More information for you...The Inquisition and the Crusades were utilized to spread, "Christianity," throughout the world...The one way to stop the slaughter of people was to actually incorporate many of the traditions of Paganism and other religions into, "Christianity"...this may be in fact, why you have so much difficulty understanding what it is truly about...

Wouldn't the best way to stop the slaughter be to just stop? Why must one person be forced into another persons religion? Basically it's like this... The Inquisition said "we are right, you are wrong. Join us or die". Neither side had proof of any existence of a God and still don't.

The Old and New Testaments have been declared perfect by God. There is no need for those other books, as they are not contained within the Bible. God knows the past, present, and future. When His Spirit inspired those prophets to write the books of the Bible, He knew which ones would be compiled into the Bible as we know it today.

The Old and New Testaments are the two witnesses of Revelation. The Old Testament told of the coming Messiah, and the New Testament confirmed His arrival. Therefore, there is no need to read these other books you mentioned. They just aren't needed. There is nothing wrong with them, since a few of them are even mentioned in the Bible, such as the Book of Jasher; but, there is no reason to worry about them since we have what God has chosen to have compiled into the Book which fully reveals His will to us.

To learn about the two witnesses, please click the following link. It will teach you how the Old and New Testaments are the two witnesses. www.remnantofgod.org...

The two witnesses are most assuredly not the Old and New Testaments.

They will be men. They will perform miracles.

If they have been declared perfect by God then why was the book of Enoch in the bible, then taken out of the King James version? Enoch is still in Ethiopean Christian Bibles. Is that Bible imperfect?

Yeah, they did stop...but the church in question, specifically from Rome wanted money...and they wanted people in the Church...so they incorporated pagan ritual into the religious practice in order to facilitate incorporation and indoctrination into other beliefs...same as any other man-made system...

There is nothing relevant to life on Earth in Enoch that we need to know.

In fact, can someone show some proof that the book of Enoch wasn't a recent addition, made to look old? Because it doesn't read like any of the other books in the Bible.

how many people did Jesus kill. i'll tell you the answer, 0.

if you claim to be a follower of Christ, and you kill someone then you aren't following His example.

i agree, true real Christians can be counted on two hands. they usually end up as saints.

the rest try, but fail. you can't kill anybody in the name of Christ. you dishonor His memory and corrupt His teachings in front of the world.

you turn people away from God.

Further, let us just say you are faced with burning at the stake...your choice is to be set ablaze or you can state you believe in the Pope...what do you choose? Not so easy when you love life, is it...

It isn't as simple as "No Killing!"

It's "Do not commit murder."

God ORDERED the early kahal (congregation/church/assembly) to lay waste to the non believers, lest they get a foothold and lead people away from God.

Furthermore... If the early followers of God had actually listened to him and killed all the pagans/etc, we wouldn't all be so far away from God today.

The Book of Enoch is just as old as other texts relied upon for translation and was certainly part of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which has verified a large part of the current canon...

I have no idea what point you're trying to get across. You're actually proving my point in the original post. How is all life sacred if your religion murders?
Also why wouldn't you believe in the Pope? He is a real person. Maybe you meant God?

You consider yourself "far from God," because of the actions of others?

I consider society as a whole "far from God" because we haven't followed his rules since.... He put them in place.

That's only true if you can prove in Gods existence. Who is to say that Paganism wasn't the true religion of God? Pagans did not murder Christians over their religion. They worshipped everything and truly practiced 'all life is sacred' unlike Christians. Also, they did not listen to God and in essence defied him. Shouldn't Christians be killed for not following his word?

Don't make a religious topic, asking for biblical references and verification, and then say that one must prove God. In fact, that is clearly outlined in the rules for this sub-forum.

Ah, belief in the Pope does not mean you "believe," in him as being a human...it means you believe he is God incarnate here on Earth...the same as Caesar or the Tsar or the Kaiser...all the same word at the root of it...and that is where you get to the crux of the problem...so in fact, I am not proving your point in the sense of true, "Christianity." I am simply showing you the way to understanding why that word even exists...and hopefully a way through it toward deeper understanding...

Yea, they worshipped everything, and everything was sacred, EXCEPT FOR GOD! THAT was the problem! Worshipping false idols, and the created, and not the CREATOR!

My point was you can't prove that Christianity is the "right" religion. Just because your opinion is that it is doesn't make it so. I didn't ask for biblical references either. I was asking questions of why. Please re-read the first post if you don't fully understand what it is that I'm asking.
