The headline as it refers to the conditions at these occupy protests is correct....There have been deaths from overdoses at some of the other cities as well. I can believe the tuberculousis too. A lot of regularly homeless people who have no intention of living anywhere else have taken over some of the sites. It is making harder for the people who are trying to change things look legit.........

The worst disease found so far is G.S. (gross stupidity) because they voted for the man (Obama) who gave wallstreeters all that cash and they'll turn around and do it again...

How do you demand respect for your movement when you have publisity like this?How do you expect to be allowed to stay in these parks when you won't even go home and clean up and get a fresh bottle of water?I know, these are isolated incidents but things like this spread.........fast.

When do the people that have nothing to do with these movements start getting sick just being in the area??????Better yet(or worse yet) what kind city fathers allow this to become what it has??

Proof that liberals are in charge of purity much everything in these city's I'd say.......just my opinion,chill out lib's.

Ummmm, excuse me. These people waived their right to protest when they smashed widows, looted and vandalised private property. They also lost their right to protest (leagally) when they are protesting on private property and don't get off the property when the owner asks them to.

And like this OP points out, the sanitary conditions are bordering on illegal at this point. Ya know.....many parts of this country (USA) worked long and hard for literally decades to get their cities cleaned up and nearly litter free. There are laws against the kind of littering and sanitary conditions going on at the "OWS" protests.

Last week when me and my buddy went down to the Occupy Providence to goof on all the left wing hypocrites from BROWN UNIVERSITY rallying agaist capitalism and big corporations (will someone remind these Ivy League elitists how their parents PAY their 50-100k a year tuition. These kids and their left wing brainwashing teachers ARE the pretend 1% they talk about), meanwhile there isn't a single big corporation in Rhode Island. They are protesting empty office space. The only big corporation in Rhode Island is.......wait for it..........BROWN UNIVERSITY, which was built on the backs of slaves and literally owns half of the property in Providence and pays absolutely no taxes on any of it........anyway I'm ranting, the point I was making is the protest was FILTHY.

These OWS protest are illegal in SO many way, it's rediculous to me. So you OWS supporters shouldn't try to guilt people into supporting OWS because "they are Americans legally protesting", because they really aren't. The Tea Party rallies, and all those Obama and dem support rallies early on by like John Stewart and the Cooper guy.......those are "LEGAL" protests or rallies. The OWS rallies are NOT.

Actually, you shouldn't just aasume things about someone before you post. I in fact have no political affiliation. I am beyond a left/right paradigm. I am also beyond political correctness which is destroying America from the inside out, so I call it like I see it, and I don't spare the truth to spare someone's feelings. I call the OWS people what they are. And most are left wing whackos. But I was also specifically talking about Occupy Providence, which is all Brown University kids who are all completely left wing brainwashed by their left wing whacko Ivey League professors who give good grades to any kid who turns into a left wing whacko. Is that so, the story in the OP has no proof or even evidence at all, it is based on the thoughts of one unnamed doctor and what two random people alledgedly said.

Further reports say that 2 people were diagnosed in a homeless shelter in the area. It was not clear if it were homeless people or protesters.

Just because I'm (and you're, according to you) beyond the left/right parigm, does that mean everyone else is? You're not under the assumption that how we think somehow controls how the rest of society thinks are you? Of course not. Regardless of whether or not I WISH everyone was beyond left and right, the fact is the vast majority of Americans, and even Australians, Europeans and Asians are either politically left or right. I like to think of left and right as the 3rd and 4th biggest religions after Christianity and Islam.

No you are not buddy. If you would call it like it is you would call them ordinairy people, fed up with the government corruption and the dishonest financial system, yet you insist on calling the whole movement left wing.
