Listen dumb dumb you asked for one I gave the refrence to the world now you want to change the subject and say you asked for something else just face it you got beat at your own game. You never asked about a specific country. Who cares that Austrailia doesn't what about all the rest. Never mind that was rhetorical.

I didn't make your point I was being completly fair and decided to give you all the info not just one little country. By doing that I took the wind out of any argument you could make that I didn't show every country. I am not like you I don't believe in telling half truths or only giving part of the story. Quit making false claims and accusations.

If you want to keep going fine stick your foot in your mouth some more see if I care.

I give you 6 or 7 complete posts of countries and you try to make it out that I only gave you one country. You spinless worm stop with the lies.

If anyone cares to look its takes up about 1/4 of page 33

Ok hillbilly hick inbred dumber you obviously can't read so you have failed to notice that I reponded to posts initiated. You and your boyfriend made out that the U.S was unique and I corrected you like I would be forced to a preschool child and you in an effort to respond in desperation only managed to validate my post. You'd best lay off that moonshine JimBob there's a family reunion happening in your bedroom and you're needed.

Call me dumb dumb and spineless ! That might be ok to say that in the U.S but to an Aussie you've just paid for your own burial. 5 minutes with me yank and you'd be bleeding from places you had no idea you could bleed from. As many a yank mouth off tool has learned. You internet hero. When it comes to the crunch you are genetically inclined to cry. Every backpacker knows this. Ask any of your fellow yanks who have been stupid enough to pick an Aussie. Now I'll be banned by the U.S Mods to help out a U.S whimp.

I am not passing judgment on the veracity of that man's claim, but if this is really such a guaranteed consequence of training then either veterans would have a standing exemption from murder charges or they wouldn't be allowed back into society since they cannot control their urge to kill. Some people do develop PTSD that results in incidents like his. Others may very well have PTSD, but use the diagnosis to get a lesser charge when they murder someone. If every (or even an eighth) of combat veterans return with uncontrollable triggers to kill then there would be piles of bodies across the country.

Aspirin gives a small subset of people very serious health complications. The same goes for penicillin. Do we ban aspirin or penicillin because of this? No, we put warnings on the boxes and screen patients. Combat training or PTSD can cause breaks with reality while at home. The answer isn't to do away with combat training (because it is unfortunately necessary), but to research who this happens to and why. That way you can screen people this might happen to, and put safeguards in place so that these tragedies are much less likely to happen.

Training an animal to complete a task does not lead to permanent disability. I desensitized my horse to flags and banners, someone desensitizes one to gunfire or crowds. They don't need to go to a certain type of person afterwards as a result of their training. A former police dog does not need to go to a law enforcement family any more than a former flyball dog has to go to a family with tennis balls all over the house.

War, like illness, is an unfortunate reality of life. You need police due to crime, you need lawyers because people aren't honest, you need repomen because people don't pay their bills, and you need the military because there is war. Soldiers do not create war: governments create war. I am opposed to the Iraq and Afghan wars, but I don't blame the military for them. Even if every veteran in America all voted exactly the same there are still not enough to change policy.

Your ignorance becomes apparent by your use of pejoratives. 'Towelhead' is a Hollywood invention. Nobody in the military actually uses that term any more than the Obama administration utilized 'death panels.'

Ok understood.

I dont use that term though.

Its wrong.

But thanks for clearing that up for me Gravitor. I know you didnt have to but you did.

Thanks again.

Question: Gravitor what would you suggest doing to eliminate the negative effects that sometimes arrise from military training?

Since the begining of this thread i must sayi have given the topic thought. I have some friends who have had PTSD issues. Now i would say out 200 soldiers, only 4 to my knowlege have displayed negative effects of experiancing war/combat.

Military living is a way of life given some longevity. The "switch" term is true. Having the ability to turn it on and off, well that depends on how great a hold you let it take on your mental state.

War is ugly Gravitor. It will always be present and ever looming so long as man walks on this planet.

I do not agree .
I am of the opinion that wars are been created by a few to further an agenda .
Those organising and creating the wars own the industrial military complex, and they push a pro military thought pattern in the conciousness of this planet.
they portray the military in a highly favourable manner, they call them heoro's and use terms like SERVING YOUR COUNTRY etc etc.
Such as America are been done a grave disservice right now.

I fully support the armed forces, but am afraid they are been used as mugs, they are cannon fodder of a very uncaring small number of scum bags.

The military must take responsibility back, they cannot defer dcisions to such scum.

It is a cowards way to say it is someone elses decisions and orders.
That is what military indoctrination is based on, to remove the human responsibility from humans.
It is a con, a method of using humans to further a minorities agenda.

They are abusing the loyalty and patriotism of so many, We the people do not want war, and the military should serve WE THE PEOPLE.
They are not doing so.
The vast majority of people are been brainwashed via the goggle boxs, they believe what they are told.
The term WAKE UP is a plea to all, to come out of the lunacy that is been mass innoculated into the masses.

War should be the absolute last resort , and in pure defense.
NOBODY has attacked or are attacking America other than those programmed to do so by the very scum bags who send the young men into hell.

SEND THE SCUMBAGS.

I have never heard anyone in the military use the term 'towelhead.' Nutjobs like Charlie Daniels started using it, and then the lefties took him at his word and ran with it.

I agree that certain people in power have an agenda that is detrimental to the interests of humanity. Part of this is why we wasted money and lives in the Iraq debacle. I feel the war in Afghanistan began legitimately, but we have squandered our opportunity there. It isn't all that different from before the invasion. The country is still run by thugs, albeit different from before. The populace still live much as they have before 2001. I have been deployed to Afghanistan, and I have PTSD as a result. I also have service connected disabilities, and have lost friends because of these wars.

Despite all of this you cannot task the military with 'taking responsibility back.' The military cannot become involved in politics or policy in any nation. I don't think General Peter Pace or Admiral Mike Mullen would try to do anything unethical using their command of troops, but by keeping the boundaries in place you prevent another less scrupulous individual down the line from doing so. Part of the continual failure of democracy in Middle Eastern, African, and Eastern European nations is that they do not have an effective boundary between the government and the military.

A veteran is welcome to pursue politics as much as he or she wants, but while they have the potential to command any personnel or weapons system they are strictly barred from government involvement. It is the responsibility of the electorate to keep the government in line, not the military. It is dangerous to suggest otherwise.

I don't agree,
You have the most dangerous of so called presidents currently, and He act's as Your supreme commander....wake up.
At least these two retired generals can say something, but those still active need to grow some balls, and stop hiding away behind that thinking , as it allows total lunatics free to deploy the troops anywhere, as they have .

The military are still....WE THE PEOPLE.
