Please just calm down. I like this to be a debate.Just don't punch me in the eye.

You got me wrong about this :

So, I am ignorant because I do not share in your flawed opinion of the U.S.? Very intelligent statement....When one cannot debate intellectually start name calling!!

oppression of woman no rights
husbands can rape their wives!
women accused of adultry if they are raped!
cutting out peoples tongues if they speak out against Iranian President or Islam
imprisoning and killing anyone whom speaks out against Islam

They are false news that you have been fed by your govt.

Stoning of woman

Married woman who claims herself that she had sex or four just men to justify while seeing she was having it , is stoned

What you see in the movies are just based on lies. Nothing more.

public lashings

It will be a good lesson for others to control their animal being. Like we all have a animal side.

Proclaiming to develop nuclear energy when everyone knows they are working on a bomb!

This is what just US govt has claimed about Iran . There is no proof.

by the way is this your thread now? What is your purpose? I happen to know several Iranians and they are nothing like you. You only represent the twisted truth of your leader.

I said once that I am here to know how American people think. But keep in mine that I am one Iranian and you are one American. I am not as good in English as you are . So , take it easy on me.

+ I know some Iranian who don't think like me , they are the ones who live Iran to enjoy their kind of freedom.

And if you don't trust anything that I said , you can do your own investigation about those facts.

But if I were you I wouldn't trust those people who don't care about where they lived and where they have been.

They just don't have any roots.

It seems to me that for the US or Israel to be involved there would have had to have been something significant as a target.

Unless one of you knows what the target was, simply blowing up a few weapons at a military base would seem to be a waste of resources.

I know that people love to blame Israel and the US but I kind of laugh when you try to blame the US and Israel for everything.

Some think this was an assassination of that Iranian General that was killed.

The West has a recent history of killing Iranian scientists and targeting computers.

Most have been surrounded by much drama as diversions.

This is all about foreign control of the resources.

Iran has many to be exploited.

Unlike Libya, the Iranian infrastructure must remain intact .... too much oil and gas is at stake.

The steady flow needs to continue.

Iran has been doing business with foreign nations for a long time.

Iran has assets in foreighn countries.

oh how some people only read or remember what they want too, well your right he did say it in 2005 www.guardian.co.uk... from the link

Iran's new president created a sense of outrage in the west yesterday by describing Israel as a "disgraceful blot" that should be "wiped off the face of the earth". Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who is more hardline than his predecessor, told students in Tehran that a new wave of Palestinian attacks would be enough to finish off Israel.
so now Mahmoud Ahmadinejad either has selected memory or just lies when he wants too

Maybe it's better for you to do some investigation about materialism and then lack of spirit that is the disease of materialism.

That is why the want to find a new prophet to silence the voice inside them.

Nostradamus could be an option. He has some prophesies and most of his predictions seem to be true.

End of debate.

I was just thinking that in America , people are all-knowing , because of their language.

But now I see that it is not true.

Say hello to those Iranian and tell them , enjoy your new prison of freedom. Enjoy the illusion of freedom.

Don't mind sending replies.

so let me ask you this who is not telling the truth we see as murder you see it as a just act www.ynetnews.com... from the link

An Iranian court has sentenced two more women to death by stoning, a human rights group reported Thursday, adding the horrific sentence was made worse by the fact that one of the women was pregnant.

Maryam Ghorbanzadeh was recently convicted of adultery and although she is pregnant, was sentenced by an Islamic court to death by stoning.
and then you say one the is raped is guilty of adultery. to us in this west because of western teaching you are wrong , but to you , you are right and just for doing this, so it is not our views and opinions that make us different it is our teachings.

There has been questions about Ahmadinejad 2005 comments.

Translations seem to vary from report to report.

one opinion here;

THE ACTUAL QUOTE:

So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in farsi:

"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."

That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word "Regime", pronounced just like the English word with an extra "eh" sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase "rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods" (regime occupying Jerusalem).

So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want "wiped from the map"? The answer is: nothing. That's because the word "map" was never used. The Persian word for map, "nagsheh", is not contained anywhere in his original farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase "wipe out" ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran's President threatened to "wipe Israel off the map", despite never having uttered the words "map", "wipe out" or even "Israel".

"Wiped Off The Map" - The Rumor of the Century

maybe hmdphantom has a view?

maybe a specific dialect is being mis-translated?

Speech in Farsi?

Careful.

Ynet is an Israeli source.

People think they are bias.

Is there a credible Iranian source for these reports.

Any genuine court transcripts like we see here in the USA?

A pregnant woman should give birth to her baby first. It is just a shame that her name is Maryam.

ETA : I know that some people choose only one piece of Islam which public doesn't like , the they try to focus on the details.

Only the people who can not look at the big picture , will follow this intentional magnifying.

Ok , I should add this.

Two points should be clarified in advance. The first point is that our demand is the liberation of Palestine, not the liberation of a part of Palestine. Any plan to divide Palestine is completely unacceptable. The two-state idea which has been presented in the self-righteous clothing of "recognizing the Palestinian government as a member of the United Nations" is nothing but giving in to the demands of the Zionists - namely, "recognizing the Zionist government in Palestinian lands". This would mean trampling on the rights of the Palestinian nation, ignoring the historical right of the displaced Palestinians and even jeopardizing the right of the Palestinians settled in "1948 lands". It would mean leaving the cancerous tumor intact and exposing the Islamic Ummah - especially the regional nations - to constant danger. It would mean bringing back decades-long sufferings and trampling upon the blood of the martyrs.

Any operational solution must be based on the principle of "all of Palestine for all Palestinian people". Palestine is the land that extends "from the river to the sea", not one inch less than that. Of course it should be noted that through its elected government, the Palestinian people will run the affairs of the any part of the Palestinian soil they manage to liberate, just as they did in the case of Gaza, but they will never forget the ultimate goal.

The second point is that in order to reach this lofty goal, what is necessary is action, not words. It is necessary to be serious, not to make ceremonial gestures. It is necessary to have patience and wisdom, not engage in a variety of impatient actions. It is necessary to consider horizons that lie far ahead and to move forward step by step with determination, reliance on God and hope. Muslim governments and nations and the resistance groups in Palestine, Lebanon and other countries can each identify their share of work in this general struggle and solve the puzzle of resistance with Allah's permission.

the same is true with Christianity, pick the worst and that is it , when all seem to come from one Abraham, at times like thees i do miss my old friend Raj he was from Iran, we would debate each others views right or wrong the law is the law, belief is belief, and we all bleed red.

with a little digging and knowing what to look for I have found the speech , for one must know the sides of the coin here is the link www.iranfocus.com... here is the sentence

Our dear Imam ordered that the occupying regime in Al-Qods be wiped off the face of the earth. This was a very wise statement. The issue of Palestine is not one on which we could make a piecemeal compromise… This would mean our defeat. Anyone who would recognize this state [Israel"> has put his signature under the defeat of the Islamic world.
Not for nor against what is said, just like facts.

Condemn OWS? I think they are a bunch of hippies that need to fill the hours.

So nuking a country is justified if that country has committed massacre and torture? Be careful of what you say, because the US has done both in the last 10 years and it's all documented.

bekod-
how true, there were times , I have experienced translators at work even they do not seem to agree on who said what.

And the first thing that a translator knows is that languages are more accurately translated by relative meaning, not exact word-for-word translating. In other words, it's extremely easy to manipulate the translation of something said in a language far from English, for people to hear who only know English.

Uh yeah.... Remember "Israel will be wiped off the map".???? quote by Ahmadineijad

Selective memory, I'm sure.

Hey, guess what? That's a complete misinterpretation of what he said, but I'm sure you wouldn't know that considering you prefer to repeat the same BS line printed by Western media instead of doing research on the source.

Sometimes I wish ATS was more lax with its T&C because some people deserve a good chewing out...

Because Iran has not imposed sanctions on America , has not supported wars against America , has not killed American citizen in American airplane , has not been trying to stop America from scientific development , has not threatened to attack America.

Isn't that enough ?

I just know that Iranian are not doing it

"Death to America.

clearly that toward US govt. I try to help this matter inside Iran.

Israeli secret service the Mossad linked to Iran military blast

A series of news reports linking Israel's intelligence agency the Mossad to a blast at a military facility in Iran, in which 17 people were killed and a further 15 wounded, has gained widespread coverage in the Israeli media on Monday. While Iranian officials insist the explosion at the Bid Ganeh base was accidental, caused by the movement of ammunition, claims from anonymous western and Israeli officials that Saturday's blast was a covert Israeli operation have gained momentum.

www.guardian.co.uk...

And further open provocations

Among those killed was Major General Hassan Moghaddam, the Revolutionary Guard Commander charged with "ensuring self-sufficiency" in armaments, and described by Iranian media as a pioneer in Iranian missile development. Israel's defence minister, Ehud Barak, responded to news of Moghaddam's death by saying: "May there be more like it."
