Tear provoking stories? ..

If it's anyone hiding, it's you. You didn't even address his post, but chose to denounce it, make up something about tear provoking tactics, then use the same tactic yourself.

Can't there be a single Anti-USA/Israel/West person that cares to actually debate the topic, rather than make up stereotypes and use them as an attack card?

Let me guess.. soon you'll whine about how you are misunderstood.

Iran is extremely intolerable against home-sexuality. It's just despicable.

Some Human rights activists and opponents of the Iranian regime claim between 4,000 and 6,000 gay men and lesbians have been executed in Iran for crimes related to their sexual preference since 1970

In 2007, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, speaking to Columbia University, said that homosexuality does not exist in Iran, though a spokesperson later stated that his comments were misunderstood.[2] Homosexuality is a crime punishable by imprisonment, corporal punishment, or in some cases of sodomy, even execution of the accused is legal under the laws of this country's theocratic Islamic government.[3] Any type of sexual activity outside a heterosexual marriage is forbidden.

Even though I oppose any military intervention, I completely despise this nations regime. I will never choose it's side.

When even the most mundane things such as sexual preference cannot be expressed in freedom, then you are truly still a barbaric nation.

We have had this discussion.

Show the location of the former Soviet bases.

Indicate which of the American bases are there at the request of those governments, and for how long.

Then, and only then will that map indicate anything worth discussing-- LIKE HISTORY!... and then you will not want to discuss it-- until it gets posted again ...
* as if not already discussed;
* as if you do not know the dishonesty if its presentation--
and in hopes that bright educated persons will not descend upon the thread and point out the historically obvious to the bunch of blog-sucking morons who have not a clue of anything that ever happened in the world prior to 2001.

Harsh letter follows.

Like I said, we have had this discussion before-- and it will go the same way.

This has nothing to do with the current situation in Iran. Most of the 9/11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, none were from Iran or Iraq. There is no current reason for the economic sanctions besides what I have stated before.

Correct! And you just added the map to your OP because you liked the pretty colors?

Dishonest presentation -- it none the less suits your agenda-- and so you used it.

That is my point. Which you just conceded.

There is no "discussion" when the agenda trumps the facts.

And when you get buried in facts which call you out and expose your dishonesty-- you (or another) will start another thread, so as to erase the facts from the discussion and try again with your propaganda.

You should check out the US's human rights record as well. Not just the US, but every country.

Would you mind comparing in contrast a recent example to the hanging of a teen boy for no other reason but because he is gay?

And don't bring up unauthorized torture victims.

Why is it that the USA can have all these military camps in other countries? I can't imagine South Africa allowing Zimbabwe (for instance) to have military camps on our home ground? How is this achieved by the USA and how on earth is it justified?? Please switch on the lights for me on this one. I have always been to embarresed to ask, but perhaps you will kindly ignore my uneducated lack of knowledge.

The USA can have all these military camps in other countries because, most of the time, in my opinion, they have a big military, big economy, and they can go there and say, " hey, do you have a problem letting us set up a base here? We'll be your friend!". Either that or the other countries have an alliance with the USA and that is one of their clauses, or the country asks them.

I am an iranian and its my firt post on this site. First when i was casting a look at your comments, most of them were just like some sentences made by people who indeen are not aware of iranian people attitudes and issues from inside Iran. Oh you are just watching the matter from above the house! I am inside. listen to me, we ARE hateful of American policies(those aimed at us) because every move that American government is to take, makes us remember bitter memories of America's interference to seek just his own advantages.Surely we like American PEOPLE. We know you as open-minded people who are kind and friendly. Mosadegh was overthrown by your government, Shah and his secret intelligence servise(SAVAK) tortured our people to death and our oil was stolen! , we just remember your government's vicious activities in Iran, we remember America's support of Shah even when he slaughtered iranian people, we know about your government's double policies, look at Bahrain! the king is just killing, torturing people but your media is just off about the issues that do not serve your government's interests, we remember WWII when western countries occupied our land and one third of our people DIED out of hunger because our stupid king at that time was just a tool at the hands of England and America and was feeding foreign troops. we know that your government is angry at every progress that is made in this land. i also hate those like Taliban who are just a bunch of murderers. We iranian want to stand on our own feet, independent, soemthing that your government is going to deprive us of. We have created Hizbollah to defeat those zionists who are committing whatever crime.

Yes, I want to hear from you as well, however, please stick to the topic being discussed. Don't muddy the waters. What do you think of the current sanctions and how do they affect you? Do you think your government is going to do the right thing? What is the right thing in your opinion? Do you believe this is all about oil, or is it really about your nuclear program? What reasons have you heard for Iran not following the NPT? Please let me know the answers to the questions I have asked.

PS- I am from Canada, I stand behind the American people as well, just not their government.

Did I say I had a recent or any example of the hanging of a teen boy for no other reason but because he is gay? I said "check out the US's human rights record as well.". Might want to check into child murder in your country junior...especially Texas. Should the UN move in? Or another country? No. This thread is about the first two sentences in my opening post. Please stick to that.

But once again the important thing to remember is these are murders carried out by sick individuals. These are not murders carried out with the explicit permission of the government! This is a very important distinction. If you do not understand why that is so important, you truely have no clue.

Iran hangs homosexuals with the permission of the government. That is so very wrong and evil on so many levels.

It is their way of life, their religion, their mores, their morals, their values. I don't agree with it either, but, if we don't let nations act in the way that they feel is best for their citizens, then we are giving all western nations free reign to go into any country that doesn't believe exactly what they believe. So why not have a one world government then? That is exactly what you are advocating. I don't agree with that either.
