There is lots of scrutiny for ufos I think its because people are scared or maybe there just aren't any here on earth whatever it is.. well I just don't know

Hi, Chris here, making my first visit... Having had a quick scroll down from the start I'm not surprised that those less confident people who come here wanting to either share their experience or find out more on the subject of UFO's are put off from posting.

Why are some of you so quick to pounce? Fortunately, I don't fall into the 'less confident' bracket, so I will share my experience. I live in Essex and having two Rottweiler's, I find it easier to walk them over the park between 3-4 AM every morning, despite them both being pussy-cats (Prejudice and stereo typing still reign supreme in all aspects of life I'm afraid to say). However, despite often seeing many strange things in the night sky, only on one occasion can I testify to being 100% sure of what I saw being a UFO.

This sighting chilled me to the bone, although I feel sure that many of you will have come across many more, much closer encounters than I have. In doing so, you have the choice of reading it or not - save me maybe boring you to death. There are many other UFO related stories on there too, plus all of the other, 'conspiracy' related articles I have written for the Irish based 'Sovereign Independent Newspaper' - which covers the stories you won't read about in the mainstream media, don't cha know.

Wow. It's hard to believe that people still have to be reminded to "play nice" but I like the way it was handled in this post. It's good when the game makers observe the same courtesies! The Golden Rule always apply. As a fence sitter for a long time, I have to say I'm coming over to the believer side. I don't need to be derided for thoughtfully exploring my conclusions. Well done!

Whatever happened to being 'thick skinned'. Wait, should I put on child gloves... Is this really ATS's stance?

may i offer a suggestion to new people on ATS....
if you have a clip that shows a speck of light on a black backround, it will garnish some derision from other members..why?..no detail, no reference points, plus, there are already plenty of perfectly explainable objects that fit the parameters shown in the clip.

INTERESTING...more and more scrutiny on a conspiracy site...closed 911...looks like ufo's will get closed....i guess political and Religion should get closed...I mean this is conspiracy...that right there would let people know it will be heated discussions...Also i think ATS might think about what goes on during summer months...i mean from how long i have been here it is all the same...summertime gets heated with the new people...I personally think less scrutiny is more....as things will and usually do settle...I think ATS is in the wrong business if they themselves do not realize Conspiracy alone bring in heated discussions.

I have limited time just like many folks here. I really enjoy coming here to read up on what folks are presenting. After seeing so much rudeness and having to waste so much time scanning through arguments, insults, counter insults, I did not wonder about ATS...I witnessed how crappy members themselves can make a good site look bad. I know the mods have their work cut out for them at times, but am happy to see that they are going to get on it more often and some time we will have the not only best site for folks to come to but also a site that people feel welcome and AT HOME. Many folks know eachother like close friends here. Let's keep the atmosphere respectful and most of all knowledgeable. Private message your arguments, because too many of us are tired of wasting our time filtering through the horse pucky.

Kewl, I hope I don't get ridiculed as much as other forums. I spent 50 hours editing one of my videos, posted to one forum I'm not going to mention, and I got 4 negative ratings in the first hour. #in depressing.

I like the way you think. But you have to understand that most people will go across the grain simply because they are afraid to accept new challenges to their own worldview and paradigm. For most people, the possibilities of intelligent life beyond Earth, and what they have been taught in school or church, or from the propaganda machine that has been telling them for years that ET and UFOs do not exist, will litterally destroy their faith in their elected officials, their faith in the military that protects them, and their faith in God. There is the old saying, "What you don't know can't hurt you," a saying that I cannot believe in anymore, myself, because I am a firm believer that "What you don't know CAN and WILL kill you." I'm not trying to be a smart alec or anything like that,so I don't get into any more hot water than what I am already in. I might suggest that you visit Kerry Cassidy's ProjectCamelot.org, if you haven't been there before, and you might find some interesting material. She did a little review on one of my books that you might find interesting. My book is entitled THE DULCE PROTOCOL. I am happy to say that she did give my book a "HIGHLY RECOMMEND". You'll also find the links to my other two books as well: THE GRAND DECEPTION, and THE OMEGA FILES. Many new members actually want to discuss a topic that might have already been authored, but you don't really get that far on a thread that was authored 2 years ago. Hell, sometimes even a couple of months ago.

It's always the same bull, people dropping you links of the many existing threads on the topic, even if they are as old as Moses.

If I may also add, peoples views change on a daily basis and what we considered impossible 5 years ago, could be considdered believable now.

I agree, plus all incredible artifacts on mars needs to be taken very seriously such as the biological sprayer, tubes etc. There is something very serious going on on and under mars. It needs to be seriously discussed over and over. And the SAD thing is because of all the the debunkers, you hardly get decent artifacts anymore because the ones that used to post em (and manyy were great by the way) are long gone from this site or refuse to get bombed with debunkers. These type of things truly hurts ATS and what it stands for !

I came here to share my english dominant language experiences with the lot of ya and I get these chicken heads calling me out on my language.....my english......If it were not insulting 100 years ago it sure as [Snip] is now.
