Let me guess you have a thyroid?

Oh and i am 30 by the way

I think everyone has a thyroid

Ooooh, 30!! It's all downhill after 30

I'm only joking my freind. It's good you are fit and healthy and are able to eat what you like without any problems. Sadly though, that's not the case for everyone.

I have low cholesterol, low blood pressure. I am fit and healthy. I can run further and faster than you. I can lift more than you and i look better than you!

Get off your ego trip mate!! Seems you are a bit full of yourself....

Mcdonalds has no nutritional value, might as well eat a burger made from cardboard, you will get the same nutritional value.

I am talking about people who moan about being over weight and do nothing about it when they can.

Go and read my posts again before jumping on your horse.

There is no easy fix for weight loss, you do it the hard way or you forever end up in the cycle of dieting and then adding it back with more.

Giddy up, horsey, giddy up!!!!!!!!!

What about eating healthily and only doing moderate exercises like lots of walking? Surely that'd be better than eating crap but exercising lots?

Apart from all the nice saturated fat which boosts my testosterone and all the sugary carbs which help me through a hard lift pre workout. I don't think you know what your talking about.

I know of a Marine on a bodybuilding forum and they were fed cheeseburgers quite frequently. That greasy burger supplies me with a lot of energy in a small package!

I am not advocating it but cheeseburgers ARE NOT the root of Britains obseity problem, sorry!

Office jobs, lack of exercise and greed are! Its a combination.

Haha

Humans evolved to move. Do you really think that lots of walking is going to solve Britains Obesity crisis? Think back to the times when humans were hunters, do you think we walked after our prey?

Ah, I see you're thinking in terms of caveman mentality, things are starting to make sense now (kidding). Also, I did say 'healthy diet' and walking a lot, a major factor.

Being 30 you hardly need a testosterone boost at all. Also, how do you do a hard lift, pre workout.

This is not a bodybuilding forum, so i am not interested in your workout routine. This is about obese people, many who do have legitimate problems, but also many who are just to lazy to exersize.

Yeah, it also seems your testo boosters are making you a bit aggro bro...

Healthy? As in fruit, veg etc.

Yeah i advocate a healthy diet.

I could eat cheeseburgers all day if i wanted though and still not put a pound on as long as i was in budget of 2400 calories.

And thats the point i am making. You can eat what the hell you want but if your in a calorie deficit you won't put a pound on.

Agro?

And no i don't need a test boost but it certainly helps! A McDonalds pre or post workout is excellent for me. Nice anabolic insulin spike.

Listen the discussion is about Obesity and i am simply stating that fast food is not solely to blame! Thats a fact.

It seems we are always playing catch up with US. Sounds as though we may be getting there!

Here's a little game. Go to an airport Arrivals section. Heck you don't even have to buy a ticket! Watch as the planes disgorge the different nationalities.
Italians? Someow they nearly all look good whatever.
French? Not bad.
Brits? Here we come - the mongrel race - as in no ethnic features of our own. But somehow instantly recognisable - lumpy, pasty and totally without style. It's embarrassing - and I say that as a Brit.

Can i ask you why you find it embarrassing?

Do you think everyone should look like a model in a magazine?

'Style' doesn't have to mean designer label or 'looking like a model'.
Worryingly, it seems you don't quite grasp this. Which possibly means you are part of the problem!
It's about having an innate understanding that certain things don't look good if you have acres of upper arm flab or belly fat, if your legs give a whole new meaning to 'knobbly', etc etc...
Style is also about taking a little care over your grooming.
Take an albeit extreme example - a plane load of Brits from Alicante, why on earth would you want to associate with them?
Yes it's embarrassing.

I believed the news that British women are the fattest in Europe - until I discovered that it was the EU that said so.

I understood perfectly clear what you meant.

So because someone is fat and not groomed to your standards, they are a lesser person than you?

Wow, just wow.

You are strangely defensive. That's not what I said so quit putting words in peoples mouths. Maybe you should go work for the News of the World.
Oh wait......

You could say the same about any British newspaper. The News of the World just happens to be the one that was picked on.

Wow indeed. That's not what I said so quit putting words in peoples mouths. Maybe you should go work for the News of the World.
Oh wait......

What's the News of the world got to do with anything?

You said, and i quote,

"It's about having an innate understanding that certain things don't look good if you have acres of upper arm flab or belly fat, if your legs give a whole new meaning to 'knobbly', etc etc...

Yes it's embarrassing"

So, because people who are overweight wear the wrong clothes, and don't take care of their grooming, you wouldn't want to associate yourself with them because they are embarrassing....Ergo, you feel that they are a lesser person than yourself.

It appears to me, that you don't quite understand what you wrote.
