It is trying every thing to be known as an ultimate power in the world.

Try again -

PressTV - Iranian State Media - Majlis to probe IRGC base blast: MP

Head of the IRGC Public Relations Department Lieutenant General Ramezan Sharif said on Sunday that Investigations to determine the main cause of the incident are underway and that the public will be informed of the findings.

Sharif also ruled out the possibility of acts of sabotage being behind the blast, adding that investigations are ongoing to determine the “main cause” of the incident.

Initial reports had cited “relocation of ammunition” as being behind the explosion.

Given the sensitivity of ammunition, there is always the possibility of such accidents during their transportation, Boroujerdi said.

Straight from the horses mouth.

Don't forget the IRIB article -
Its an archived story so the redirect link is not working with ATS link option.
Here is the link -

It takes a few seconds to load.

"The establishment of the Zionist regime was a move by the world oppressor against the Islamic world," the President told a conference in Tehran entitled 'the world without Zionism'.

"The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land," he said.

"As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map," said Ahmadinejad, referring to the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini.

Addressing some 4,000 students gathered in an interior ministry conference hall, Ahmadinejad also called for Palestinian unity, resistance and a point where the annihilation of the Zionist regime will come.

"The Islamic umma (community) will not allow its historic enemy to live in its heartland," he said.

Emphesis added by me.

The IRIB is one of the offical Iranian government media outlets. The IRIB article is the one western media used to report on the wiped off the map comment. Ahmadenijad was asked time and time again by foreign media / government to clarify his comment, and every time he deflected the question by talking about something thats not related.

And his people scream it too; good for winning popular support if you're a politician in Iran, do you not agree?

I've threatened to kill people before, in self-defense under threat of possible death. Never had to kill anyone yet, nor has anyone ever really messed with me. It's called deterrant force.

By the way, nice video. Seems really neutral and unbiased, NOT. When people post videos like this, it tends to reflect their own opinion. Desperation to the point of making Iran out to be like Nazi Germany, the "ultimate evil", because you don't speak his own language and therefore can't even truly understand what he is saying, so you take the words of anti-Iranian extremists as gospel and follow the herd like a sheep. Very convincing of at least one thing: of where the real threat to world peace lays.

The federated states of micronesia?

I'll take outer planets for 500 alex.....

Both sides are playing the same word games. However, the tone of the exchanged words from one side are the problem.

Yes, Israel is calling for action on the Iranin nuke facilities. They are not advocating an invasion of Iran.

Iran on the other hand is calling for action against Israel - namely to wipe them off the map (which is what he said as the article from the IRIB states).

Both advocate action however 1 seems more extreme.

Let me ask you a question, is the entire world anti-Iranian extremists? There were many more people or countries reporting than just the U.S.

What? The part in the video where Ahmadinejad is screaming and the crowd joins with him, he is saying. "Hi neighbor, do you want to come play with me? Please, won't you be my neighbor"?

Yes, we believe it is all about loving one another.

Honestly, how can you defend this mad man? Do you support Jihad as well? The best defense is offense. Israel has not threatened to wipe Iran off the map and promised genocide, but Iran has. Israel is thinking get them before they get us. If Israel sits around with their hands in their pockets, it's too late, they are threw.
It is common sense man!

OK, next time, we'll just do a conventional landing and suffer 1,000,000 Allied casualities, and who knows how many Japanese.

I dont believe this explosion was the mossad, the msm is pushing thst angle way to hard. Iran gains nothing by denying a direct attack. They did nit deny when their scientists were killed by the mossad why would they deny this? It is not the first explosion at a military base in history.

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS article says CIA.

Newt Gingrich says he would go full speed ahead.

Explosions and assasinations at Iran nuke base pinned to Israel may have been CIA

In public Sunday, President Obama was at a summit unsuccessfully leaning on Russia and China to back diplomatic efforts to curb Iran’s nuke program.

In private Sunday, there was more evidence of an efficient and brutal covert operation that continues to degrade Iran’s military capabilities.

Iranian officials revealed that one of the 17 men killed in a huge explosion at a munitions depot was a key Revolutionary Guard commander who headed Iran’s missile program. And the IRNA state news agency reported that scientists had discovered a new computer virus in their systems, a more sophisticated version of the Stuxnet worm deployed last year to foul up Iran’s centrifuges.

Iran said the army base explosion was an accident and the new Duqu virus was contained. But Israeli newspapers and some U.S. experts said it appeared to be more from an ongoing secret operation by the CIA and Israel’s Mossad to eliminate Iran’s nuclear threat.

The covert campaign encompasses a series of assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists since 2007 and a similar explosion at another Iranian missile base two years ago both widely attributed to the Mossad.

“May there be more like it,” was all Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said when Army Radio asked about the new blast.

There was a third mysterious event: The son of a top Iranian hard-liner was found dead — a seeming suicide — in a Dubai hotel on Sunday. His father called it “suspicious” and linked to the base explosion, without elaborating.

Israel was accused of deploying the 11 agents who killed a top Hamas terrorist in a Dubai hotel last year.

Obama came under withering fire from the GOP presidential candidates at a debate Saturday, when the front-runners agreed he had been too weak on Iran and vowed to go to war to stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions if needed.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) slammed Obama for not being “smart” on Iran.

Gingrich said he would launch “maximum covert operations” against Iran, “including taking out their scientists. . . . All of it covertly, all of it deniable.”

White House deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters that pressure on Iran had put its leadership in disarray, and “the Iranian economy has ground to a halt.”

Actually I would say the UN is a professional war starting organization.

What the UN is suppose to be about and what it actually does are 2 vastly different things. Its difficult to use an entity like the UN to ensure world peace when it has member nations who arent concerned about the UN at all.

Syria is slaughtering its own people - Russia / China will veto any measure..
Iran is building a nuclear bomb - Russia / China veto any measures
Arab countries want Israel to be taken to the UN, while those very same countries refuse to comply when the UN needs to deal with them.

Its not going to be the UN who is attacked if Iran gets the bomb.
Its not going to be the UN who gets attacked if neighboring countries stop syria from their one sided slaughter.
Its not the UN who gets a sham trial and stoned to death for being raped.

The UN brings a zen like approach when it comes to actually dealing with problems. Its the same argument gun rights activists make, and I agree with them, when it comes to law. Whether its a person or country, no amount of legislation / laws etc are going to deter criminals.

In the end, the criminals will be the only ones who will survive as the UN takes a victory lap for "helping the people".

A question for you and a few others.

Why do you keep saying the CIA is involved?

An article from PressTV -the offical mouthpiece of the Iranian government- states it was accidental. Ammunition being mishandeled resulting in the explosion.

Do you think Iran would keep it quiet if they discovered this explosion, or the one last year at their missile storage facility, was done by Israel or the US? They would have all the evidence they need to defend themselves militarily.

I ask this because in a buynch of other threads dealing with the Middle East, people discount Western Media while extolling the virtues of PRessTV / IRIB / etc. However, in this thread the very same people ignore the ofical response from Iran, opting instead to use Western media, which they have discounted before, simply because it suggests a CIA / Mossad operation.

Is PressTV a credible news source when it comes to their own affairs?

The opinions of the article's authors are the ones who are implicating government agencies.

I bring it up anytime a "credible" or "uncredible" or even an "incredible" source mentions it.

Anything I myself say without a source is strictly and always my opinion only.

Anyone who agrees or disagrees is no problem to me.

This latest Iran incident has had at least 10 different scenarios.

I don't know who to believe as truth.

For all I know, the incident never even happened.

But I do like the opinion of the Iranian general being an assassination target.

It ties in with other recent assassinations that seem to be targeting Iranian nuclear programs.

It is possible that all sources have their own bias and agendas.

Some carefully crafted carelessness can work wonders for any mind bending agenda.

They might if the Iranian leadership has a financial agenda with Western powers.

It seems they do when we take a close look at the money issues and where the money goes, and where it sits.

At the same time, they certainly need to satisfy their population's agenda.

Mixing religion with heavy duty finance is tricky.

Iran attempting to "defend" itself would lead to mass destruction .... THAT might not be in the game plan.

Iran has a large oil flow, unlike Libya and perhaps some other M.E. countries.

What do you think would happen to the price of oil if Iranian production gets reduced by 50% or more ?

You didnt really answer my question but I get the basic idea.

What I am pointing out is the fact that PRessTV is not so much a media outlet but court stenographer for the Iranian govrnment. Unlike western media, who can report without fear of being arrested / shut down for criticising the government or its members, PressTV cant.

The offical Iranian response was it was an accident, yet people ignore that. Out of curiosity, and no offense intended, but could it be possible you and some others are ignoring the PressTV / Iranian government offical response so you / others can continue to blame the west / israel for the incident?

I ask because that is what im seeing. Thought id ask for clarification.
Also the question you didnt really answer -

Do you think Presstv is a credible media source or no (keeping in mind PressTV only reports what the government tells them to report, where as western media does not have that issue). Every story PressTV runs is given to them from the government. I cant see the some reports are valid some reports arent valid argument with regards to PressTV simply because of how they get their info.

Thanks

How do you want to win a debate ? really ?

you should have said "Do you support him wipe Israel off the map?"

It would have worked much more for you.

OR you could ask "Do you support Iran destroying the planet?"

Jihad is nothing more than to defend yourself.

+Savage invaders know that Muslims are people of peace , so they just attack them to take as much as they could from their natural resources.

I have a question , Do you support US attacking any country decides ?

Are you a man of peace , or you just want US to attack any nation and they sit there still while they are being rubbed in broad daylight ?

Some people here are just pro-American. They just don't understand what people in Middle East want.

They just want their chained beast to attack Iran and other nations who intend to live different than people in US.

We want peace and we want US back in it's home.
