That's true. Only thing you dumb grunts know is "pull trigger, gun go boom, enemy dead. Yay!"

I'm just kidding, but I see your point.

Some people might be enjoying it a bit too much. You are not the reaper.

Then good for "some people"
Doesn't change the fact that's what our job is

Your job is to protect the United States of America from enemies both foreign and domestic. You may have to kill if necessary, your job is not exclusively to kill. There are other essential facets to the job.

A culture of death is not going to help you win a war, it's going to twist the hearts and minds of youth who look up to you.

We're trained to kill. Simple as.
We aren't the Army.

We don't get sent in unless something needs to be shot.

Fair enough. Although It's one thing to have to kill, and quite another to create a culture around it. I worry about youth these days. The few people who have posted questionable pictures and video's on the internet need to be shaken back to reality.

Not all though. It would be unfair to paint with broad brush strokes. There's always a few bad apples that spoil the lot. Some people are unable to flick the switch back to off, and carry with them a bad mentality which leads to a toxic culture.

I support troops, not the bad ones.

Do I have to be the first to say it?

Certain battalions that are deployed ARE in fact nazis. They believe in American exceptionalism and that any other race or culture should be exterminated and they in fact enjoy doing the extermination.

I believe any remaining non-corrupt platoons will probably in the end have to exterminate the nazi scum battalions and I can't wait until they do.

Good to hear brother.

And I wasn't questioning your loyalty in the slightest.

Well, I think the thread is officially off topic and I have a craps game to travel to.

I bid you good evening.

I think it's time to bring our troops home. They obviously don't have a respect for human life. So let's get them home, because I'm sure they'll find other ways to screw up, maybe killing innocent women and children, oh I forgot they already did that.

I'm with you.
I'm not part of the bad bunch. Haven't fought a war, haven't killed a man, don't think it's something awesome or something to brag about.

But I'm willing to only if it needs to be done. Someone has to, that's why I signed up.

Like I said earlier in the thread, only certain people find their way to ATS in the first place

That Marine snipers use skulls in their logos to represent death because they are trained to kill. Do you have trouble reading what was being replied to?

What is your point?

I respect their skills, but there is no courage in being a sniper IMO.

Snipers are a vital tool for various purposes including special missions and protecting fellow servicemen, but I don't agree with the concept. But most of you will call me a peace loving hippie for not being down with the war mongering.

No courage behind being a sniper?? Obviously you have no idea what they do. I guess you figure they walk up the stairs of an abandoned building Clint Eastwood style, kick back and plug a few soildiers moving around 400 meters away. Quite the contrary.

When snipers are put in place, they do so months before the skirmish or action breaks, except on TV. These kids move into position and relay vital information back for weeks that is usually responsible for saving lives. They are camoflauged and sometimes are only allowed to move feet or inches the entire day. It is the most dangerous forward position to be in because you are usually operating alone or in a very small group and you are usually behind enemy lines in a forward position amongst the enemy and heavily outnumbered. Due to being a sniper if they are caught death is certain, torture is the norm and body recovery is often never and in pieces if ever. Think our government wants to report that information on the 6:00pm news.

There is no safe place in the military if you are in a combat role. I don't care if you are in a B-52 carpet bombing at supersonic speed at 50,000 ft. It's dangerous and it takes guts.

Always remember, governments start wars. Governments are elected, if you don't like war don't vote in people that will start one. Don't blame the people that do the fighting, be happy they are willing to sign up so you don't have to. If you want peace then fight for it, that is your battle at home and most troops hope and pray that people back home are fighting for that so they too can come home.

I have read some posts on ATS where people blame US Servicemen for signing up to go kill. That is not why the majority sign-up and most of those that do are not able to pass the psychological screening and are released. Many sign up to find a better life, to get help getting an education that wealthier people can afford to buy without the sacrifice. They want to have some purpose and they want to represent their country. All countries have militaries. These kids want to believe their government is not sending them into worthless conflicts even though that happens. They want to believe they are putting their lives on the line and being away from their family for a meaningful purpose.

Let's keep the accountability where it belongs and it is not on the backs of the boots on the ground, in the air or on the water! Get out and assemble and vote so that peace and integrity of government can come back to the forefront and our troops can come home and we can quit spending money we don't have on trumped up "national security threat conflicts."

I also want to appologize to Corruption Exposed. My comments to you were only about the sniper, the rest is just me getting started. Peace

I find it truly amazing how easily people get offended these days. So they were used by the nazis, so what, that doesn't mean they idolize the nazis. its a cool font that stands for sniper scout, get over it.

We are in agreeance then. You must have missed the entire first half of the thread where I was solely commenting on the flag before the discussion of killing was continued by anti military bigots.
