Here's a bit of what I understand about $cientology......

....you mentioned just two prominent male celebrities, who happen to be quite wealthy.

.....but how do they get so many celebrity supporters?
...........
I know that celebrities are always for hire but there is a difference between being spokesman for a religion then for a new diet or perfume.
I know they are filthy rich but I imagine the asking price for changing Tom Cruises or John Travolta’s religion would be more then they have.

I'll stop there. And, this is an opinion based on some scraps of gossip heard along the way, over the years, mind you.

It is no secret that the "machine" of Hollywood can chew up people's egos. And, sudden "success" at an age when a person is too young to take it all in properly, and at the same time might lack the proper support structure to help them cope, that can lead to a sort of "wasteland" syndrome, for want of a better term.

Now.....it is actually a fairly "open secret" among many, many so-called "Hollywood Insiders" that being Gay is a detriment to one's career. Yes, even today. It shouldn't be, of course....but, many of the "heavy hitters" who are the heads of major studios and still have great influence in the Industry are very old-school, even now.

But, let's re-wind back to the 1980s.....and, focus on young "Tom Cruise" (his 'stage name') and John Travolta.

Up-and-coming, each due to different career paths. But, scuttlebutt is, they have skeletons in the "closet".

Yes, 'gossip' is hearsay, yada yada yada..... however, someone I know personally has told me things, and I have to acknowledge this. It is not the point, here, to cast aspersions...not the intent.

But....in regards to $cientology....once anyone with any feeling that he/she has a 'secret' that might have a potential impact on their chosen career (whether it is accurate or not, it is their 'secret' and they think it could be damaging if it "got out")...once the $cientology peeps get wind of it....through any sort of (what should be confidential) admission.....or, "sharing"?

It seems to me that calling it government Psy-Ops or anything of that nature over-complicates it. Although fun to speculate about......

The basic term that most likely applies, in regards to the wealthy $cientology spokespeople is summed up in one word:

BLACKMAIL.

Especially to something to something like scientology which would loose them millions of fans and subsequently millions in profit because not as many people want to see their movies.

So what I'm wondering, is there possibly a government or big corporation agenda behind scientology?

From all that I have read over the last 20 years, the word BLACKMAIL also comes to mind especially when it involved those who try to leave scientology.

L.RON was a great mind..however, he was heavily influenced by the use of strong psycotropic drugs.

A guy in the US who is strongly against scientology has had people stalk him, has had people stick up posters around his neighbourhood telling his neighbours he is a pedophile, has been physically targeted as he simply video tapes meetings...

it's all part of the "fair game" strategy they employed.

exactly. I have a friend with a 'high' up job with a 'high' end newspaper. years ago he did a story on exposing them and they just about ruined his life.
The scientologists started stalking/watching them. threatening them. they even went so far as to somehow change their credit reports (for the worse).
it was ugly and scary. obviously this 'religion' has some very powerful people inside it that can do some very powerful things.

Here's an alternate theory for you... Maybe they aren't "falling FOR it", but rather "in ON it"... Maybe this religion has been hijacked by tptb to use as a tool to convince us of something sometime in the future. Convince us of what? Maybe that aliens are real when they are really demons, or that aliens (the ones that will be presented to the world) are good when they are bad, or maybe they are trying to ridicule the whole alien movement. Either way, I could definitely see tptb using the church of scientology to unveil aliens to the world. Celebrities will tell us how they've known about it for however long and then we will have a convenient group of credible people to spoonfeed us whatever information they want us to believe. How long they've been here, what their reason is for being here, how they live, eat, mate, etc. Where they come from. I'm guessing they will present themselves as our ancient gods and tell us that, over the years, religions sprouted up with more and more different messages and we are confused about the real truth of our origins. So all other religions will become null and void and, in fact, illegal! They will graciously tell us they don't want to be worshiped, but we will depend on them to such a degree to solve our problems that the difference will not be noticeable. Sound about right?

I yearn for some way to finally expose this scam and shame for what it truly is. Problem is, MONEY!

The vast resources of MONEY that "they" have at "their" disposal makes it tantamount to a minor (or major) drug cartel.

Tearing down must be done from the core...the 'inside'....chopping off the limbs just allows some organisms to thrive.....

2 Timothy 4:3 "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear"

Isaiah 30:10 They say to the seers, "See no more visions!" and to the prophets, "Give us no more visions of what is right! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.

Jude 1:18 They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires."

Seems like an awful lot of religions popping up lately that will tell you whatever your itching ears want to hear.

Probably won't be much longer where we see religions based on Robert Jordan's Aes Sedai or Terry Goodkind's Sisters of the Light or Sisters of the Dark. If you can fabricate a religion based on L. Ron Hubbards books you can fabricate a religion praying to the turd in your toilet.

Pretty much right on the money.

Just go get a Dianetics book and read it, and you'll see there isn't much to it. The basic idea is that anything that is holding you back in an engram caused during some unconscious moment, and you can use Dianetic techniques to remove these engrams and become a clear.

In other words, pay us money for BS classes and we'll validate you as a person.

Is it REALLY any wonder why celebrities (especially narcissistic ones) fall for this? It's a paid ego boost.

L Ron Hubbard himself even stated he did it for the money people, what more do you really need....????

EXACTLY!!!

ALL "religions" have just been succinctly defined.

I recommend the film made some years ago by the group known as "Monty Python". Their film the "Life of Brian" is spot on descriptive of the inanity of "organized religion"....

Snippet from the synopsis:

Brian is born on the original Christmas, in the stable next door. He spends his life being mistaken for a messiah.

Hilarity ensues....if you haven't yet seen the movie, it is a great treat....especially at this "time" of year.

Short clip from the film:

The effects of religion are great for brainwashing and controlling the public, not only does it brainwash the followers but it also convinces people of other religions that they are right.
I don’t know, but I think there’s something behind it they we don’t see..
What do you think?

The thing about Scientology is that it is not just a "cult" for actors... more importantly, it is for the writers. It's just that writers are not the big names like the actors in Hollywood.

Hollywood was created to spread propaganda, and Scientology is a source of a specific type of propaganda.

Look at all the popular sci-fi shows, Star Wars, Stargate, Battlestar Galactica, etc, (and it isn't limited to tv - comic books, etc) they all follow Scientology.

Why?

Project Blue Beam is nothing more than Scientology's 36 day "R-6 implant" (implant means brainwashing). And it's due to be unveiled, eh, around Nov. 15ish, 2012 through 12-21-12.

Fun times ahead.

What scare's me about it is all the adverts ON THIS SITE!!!!! about Scientology (in the ad space's)
I have thought about complaining I mean you don't see any other religions buying Ad space on ATS do you?
I went on a march against Scientology in Leeds and they were sending people over to find out our name's and take photo's of us all, one got a good pic of me until a copper asked me whether I allowed it to be taken, I said no I didn't and the copper made the fella delete it
.
I think the US should take note that many EU countries have banned it or at least said "No its not a religion you gotta pay tax".
The reason all the celebs follow it is they have no concept of the real world anymore and Scientology just bigs up their ego. Just watch the Cruise interview to see how insane he is.
Just glad my 4th wife left him because of this

There is more to the celebrity/scientology relationship than meets the eye.
Scientology is a dark and nasty enterprise!

First of all; Scientology isn't a religion. The "Church" part of their name was sought after solely for tax purposes, by their insane former leader / cult creator L. Ron Hubbard.

L. Ron Hubbard: "Writing for a penny a word is ridiculous, If a man really wanted to make a million dollars, the best way to do it would be start his own religion." -at a Science Fiction convention.

Secondly, you spelled lose as "loose", rendering you slightly incompetent, in my humble opinion, no offense. What device does NOT have spell check these days?
Jeez.

I have wandered into my local Scientology church in Philadelphia just to see what it was about. They showed some semi-interesting things. They hooked me up to a few doo-dads and something or other to find where "stress" was in my life. I found that I could control the machine independently, so I would trick the operator into thinking the machine was being successful. Was fun humoring him. It was really weird because there was a very young girl there who looked to be brainwashed wearing scientologist clothes. After talking for a few minutes they automatically started trying to sell me booklets and DVDs. Ridiculous.

Just another luciferian cult. Not much mystery to it.

How is it Luciferian? They do not worship the Devil/Satan/Lucifer or anything to do with Judeo-Christian beliefs, it is a completely separate religion.

ahhhhhh, the Truth?

Any religion that goes to such extremes to keep its Members removed from family and friends and uses brain-washing techniques is not a religion but a CULT !!

Google " Operation Clambake " for a glimpse into this so-called religion........

Doing so will come up with THIS as the first hit....

well, when you think about it, scientology makes the most sense out of all of the religions.
i mean all of the religions where made up by someone and this time around that someone was more "up-dated" or "educated" with science and world history and philosophy.

sure L ron made the crap up, sure it should have been another book. no money in books...

disclaimer!! i am not a scientologist! i actually can't stand them and when i used to live in hollywood i would almost hit them with my car on a constant basis. they just walk right out in front like they don't care. it got to be a game where i would just keep speeding. things got crazy in LA and i couldn't take it anymore. moved to nyc 10 years ago. anyways, not a scientologist, hate them, hate all religions and most people, etc..

back to my post...

this "new" "religion" is exactly what tptb wanted and fits right in with the "new world order"
think about it, psychology meets aliens, minus god, perfect!

i mean, i do believe that we are on a "slave planet" and that our "souls" are indeed "trapped" in our "mortal bodies"
we most likely where created by alien scientists.
perhaps our only way to travel "out" of this world or planet is to "travel" with/through the most important machine we have in this world, our brain through the guidance of our conscience.

maybe that's what the "purpose" of auditing is

i mean if i really had to pick a religion, if i really, really had to, then it would have to have aliens creating mankind to mine gold and then become too powerful in mass and then get "wiped out" by the alien scientists and then the survivors would flourish into what is today's society and then in less than 12 months, sometime in 2012, it all gets wiped again and the survivors will "start again"

what scares me the most is that the super elite, half-hybrid, reptilian, blue-blooded, overlords will survive this (once again) and once again they will emerge on top and in control of the "new world" as always...

i'm sure i'll be stuck in line at trader joes when the first part of the "oh my god this is really happening" shebang goes down.

A lot of celebrities are very desenatized to reality, and want to feel they're a valuable, important part of something.

The more you donate to the church of Scientology, the higher up in the hierarchy you go.

Therefore, while I can't prove this, I feel one explanation is that (some) celebrities use their money to more or less become a religious leader without actually having a long-term devotion to the faith.
