mean you're going to file a report on it!

Of course I should have clicked on "Quote" for that last reply to blocula... sorry about that! I was talking about the UFO mass sightings thing possibly being due to more people thinking about it, then slowly fading away as they stop thinking about it. I'll try to remember the "Quote" button next time... but at least I figured out how to put a smiley on here!

Cool threads! I read some about the flashes of light in the sky. Did you ever find out what it was?
I'll have to read more topics later. I work 3rd shift, so I have to get to bed now.
Thanks for sharing!

Another experience:

About five years ago I was sitting alone in my office at work ( I work third shift). My office has windows all around it. There is a room on the left of one side of windows, and another room on the right with a brick wall separating the two rooms down the middle of my windows. Both rooms have night lights so it isn't completely dark. I looked up to the left area outside the windows, and saw this gray mist forming in mid-air out in the open area. Then it came flying very fast in through the windows of my office, went over the top of my head, and went out into the area on the right side, and disappeared. I felt the wind on my hair as it passed over me! I sat there unable to move for a brief time because it happened so fast I had to absorb what just happened.
It was only a couple of minutes before my relief person came to give me a break... thank goodness! I didn't tell them what had happened because I didn't want to leave them down there being terrified!

There was a person who committed suicide in the area where the mist formed back in the late 90's, from what I've been told. His ghost has been seen by many people who work there.

Another time when I was sitting in my office I heard knocking on the bathroom door in my office. No, it wasn't pipes! I called my supervisor and told them they had better get someone to come down there and stay with me, or I was leaving. They had someone there in less than a minute.

Other people have seen doors open by themselves, posters being "yanked" off the wall, a mist floating in the air, and one person saw a full-body apparition run through the office while he was out in one of the areas from the office. He searched, but no one was there, and he (the ghost) couldn't have ran into the adjacent room because someone was coming in that room at the time, and he said no one came out of the office on that side.

People have come out of that working area so scared by what they saw, they were crying. And some people absolutely refuse to work in that particular area.

I love it when people that laugh at others who claim to have seen
"something" over there get a dose of the ghost for themselves when they are there! I just smile to myself with satisfaction that the ghost "got them"!

I know what you mean! I've had people ridicule me over and over, and I tell them, "I hope one grabs you in the butt one day!!!" Seriously though, I kind of feel for these people too, because we've already been "schooled" to some degree. They will have to start fresh with their first experience, and deal with the emotional upheaval that comes with it. There's a huge learning curve in front of them, once they get their grip back on reality. Which is one reason I feel so strongly about trying to help people deal with their experiences, sort of a different "spiritual" counseling. The desire is in me, but the moolah is not in my bank! I'd want to get some sort of education on counseling, and not just jump in and possibly do more harm than good. Helping kids is big on my list of goals too, and I'm not about to just hang a shingle without knowing what I'm doing. No one should come to me if I did that, anyway - it's not ethical (IMO).

One night when i was around fifteen years old,i was fully awake and laying on my stomach in the dark. When all of a sudden i felt an evil presence in my bedroom that i knew was moving closer to me.Then i became paralyzed and my lower body from the waist down levitated about six inches off the bed and was held there for a few minutes and i was so afraid that it felt like my soul was being pulled out of my body. Then "it" suddenly dropped me and i didnt dare move or fall asleep until the morning sunlight came through the window, about six hours later...

never got a definate conclusion but, from other threads in the last 2 weeks leads me to believe it was a flare.

One of my supervisors used to make fun of us when we told of an experience with the ghost.
One night she was outside by herself, and she said this huge black ball formed in mid-air about 15 yards from her, and came barreling toward her. She was too scared to move! She said it got to her and just disappeared. She never laughed at us again! That tickled me pink!
We still have a few more who need to experience it, though.
I think a spiritual counselor would be a great job! I'd like to get into that myself.

I have been reading this thread from the beginning, however, I was without my computer for a couple weeks there.

I have not read every last page, but I have read the majority of them. Wow, wow and wow!!!
It is sooo good to know that you're not alone!

I had sent sled735 a u2u some weeks ago and had mentioned that I would be most curious to know if the people who have been life long experiencers have anything in common. Like age, sex, location, and ancestral back grounds. Just really peaked my interest when I started reading some of the stories on here. Do we have anything in common or is it just random?

I'll go first... 40 year old female from the Midwest USA, Scottish, Native American Indian and a little bit of French.

Do any of you have children that have similar experiences?

I have written of a few of my experiences on ATS and it is these types of experiences that brought me here in the first place. Like many others, either seeking answers or some sort of unknown validation.

I wonder if any any of the people who have posted experiences here in this thread, first messed around with ouija boards, seances ect,ect before their paranormal happenings occurred? and the fact that ouija boards were sold for decades as a board game and a toy,is very disturbing...
