They were blamed for killing millions of Jews, indeed.

But given even the plaque commemorating the holocaust in Poland has been changes from 4 million victims to 1.5 million - without donning a 'holocaust denier', M1935 ϟϟ helmet - I'd be careful to appropriate culpability so egregious knowing what we know today.

Having said that, US grunts are purposefully reared on first-person shooter video games and, as a result, treat war proper as a game, of sorts (see: 'Collateral Murder', Wiki Leaks). So it's hardly revelatory that they have little sympathy for the sensibility of those fallen.

First person shooter games exist = Propaganda for psychopathic American soldiers.

No.

I guess the South Koreans are making super soldiers then?

Anyone notice it's all a bunch of white guys??????????????

So....

Because some nut job nation went crazy in the 1940's... Nearly 100 years ago... It's okay to say 'notice it's all whites'?

Know what?

Notice most stabbings in London are blacks? Notice all terrorists are Pakistanis? Notice all Mexicans are lazy?

America, The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the Commonwealrh, and our allies, fought and died to protect the world from the Nazis.

Take your anti-white racism and stick it elsewhere. Racism is racism, no matter the colour of the perpetrator.

Just so you don't have to ask, I may be trolling

I really don't think there are enough skulls and/or images reminding you of death for the Marines to consume on your flags/banners. Just a dumb civilian's opinion of course, but I think they should also have a flag/banner of a freshly snipered body, with the red mist flying out of the skull like you commented on before just to remind you of your duty, and because you would obviously be so proud of that moment. More death, more demon skulls, more more more

Henry Kissinger's quote sure comes to mind. I think we all know it.

Thanks for the freedom youre sending me from thousands of miles away. Couldn't do it without you!!!

just trolling of course...

I believe Sabilcious is making a fallacy of inadequate evidence..
A "Hasty Generalization" if my memory serves me correctly.

Hasty generalization is a logical fallacy of faulty generalization by reaching an inductive generalization based on insufficient evidence — essentially making a hasty conclusion without considering all of the variables.

Does anyone really believe it's an innocent mistake?

Yes, because most of the current generation wouldn't know a history book if it hit them upside the head. The only symbol most of today's youth would associate with the Nazis is the Swastika (and 80% of them wouldn't even know the term "Swastika")...so yes, I can easily believe it was an innocent mistake....most grievously, a mistake by our education system...(and, it's hard to get kids to learn on their own, the way we used to, when they can simply Google anything they want to know). They've traded innate knowledge for easily accessible knowledge.

I think you may have forgotten to make your point.

Our job is to kill.
So again, I ask, what is your point?

Right so the Canadians, Chinese, and all the other militaries who have adopted this style are Nazis as well, correct?

Your job is to protect the United States of America from enemies both foreign and domestic. You may have to kill if necessary, your job is not exclusively to kill. There are other essential facets to the job.

A culture of death is not going to help you win a war, it's going to twist the hearts and minds of youth who look up to you.

We're trained to kill. Simple as.
We aren't the Army.

We don't get sent in unless something needs to be shot.

This may be the only thing I'll disagree with you on.

Killing isn't our job. It's an unfortunate part of the job. But our job is to protect and defend the Constitution and American people.

Don't forget about the Marine Expeditionary Units. Those are best known as the tip of the spear. And while it may sound like it's all for war and killing, there's a lot more good they do. They're the first ones to react for humanitarian aid. Natural disasters that turn a country inside out, the US will have a MEU there to help out. They send in the strike group to offer aid like food, water, and medical attention.

Plus many of the missions of the MEU's are community relations. A main focus of the only MEU I was on, the 31st, was providing aid to less fortunate people.

I think we need you here in the US more than TPTB need you abroad. We could definitely put your skills to use on our homeland.

I'll agree with you.
I may have been speaking for the Corps too broadly.

I was more thinking in terms of my MOS specifically
And especially the scout snipers.
