We need a proper debate on how to save the planet, and make it better.
We do not need hysteria!
We need to pull together, and separate the wheat from the chaff.
In this case people making a living on the idea of global warming, and those who want to do all to clean up the world.
The 2 people are not the same!
They plant huge fields for biodiesel, killing wildlife.
They create hysteria and cloud our understanding.

We need facts, and attainable ideals.
We need people who are truly green.
Green enough to fly against conventional wisdom when it is false and wrong.
We need people who are humble, and truly love the Earth.

Now you may all quote me on that!

This will only be achieved through education, and the deconstruction of false myths, ideologies, propaganda, and faith.
Its hard to battle with the arrogant, brainwashed, so I accept the language of the author in the article.
You used the tools you are dealt to deliver the message, in this great chaos of noise.
The authors view should be heard.
They should be though about.
It is important.
It is vital for our survival, that we make the right choices, not choices forced on wrong interpretations, or choices that do more harm then good, but are excellent propaganda points.

However, it should also be taken into account, that you cannot just disprove something without actually reading the article.
Character assassinations, bait and switches, and parroting of official propaganda are not intellectual debate.

So I apologize for my words that maybe construed as insults.

I saw this article whilst I waited to have my hair cut. I'd never actually buy the paper. Delingpole's opinion has no more clout than anyone here for instance. He's just batting for the status quo. The middle-class right wing actually love the thought of their way of life being destroyed, it gives them a shot of vigour that they have something against which to rail. Usually they don't deny the physical existence of their bete noir homosexuality, socialism, immigration, whatever - because they can keep something outside of themselves in their sights. But they have no choice but to deny the very existence of manmade damage to the environment, because the alternative - that our own actions are what's sending us to hell in a handcart - is too awful to contemplate.

i think it is more in terms of deep ecology. but we are all different.
