You still have not provided one sensible argument as to why Argentina, that as a nation was born after the Falkland Islands should be the soverign state of the Falkland Islands?

What gives you the right to displace an entire nation on the grounds that the Island is relativly close to your nation and it must be your because my dad told me a story once that he lived there.

the Israelis and Palestinians were offered a two state solution, which the Arabs turned down and promptly declared war on the Israelis. The British Mandate of Palestine as it was then, wasn't a sovreign State it was territory ceded by Turkey after World War I, and previously under the control of the Ottaman Empire. You are also judging the modern UK by past standards, There are parts of my countries History I'm not particularily proud of, but I doubt any suggestion you would have had at the time, on the Palestinian/Israeli subject, had you been around, would have worked either. Sounds like to me you get all of your facts from George Galloway and Press TV, not exactly reliable sources :-)

I would agree with you, except that they never belonged to South America like you stated. And if you go by that premise, then Argentina belongs to the English because we created the country from rebelious ashes.

Bottom line is the Falklands are not and were NEVER a part of Argentina, and don't wish to be now.

Anyone who supports the right of self determination for mankind should support the plight of the falklands against the Argentine Aggression.

I admire the Australians......they tend to be really interesting people and have become a positive group in their part of the world.....they have become part of the solution over there.....kudos to them...they mix with their neighbors rather than separate themselves because of trivial loyalties to some old lady with a nice hat or differing idiosyncrasy....they are more from there than from the motherland....

I like Australians...especially when we are beating them at cricket, but I disgress.

They have been very loyal and steadfast friends of the UK and we will never forget that....but do you know anything about their society, culture and history?

I suspect most Australian Aborigenal people would probably have a very different perspective and viewpoint to both you and I.

Earlier I asked a question and no-one has attempted to answer.

What is so different, apart from the fact that The Falklands were uninhabited when the UK gained them, with The Falklands being a British Territory and Hawaii and Alaska being US states?
