Did you read the entire chapter or just search for a passge that condems an act? Can i assume you got this from a website as well?

You don't seem to understand that people are born homosexual... i know this for a fact... i grew up with someone who was gay from the time he knew the difference between male and female... and even before that point he was still different from the rest of the guys.

Being gay is natural, it occurs in nature as well as in man kind... when one gives in to lusts that person defies what is natural... true homosexuals are naturally attracted to the same sex... and im afraid you can't post anything from the bible that can "undo" that fact...

The best part is you don't even have to believe it... its true regardless of your belief.

And just so you know... paul does not speak for Jesus... And Jesus did not condem being gay... anywhere.

Btw, theres no hate in my posts... im just clairifying some things that need to be said... but i admit, the christian attitude towards gay people completely disgusts me...

Keeping his commands is all throughout the old and new testaments. The fact that you do not know this brings shame onto you. Both books verify eachother.

John 8:54-59

Regardless of what weather we agree on the passage we both agree the way most Christians treat most people is disgusting. I do believe that some homosexuals believe that they were born gay. In this case even though i may still see it as wrong I do believe they are not guilty of willful sin. Since only God knows the heart of a man only God can judge.

The fact is we are all sinners and all fall short. The most important command is not do not sin. The most important command is love your neighbor as yourself. Sometimes people get so caught up in saving the world they nullify the word of God.

The homosexual is your neighbor you can disagree with there life choice and still love them. I have had several gay friends and i am always honest with them. I am not afraid to tell anyone I don't understand nor do I agree with them. But this does not keep me from being their friends. I have found that they appreciate my love and honesty.

If we leave Christianity out of the equation for just a moment, I think that we can all agree that the only person to know what it is truly like to be a homosexual is a homosexual. Therefore everyone who has an opinion on the matter that is not gay is not speaking with any experience whatsoever. We can all argue the hows and whys a person is attracted to the same sex, but unless you live it yourself you will never really know why for real.

Yes, the bible does state very strongly and very negatively on the matter. But if as a Christian you have nothing better to do in your faith than bemoan the downfall of society and blame it on homosexuality then you need a reality check. Last time I went to church homosexuals were not ransacking the altar or causing great disturbances. In fact last time I did anything worthy of note homosexuals were not even an issue. So why all the fuss and noise and hatred towards them?

Gay people are a fact of life, and they cant simply be wished, prayed, legislated or hated away. The mere fact that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah is in the very first book of the bible suggests in itself that homosexuality has been around since the dawn of man himself. It also suggests that despite the fact that God destroyed the two towns and subsequently drowned the world's entire population bar Noah and his family through the great flood that he has not been able to stamp it out, or any of the other vices that man has either for that matter.

So hows about as Christians we all look toward the positive things we can do for humanity like helping the poor, loving the lonely, and helping the sick and dying.

One thing I found interesting while touring the middle east was the intimacy of Muslim men.

Young men hold the hands of the elders as they walk the streets. They kiss each other when they meet. It has nothing to do with sex, but rather intimate affection. It is a foreign concept in the west.

Men cannot see how programmed against love they are.

Now that they are expected to be loving, they do not know how.

And if they take that chance, will the tribe survive?

I agree that affection is a form of love, and I understand men showing each other affection through hugs, or kisses on both cheeks as they do in some cultures.

Sodomy is not a form of affection though.. it is a form of lust and wanting carnal pleasure form the body..in way God did not intend those bodily parts to find pleasure in.

There is a huge difference in aman showing affection through love, and a man showing lust for carnal pleasures.

By the way IAMIAM..many gays practice sadism and masochism, which is not based on affection at all but a perverse form of torture for pleasure. I love my mate, a woman, with every ounce of my being, just as I do anyone else. I treat her with every ounce of respect and adoration due even the creator.

But, when the lights are down low and we are in our secret place, it is no ones damn business what we do.
